You can do anything a Shard can. You are allowed to search for a new star system, like some have already done. @Dragonheir's with a white-dwarf and G-Class star binary system.

That reminds me, I should do something.

Try things. Solve problems. Urged the power that Layke now possessed. There were not any problems besides the other shards - and Layke would not be meddling in that. Instead, he resigned himself to action and made his first true creation as a Shard. He knew, somehow, that his power could also be expressed as a metal; a metal that some would likely call Laykium. And Invention was a special Shard - construction and adaption were core tenets of the power.
And so, after careful thought, Layke reached out with his power and lightly brushed a portion of the dust cloud that engulfed his system. Laykium collected on the dust.
This would not be the last use of the metal - for Layke could already see all the metals, and this one especially, could change over time and be used in more than one way - but it would be the first. Over what a mortal would consider a significant portion of a lifetime, the Laykium dust began to move together, bringing the other dust with it. As the Laykium collected together, it slowed relative to the binary stars, then stopped. It fully ceased to move next to the ordinary one - directly in line with, and the exact distance of, the white dwarf. There it remained, spinning on its axis but remaining nearly unchanging in its orbit - a perfect positional mirror of the white dwarf across from it. Ordinary dust in the obit continued to move, colliding with or being caught by the gravity of the gradually expanding cloud. In time, this cloud collected enough dust to begin collapsing and rounding. Layke now had a planet to call his own.

A planet with a Laykium core... sounds like how Canticle might've formed.

Also, around the G-Type star there are 2 dominant gas giants and probably some others I haven't rolled for.

And behold, Ambition foresaw that those who dared approach her would wither and die in the light of the Sun.

Behold, Ambition stretched forth her hand, and uttered words of power, words of creation that were pleasing to her purpose.

Ambition carved from the earth of this Yolen’s caverns, lined with Aluminum.

And above these caverns she placed terrible storms from the loosened earth, covering the land indiscriminately.

Deep within the Earth, Ambition placed rivers of power, liquid Investiture which she allowed to pool at the deepest point. And with this power, she formed a Gateway, access to another realm. The realm of the Mind.

Within her paradise, she created plants as it pleases her - choosing those plants which were especially Ambitious. By the light of her power, the plants flourished and grew, becoming unstable.

And behold, she saw fit that these plants would be unstable, so that she may force them to feed upon each other in order to grow.

Next, she graced the land next with animals. Modeled after the perfect form of the Fainlife, she foresaw that these animals would not survive without competition, must fight over control of her rivers of power.

And behold, she foresaw that these rivers weakened her. So she placed herself within their depths, within the lake that they formed. So that at any moment, she might reclaim their power.

Her land ready, she found a worthy supplicant, one who might appreciate her power.

As Mercy continued pooling her power, she came to the people of her planet. She came, and she helped them, relieving those in pain, those in need. She did not show herself directly, of course, but left signs of the work of Mercy, such that they came to worship her.

And Anibelmeth hesitated. Through this, she would be stalling their advancement. She had worked to end the gods, and now she became one herself? But surely, since she could not strike now, it was not wrong to relieve suffering until the point at which her goals might be accomplished? Yes, this was right, but she would have to be careful not to allow this to continue too far.

And so, she turned her focus back to the other Shards of Adonalsium, and viewed their actions with interest. Whimsy and Dominion, both conveniently in the same place... if they conflicted, perhaps she could finish them both in one fell swoop. Ambition however... Anibelmeth saw the cruelty with which Ambition acted and was enraged. Previously they had done so well! Yet another testament to corruption and greed.

The others were all moving faster than her, and her plans would not be ready for much time. But if she waited too long, she risked being singled out. A move would have to be made, soon, but she was not confident in her own ability. Looking into this path, Anibelmeth foresaw many futures where she was destroyed, and was unsatisfied. If she fell, none would take her place, and the cosmere would be ruined. Perhaps she should do something to change that, a... contingency, should all else go wrong. But she needed to focus on the problem at hand. As she searched the infinite threads of the future, she saw a hopeful possibility. There was one other, perhaps, that might work with her, at least initially. But she did not contact them yet, for she needed to see the results of the interactions between the other Shards.

And so Anibelmeth bid her time.

Quite enjoyable, to see the many facets of reality at once. Grace only found herself in one, however. The Spiritual, where most of Odium resided, and where their power was greatest.

It was time to pull strings.

Threnody. Where the dragon Andarneoas had chosen to reside. Direct visions of her actions were obscured, of course, as the details of the future grew blurry where her counterparts meddled. What Endowment planned, however, could be gleamed by Grace’s own knowledge of her personality, and the actions she had thus far witnessed.

Humans would chafe when trapped in a cage, no matter how gilded. The true human experience was to be found in a world of uncertainty and passion, just how Yolen was. For it was only in such circumstances that victory and defeat held meaning. It would not do for the people of Threnody to forget that. Grace would make sure of it.

She reached out to the souls of mortals, not the planet. Endowment had already suffused that enough, and neither Grace nor Odium held a desire to be affixed to one location. Perhaps the wake of Ruin would hide Grace’s touch.

Threnodites had a curious ability to persist in some form after death to a greater degree than most. It was to this that Grace made changes. Inserting into willing souls an instinctive remembrance of how they lived in the past. An inborn desire to live life as it was meant to be, designed to persist through generations, until that longing would be fulfilled. One day, hopefully, the people of Threnody might call on the power of Odium to support their attempts at freedom from Endowment’s control.

Ever present, Grave could feel Odium’s longing for that day.

A system, as of yet unnamed. Invention started the beginnings of a new planet. Grace did not lend power to its creation. All she cared for was people, who could feel emotion to the intensity that her Shard desired.

When Invention decided to create a mortal species, she wished to be there to lend an invisible helping hand.

Nerakalis, in the Selish system. Similarly, Ambition had not yet created intelligent life. One day she would, and Grace was sure the conditions she’d foster would align well with Odium’s Intent.

Autonomy and Honor planned to create their own world. A foothold into their creation would serve her well, yet she was hesitant. Odium might match the power of any other Shard, but none could yet match two.

There were others, of course. Not as quite suitable for manipulations. Not yet attached to their own projects, or harried enough to hold firmly to vigilance, or for the moment obscured from sight. Most assuredly would there be future opportunities.

Ambition modeled her own planet, Nerakalis, after Yolen. Hence ‘this Yolen’.

Are you going to name it something other than Yolen? I think Old Yolen should stay the only planet named Yolen. I am probably going to name my planet Yrots.

ATTENTION!

This is only meant to be until Shards settle, so don't do too much.

Ambition - you may create intelligent life if you please

Preservation - where are you going after New Yolen is a thing?

Invention - You may create life on your planet

Ruin and Devotion - what are you two doing now?

Autonomy and Honour - Are you creating Scadrial now?

Dominion - You may do things to Ashyn if you wish.

Whimsy - Are you going somewhere now that Dominion doesn't want you in this system?

Endowment - You may do stuff on Threnody

Cultivation - You may do stuff on New Yolen. Also, where did you move this planet to?

Virtuosity - Are you doing anything in the Taldain system? Are you Investing the Supergiant?

Mercy - Keep doing what you're doing

Reason - In the Scadrian System, do you wish to help with Scadrial's creation?

Odium - I like what you're doing. Just make sure to not affect anything too much if you don't want to be stuck there

Valour - Where are you going?

An orange dwarf star. 'Tis 0.72 Suns in mass. A year on your planet, if you want it in the habitable zone, will most likely be around a month, though I must use some Artifexian stuff to make sure. Also a decent chance of tidal locking.
