I just gave my state here a couple pages ago (California, by the way) and of course the description  was in How Do You Imagine Your Fellow Sharders? Most of the rest was “accidentally” revealed offhandedly.

Yeah most of the stuff would be harder to find without notifications. The description was when you took your break, state literally yesterday. And most others would require some actual digging.
