Spent some time with family in a park today. It was beautiful -- the golden light, the colored leaves, the screaming, the mist on the lake... ^_^

Are you a black metal enthusiast by chance?

Said park is right next to a developmental center. Likely one of the residents was out for a walk, or something.

No? Is there something I'm missing?

It's a park, clearly there would be children screaming in play!

I... don't think it was a gleeful child.

It *was* a child?

Because black metal albums tend to be bleak and often involve black and white photography of lakes and fog.

And they most of the time contain some kind of screaming.

On Fridays I only have one class and no work, and I found out today that next Friday's class is canceled. So I have the whole day free! :D

Well, maybe. But considering the location, it’s more likely a ... somewhat unstable adult.

Ahh, okay. Yeah, metal’s not really my thing. -_-

I just finished applying to BYU!

I assume you mean provo? Best of luck! If you don't get in, and depending on what your degree is, you might want to think of BYU-Idaho.

I went to a Utah Symphony concert the other day! :D

But... is it bad that I actually preferred the Hungarian Dances over Beethoven's Fifth?

Of course not. You're allowed to like less widely-known stuff over more famous stuff. ;)

I'll get in. Take your own assessment of my stuff: 34 on the ACT, 3.9 average, musician, eagle scout, seminary graduate, duty to God completed, NHS, ect. 4s on all my AP exams, except one where I got a 5.

But if for some reason I don't get in, i couldn't go to Idaho. It doesn't have Molecular Biology or Genetics, my fields of choice. But I'll get in.

True. :P

My heart did actually start beating a little faster in that moment before the conductor started, well, conducting the Fifth. But the Dances were almost straight chills. :D

I think I'm with you on that one, despite never hearing 'em live!

My mental health has been shaky but I have an action plan now. I think I'm gonna be ok.

Plans are good! You can do it, whatever that is!
