I found an awesome shirt. I don't know just how good news this is, but it is an awesome shirt. It is...

A selfie shirt. It says "This is my selfie shirt", but is says it backwards, so you can't read it normally, but when you take a selfie, it reads foreward! And it's also one of the most comfortable shirts in the world!! :D

Maybe this makes me a horrible person, but I always thought Olympic speed walking was the funniest event ever. The way they have to walk to keep from getting away with running or jogging….I always thought it kind of makes them look like penguins. Fast penguins, all moving down the same jogging track, for some reason.

Ikr.... Track in general bores me to watch except   watching Bolt run and he's not even for our team. It mostly makes me feel tired watching all that energy being burned. I do like javelin, long jump, & pole vaulting though

Gymnastics is my favorite section of the Olympics. Floor routines, uneven bars, and balance beam, to be specific. Some great contenders this year!

Gymnastics are my favorite to watch too. (At least during the summer Games) I love pretty much all the events in that category! Vault, floor routine, balance beam, parallel bars, uneven bars... The things those athletes can do absolutely astound me.

One of the reasons I love watching the gymnastics portion is cause I totally cannot do gymnastics. I would probably whack my head on the uneven bars cause I'm so tall. ^_^

I won two free Thursday passes to Salt Lake Comic Con!! I already bought my ticket, but this means I can take some friends along. :D It's a lot more fun going to the con with somebody than going alone.

I had a technical phone interview with Google, I did one question OK, but screwed up the other one :/ I guess that would be my chances for working for Google saying bye bye, for the next year or so...

Turns out I did so good on the first question, that I just got a phone call inviting me for an on-site interview in their Warsaw office :D

It's so pretty. It's like one part dance twelve parts insanity.

More good news!

1. Yesterday I won a free autographed copy of J Scott Savage's next book (unreleased at this point), Gears of Revolution, by solving a riddle he posted on his Facebook.

2. I'm winning my war against the spider army that's invading my basement. I captured the massive wolf spider that almost skittered across my bare feet yesterday morning (scaring me half to death in the process, I might add) and flushed that slontze down the toilet.

D&D tonight was good. Climax of the current arc, intense boss battle, all homebrew creatures, dwarven forge.....it was good. Everyone had a good time, and they won :)

I put a lot of prep time into that session and it payed off.

One of the local libraries in my area has Arcanium Unbounded available on pre-order, and I now have the first and only hold on it, so as soon as it is available, I will get it, without even having to buy it, and I will get to read it first, as opposed to my brother hogging it while he revels in the delights of new cosmere novellas and short stories. Now I will have the short stories first! Yay! B)

GoT #3 spoiler

Spoiler

So I just finished a Storm of Swords, and everyone dying and not-dying made me happy, admittedly. Joffrey's dead, Lysa's dead, Tywin Lannister's dead, Catelyn survived a throat slit and drowning. It all kinda made me feel like this.

Three things.

1: I just realized that I ranked 4th in popular contributers for last week!  (Although I definately won't next week, because I'm going to a camp that doesn't allow technology).

2: I couldn't find a lot of Brandon Sanderson short stories/novellas, short of buying them online, because a lot of the free online reading sites are of questionable legality, to say the least. I realized, however, that a bunch of them are in Arcanium Unbounded, which I have on hold from my local library, as soon as it comes out!

3. I have reached 200 posts, which is either a really cool thing, or means I am, indeed, 100% obsessed.

@Renoux Who says being 100% obsessed can't be a cool thing? :P

I had a cool encounter on Friday. I was walking to my job on BYU Provo campus and there were tons of new graduates in their caps and gowns taking photos with their families on the grass and sidewalks. I realized that I recognized one of the dads, and as I approached I called, "J Scott Savage?" And he looked around and said, "Yes?" And I was like, "I'm Kayla; I won your riddle contest on Facebook." And he got this really happy look on his face and it made me super happy too.

(For those who don't know, J Scott Savage is a popular MG author who bears an uncanny resemblance to both James Dashner and Rick Riordan.)

I'm leaving for camp tomorrow! It's gonna be a lot of fun, and I'm pretty sure I have enough stuff packed, (of course, there can never be enough packed, says my OCD side), and a lot of people from my church are going! I am so excited! -runs off to make sure everything is packed- ^_^

Exciting! Though I have one concern. Does the camp have Internet?

Advice: be sure to keep at least one Sanderson book with you, just in case.
