Lindel he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Nope. I'm trying to think of a way to give a hint that wouldn't make it ridiculously obvious.
Kasimir he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I'm in this awkward position where I want to field a guess or two more, but I want to let others have a go since the limit is ten guesses. And I'm not ready to try and come up with another boast again ...I think I'll stay out of it, now 1
Lindel he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 You've still got four guesses left, and no one else is clamoring to guess at the moment. I'd go for it, at least for one more.
Kasimir he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Fortunately, you mean. I really don't have the mental energy to do another boast at this point, though I'll be exceedingly interested to know what the answer to this one is!
Lindel he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Fair enough. If I win, does that mean I have to produce another one? Can I just pick someone to do the next one in my stead? 2
Ashiok Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) Pattern EDIT: Or shallan? Edited February 28, 2015 by Ashiok
Sirce Luckwielder he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 You can keep it going as long as people are guessing if you really want to, otherwise, you can just give a couple more hints.mat fifteen guesses I think the limit should undeniably be called. My guess is Kaladin, it reminds me of the story of Fleet.
Lindel he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 No on Shallan and Pattern, though I can see where you're getting that. Pattern's the closer of the two. Also no on Kaladin, though I'm surprised that wasn't guessed earlier. Here's a hint. If the poem were personally written by the character... Let's just say it would be very different. 1
Lindel he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) Nope. Can't really give any more hints without giving it away. Four more guesses! EDIT: Or until I can come up with another Boast, whichever comes first. Edited February 28, 2015 by Lindel
Curiosity he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Very different boast, eh? That probably means low self esteem... or lack of poetry skills... or lack of interest in poetry. Very similar to Pattern... Taravangian? Stormfather? 2
Lindel he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Both are good guesses, but both are wrong. Not necessarily very similar to Pattern, just more so to Pattern than to Shallan.
Lindel he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Curiosity already guessed Taravangian. I've thrown together another one, which should be substantially easier. Should go ahead and reveal this one?
Xaladin he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) Renarin? Eshonai? (this guess doesn't make sense?) Nightblood? Edited February 28, 2015 by Xaladin
Lindel he/him Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) Nope, and nope. Pretty sure that's fifteen guesses now, so without further ado: It's Stick, from Words of Radiance. The Stick's version of the poem would go something like this: I am a stick, I am a stick, I am a stick. I am a stick. I am a stick, I am a stick, I am a stick. I am a stick. I am a stick. I am a stick. I am a stick, I am a stick. I AM A STICK. And the here's the next one. This should go a lot faster: I have seen much that cannot be unseen. I have done much that cannot be undone. I rage against the Darkness that’s taken everything I loved. I fight other’s battles, due to guilt, not loyalty. Nevermore shall my own actions burden me. Edited February 28, 2015 by Lindel 3
