Titan Arum Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) Apparently I know more confederate generals than US...I wonder if that's because I grew up in the town where the first major battle of the war happened? Jo and the Bush all/any Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Wow. Titan wins two in a row.
Titan Arum Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Alright then. I guess 15 was a bit ambitious. I probably should've said 10. I could easily come up with 10 so I assumed others could do 15. Here are some answers: 1) JordanCon 2) Dan Diego Comic Con 3) WonderCon 4) NY Comic Con 5) Anime Expo 6) DragonCon 7) A-kon 8) Baltimore Comic Con 9) SLC Comic Con 10) Fan Expo Canada 11) BronyCon 12) AggieCon 13) London Super Comic Convention 14) Emerald City Comic-Con 15) Phoenix Comicon And now, a new question: WLIU, name 2 mammals that lay eggs.
Kobold King he/him Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 And now, a new question: WLIU, name 2 mammals that lay eggs. Short-beaked Echidna Long-beaked Echidna Also, the platypus. Without looking it up, name thirty members on this site who are not moderators.

Without looking it up, name thirty members on this site who are not moderators. Nice! I originally was going to say 3, but wasn't sure if people knew there were multiple (4 actually) species of Echidna! I thought for a while there that I killed this thread. I'm glad all it took was an easy question for people to answer to get it going again. Edited February 4, 2015 by Titan Arum 1

Edit: New question, since this previous one may be too niche. WLIU, name 5 empires, dynasties, or civilizations at their height pre-1800. (Example, post-1800: The English Empire, which was at it's height in the early 1900s.) Edited February 4, 2015 by Titan Arum 1
Eilemelie Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 The Roman Empire Egypt Qin dynasty Inca Maya Way too easy for the archaeology student Without looking it up, name five metal bands.
Lindel he/him Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Storm it, I could've gotten that one. Eilemelie didn't even mention any of the Mesopotamian civilizations... Ah well. Metal bands? I could probably name one... maybe. Although it'd probably count as "hard rock" or somesuch.
Titan Arum Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) 1) Slayer 2) Metallica 3) Anthrax 4) Black Sabbath 5) Gwar That was a relatively easy one! Ok, WLIU: name the 5 cities that hosted the last five SUMMER Olympics. You shouldn't have redone the question! More people should read that book! 1. Botany 2. Mechanical Engineering You get an upvote just for having read it too. Though I can't do your current question...

Mechanical Engineering You get an upvote just for having read it too. Though I can't do your current question... Good job! I'm glad someone else read The Martian, because I thought it was amazing, well-researched, and well-written. Another book I also really, really enjoyed and want everyone to read as well is Wool Omnibus by Hugh Howey. If you haven't read it yet, and you like dystopian SF, give it a whirl. I am beginning to feel like most of my questions are too difficult, but it can't hurt to attempt to answer them. If people fail, the penalty is a funny picture. When I see them hang around for over a day, that's when I change my questions. Which may happen again with the current question!

I will now attempt to answer yours...I know 14 for sure so the 15th is a guess. 1) USA 2) Greece 3) Great Britain 4) Argentina 5) Australia 6) Cuba 7) Chile 8) Sweden 9) Iceland 10) Cambodia 11) France 12) Russia 13) Norway 14) North Korea 15) ...this is a guess, and I may be thinking of the flag of Ohio, because it's funny shaped too, but: Nepal WLIU: What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow? Nope, just kidding everyone. The real question: WLIU, name 15 animated Disney/Pixar movies. [Edit] Sweet! I got really lucky. Nepal's flag has a very, very small outline of blue! I was indeed thinking of the Ohio flag. Edited February 5, 2015 by Titan Arum

EDIT: Bonus points if you get the one they released before they were officially founded. I can add maybe two more movies to Left Vash's list (but I won't say them) but I KNOW I can get the bonus one: Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind Edited February 5, 2015 by Titan Arum 2
Lindel he/him Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 You're still missing a couple Miyazakis. My original question was going to be only fifteen, so I might give it to you if you get a couple more.
Titan Arum Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 You're still missing a couple Miyazakis. My original question was going to be only fifteen, so I might give it to you if you get a couple more. We're also missing a few Takahata films. Like the most depressing Grave of the Fireflies and Pom Poko.
Lindel he/him Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 True, but I figured at the very least you guys could get all the Miyazakis. I dunno, maybe I'm just partial to Miyazaki, but his films have always been the most classic of Studio Ghibli to me.
Curiosity he/him Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 4. Hoid (Forward, at least) Hmmm... I can time travel. Just forward, at least. So can Marasi. And so can Wayne. But if we were having a time race, Marasi would beat Wayne badly. 3
Lindel he/him Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) But Hoid would beat them all. I guess you're right, though. If we aren't counting Pulsers as time travelers, we probably shouldn't count Hoid either. EDIT: By the way, if anyone can get fifteen Studio Ghibli films, I'll count that.
