Briar King Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 "baby doe" identified! Her mother and her boyfriend are now arrested. I can't believe it took 3 mths but I'm just happy they finally did.
Briar King Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 On a lighter note: my brother from Houston is in town and we re all at the new casino sitting outside on the beach looking over the lake. It's kinda amazing. 2
Briar King Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Well no one has had a good day in a while I see as I'm triple posting over the course of 4-5 days. I'm happy today as I've gained a lot of strength back after my mild fit Sunday morning and my head hasn't hurt for the most part today. Just a little twinge that Excedrine is keeping under control. 2
ParadoxicalZen he/him Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Well, I'm excited for my sister's baby-shower this sunday as I get to give my Build-A-Bear gifts to her and my other sister (who also recently had a child) Werewolf Jedi ftw? 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 My sister is reading Elantris. 7
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Her 1st Sanderson bk? Her first Cosmere book. She's read Reckoners and Alcatraz. I was a little miffed that I've been bugging her to try the Cosmere for months and she only started when a coworker loaned her Elantris and The Final Empire, but a start is a start. 1
Briar King Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Cool. At least you ll be able to help her connect the dots as she goes.
Frosted Flakes Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 The permit for my house got approved unexpectedly early, so construction will be completed about six months ahead of schedule! 2
Delightful Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 My mum forwarded me an email from book depository about the Shadows of Self release . 2
Zathoth Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I preordered Shadows of Self, so I'll get it somewhere close to release.
Cartith he/him Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I got a job interview at a public library next Thursday morning! 3
Guest Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I got in for Shadows of Self at my library before the 640 other people that are now on the list, so I'll get my copy first...
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 My sister has finished Elantris. When I told her about Warbreaker (thematic opposite of Elantris, about an agnostic god who ROCKS) she said it sounded "thoroughly awesome." 4
Guest Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 What an understatement. Warbreaker defines awesomeness.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 What an understatement. Warbreaker defines awesomeness. She hasn't read it yet, so she can be forgiven for the understatement.
Briar King Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 I'm a very unreligious person but I've been watching the news for hours at a time back logging my dvr on my normal shows to watch Pope Francis coverage. He is a very charismatic man and I find myself smiling when he interacts with kids. I hope the Church has him for another 15-20 yrs. He's just an awesome human being. 2
DanTheSeamonster he/him Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 My mother's birthday party is on Sunday! She's turning the big 50 and we're going to surprise her! My Older sister and her family is already here, and my older brother and his new girlfriend will be here too! It will be nice to celebrate and have the whole family home. 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Guess what I just got. 2
ParadoxicalZen he/him Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Guess what I just got. A job of being a superduperalphacool Librarian? (or just a job?)
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 A job of being a superduperalphacool Librarian? (or just a job?) A pug named Bruce. 10
Curious Anamaximder he/him Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 A pug named Bruce. YES!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2
ParadoxicalZen he/him Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 A pug named Bruce. Which also equally worthy. Huzzah! Pictures are a must! 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 And here he is! He's the one I held in the pet store on Friday, and when I went back today, he remembered me. He sniffed me, wagged his tail, and kissed me all over—and when they took him away so I could hold the girl pug, he got upset. Bruno seems to like him so far, and he seemed to like him in the pet store, too. I was worried, but it seems I didn't have any reason for it. 6

He's just made himself right at home, hasn't he? 2
