Kasimir he/him Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) I can name them, but I have no idea on the size. I'm happy to settle for the names, if you'll name them. Kobold: I wanted to avoid fan languages, where possible. So sadly, most of the list became the "languages I think are wicked cool and would love to speak" list. Edited January 27, 2015 by Kasimir

Curiosity he/him Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Hey! That's relative according to the distance from the star... Are we assuming an Earth-centered view of the stars?

In that order I think List the three brightest stars (Excluding the sun) Or more if you want, I'm never sure what's a reasonable number 1) The North Star 2) One of the stars associated with Australia, in the southern cross? 3) Some other bright star... Because I know that this isn't correct, for your entertainment pleasure, a simple picture of a grizzly (aww, look how cute it is!): Because I too love geography questions: name the two countries in the world that are doubly landlocked, i.e. the two landlocked countries completely surrounded by other landlocked countries.
little wilson she/her Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Because I too love geography questions: name the two countries in the world that are doubly landlocked, i.e. the two landlocked countries completely surrounded by other landlocked countries. Oooh, that's a good one. My first instinct is to say one is one of the 'stans, but I don't think that's right.... Liechtenstein? I think that one is, since it's stuck right between Switzerland and Austria, and it doesn't touch Germany or Italy....The other one is probably in Africa. My gut says it's either Rwanda or Burundi. I'll go Rwanda. Name the 3 capitals of South Africa EDIT: Ah! I was right! It was one of the 'stans! Uzbekistan. That's frustrating. Ah, well. Speaking of cute animals, here you go.
Bronzeheart he/him Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) Cape Town, Pretoria, and I believe Bloemfontein is the last. They are the legislative, administrative, and judicial capital respectively. Name the two countries with the longest non-militarized border in the world. Edited January 28, 2015 by Bronzeheart

Titan Arum Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) Name 15 international airport codes (for example, JFK or LAX for New York City and LA, respectively) When you say international, do you mean not in the US or can they count as well, since they're international to non-US folks? Or do you mean that we can only use the code for airports that have international destinations? [Edit] Ok, for good measure I'll do my list anyway, mostly of airports I've flown to or through: ACC: Accra PNH: Phnom Penh FRA: Frankfurt LHR: London CDG: Paris LLW: Lilongwe CGK: Jakarta NRT: Tokyo SVO: Moscow HAN: Hanoi JNB: Johannesburg TPE: Taipei MAA: Chennai SJO: San Jose, Costa Rica AMM: Amman IAD: DC SFO: San Francisco What 7 countries are the most populous? Bonus points if you get the correct order. Edited January 28, 2015 by Titan Arum

I wanted to cut out podunk airports that only fly to two or three places in the general vicinity.

"Liar!" "Get back, witch!" "I'm not a witch, I'm your wife! But after what you just said, I'm not even sure I want to be that anymore!" "Humperdink! Humperdink, Humperdink, Humperdink!" "Good luck stormin' the castle!" "To the pain." "My way is not very sportsmanlike." "You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die." "What I wouldn't give for a holocaust cloak." "You are the Brute Squad." Titan Arum Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 You beat me to it little wilson, I was just typing the following: Ohhh! What a great movie. Here ya go: 1) "As you wishhhhhhhh" - Westley 2) "Inconceivable!" - Vizzini 3) "There is a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. It would be a pity to damage yours." - Westley 4) "Mawwwage, mawwage is wat bwings us together today." (sp) - The stuttering priest 5) "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." - Inigo Montoya 6) "Anybody want a peanut?" - Fezzik 7) "It's not my fault being the biggest and the strongest. I don't even exercise." - Fezzik 8) "Have fun stormin' the castle!" - Miracle Max So now I need to come up with Monty Python quotes... 1) What are you going to do? Bleed on me? 2) I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! 3) Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?! 4) Help, help! I'm being repressed! 5) I am your King. Well, I didn't vote for you! 6) We are the knights who say "Ni!" 7) She turned me into a newt...Well I got better! 8) First shalt thou take out the holy pin. Then shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. 9) Bring out your dead! 10) On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It's a silly place. Name all 7 books in the Chronicles of Narnia. 5
