Autonomy felt the destruction surging toward Scadrial, annihilating all in its path. A terrible wound had been gouged in all Realms and Virtuosity had fled the scene. Briefly Autonomy gazed into the future. The possibilities were tangled and almost unreadable but… there. There was a way forward. One where Virtuosity and its abomination were destroyed for good. There was nothing to be done at the moment. Attack would be a fool’s errand. All that was left was defending Scadrial and planning action later. Honor at his side, Autonomy protected their world. A bubble of violet light surrounded Scadrial as their Investiture wove together, forming a shield from Virtuosity’s assault. Below, their fledging people stared at the sky with awe as it danced with colors, blissfully unaware of the god who wished to raze them.

Not really sure how to deal with this.

After the next few posts (setting things up), imma be switching over to my non shard character

Ambition conditioned. Culled. Cut. She smiled as she considered the perfection of her intent. She could destroy the Ambition of others, and as long as it furthered her goals, her power wouldn't bat an eye.

And so, she culled. She took away their Ambition, giving them a singular thought, foremost in their mind.

The Maw obeyed, for those Ambition.

 

When the time came, she sent a message to the Maw. She asked it to sate it's hunger with the others, and pass by her planet.

She asked quite sternly, she might add, imposing as much Shardic will as she could (safely).

And finally, she protected her planet. Allowed it to help the power along its way, divert it.

Does that  work? I don't think a shard can just will another shard's splinter into changing it's mind.

Anyway it should flow back around afterwards.

Dude - it's a splinter, Ambition is a shard. Its intent matches Ambition's already. Ambition isn't asking much, in the grand scale of things, and is also helping it along.

Reading through what others did, they kinda just said they protected it.
