So, Cultivation, relying on his old plan that he knew would prevail, spread Preservation's magic across Uviab. He made it weak enough that it would not fully prevent it, but strong enough to prevent collapse. He knew this would prevale.

As he saw the supernova wash across his world, he quickly rebuilt it behind the supernova. This time, made of stories. He also placed an island with a cave. In the cave, he held his Purest Story. And the key to being his Avatar. However, he also made it dangerous. He needed something he could use for a final challenge.

As she deliberated, Anibelmeth noticed movements amongst the other Shards. She observed, and was delighted to see Whimsy antagonising Dominion. Good. With any luck, two of the worst of them may be wiped out in one blow, with no need for her to step in. She saw, too, how Preservation had converted their seeds into antinvestiture, sending them to destroy the maw. Assuming Dominion lasted long enough, she now had no need to assist with its schemings and could destroy her seeds as they came. It appeared that at long last, things might finally be going her way.
