TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 [northern english accent] Fantastic! [/northern english accent] The entire class passed, Rose! Just this once, everybody passed! (I didn't have any doubt you'd pass, but everyone was quoting Nine and I couldn't resist. ) 6
Mistrunner Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Well... I don't have a Nine quote (though the gif would certainly apply) but I got six books yesterday. For free. I would dance around the room yelling "Yay yay yay yay yay!" but I'm too busy reading. 6

Fingers crossed, everybody... Read it before. But now I own it. (And yes, I'm rereading it now.) And good luck! Hope you get it! 1

+Slowswift Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I had reason to create this today: Yay! Sounds like a good day so far!
Kobold King he/him Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I had reason to create this today: I have no idea why Woody is so opposed to kindness. Care to elaborate? We could all use a reminder that the human race isn't entirely made up of slontzes.
Kasimir he/him Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 When it rains, it pours. Just found out tonight that I've been awarded five academic awards for this semester. It's kind of excessive, but I'm ridiculously happy about it. This wasn't my hardest semester, but it wasn't a walk in the park either, and I'm just glad (Even if they hilariously got my gender wrong on my transcript >>) 4

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Have you ever seen the early storyboards of Toy Story? Woody was pure evil lol Until the execs decided they hated those storyboards and gave Pixar full creative control. I think they made the right choice.
Silverblade5 he/him Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I have no idea why Woody is so opposed to kindness. Care to elaborate? We could all use a reminder that the human race isn't entirely made up of slontzes. It isn't?
Kobold King he/him Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 It isn't? Well we all have made slontzes of ourselves and fallen short of the non-slontzeness of God, but we still have a few redeeming qualities to ourselves. 1
Quiver he/him Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Well we all have made slontzes of ourselves and fallen short of the non-slontzeness of God, but we still have a few redeeming qualities to ourselves. *looks at Kobolds rep rank* My, how modest of you. 3
Silverblade5 he/him Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Well we all have made slontzes of ourselves and fallen short of the non-slontzeness of God, but we still have a few redeeming qualities to ourselves. We do? Really? Because I rarely see these off the forum
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 We do? Really? Because I rarely see these off the forum The librarians where I interned were awesome. The branch director was one of the warmest, friendliest people I ever met, and her only ulterior motive seemed to be improving the library to make peoples' lives better. The YA librarian's big campaign was to instate a library bus so teens and others without access to reliable transportation would be able to access the programs they wanted. Everyone there wanted to help others in some way, and they were open to new ideas and new points of view. So good people do exist; you just have to know where to look. 2
Delightful Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) I have no idea why Woody is so opposed to kindness. Care to elaborate? We could all use a reminder that the human race isn't entirely made up of slontzes. Sure.A friend and I were on the bus, and just as it was about to pull away, a young soldier comes sprinting up to the bus, in full uniform, carrying a gun and everything. The bus driver stops and reopens the doors for the guy, who then motions for the bus driver to wait until a slow, frail-looking old lady (his grandmother???) got onto the bus and sat down, at which point he got off the bus and left. (This is Israel, so off-duty soldiers in full regalia are not an uncommon sight. ) Later on, two approx 18 year old guys had stopped to help an older lady who seemed to have some kind of dementia. There's just pure kindness everywhere in this country. It's the best. Edited June 8, 2015 by Delightful 2
Guest Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Are you in Israel for some extended trip? I could have sworn you lived in Australia?
Delightful Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Are you in Israel for some extended trip? I could have sworn you lived in Australia? Correct on both accounts.
mail-mi he/him Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 (This is Israel, so off-duty soldiers in full regalia are not an uncommon sight. ) THERE'S MORE THAN ONE OF HER, AND THEY'RE SOLDIERS?!?!?! 1
