We've waited for a week tho- which has put me in a worse spot. I'm being attacked, and will loose. I'm conviently sitting on a bomb. Obviously I have to set it off. What else would I do?

Whimsy stares at the 2 shards manifesting before him. Mercy, suprisingly, seemed bent on attacking. Invention too, had stated diplomacy was not his strong suit, and Valor was alredy preparing for a clash.
Whimsy burps a couple times while considering the mechanics of a shard-clashing.

@KaladinsSenseOfHumorSpren Would most of the shard be incapable of a Shardclashing?  As many are already bound to a Planet or star system, they would not be able to leave to confront Virtuosity.
Please confirm or debunk. Also, I would still like to know which shards are bound to which systems.

He begins doing backstrokes in the void, though there was no up or down, as he gazed into the stars, seeing chickens dancing among the expance of space.
He makes a flateulent noise, and bolts upright. He immediatly dives forwards, knocking MErcy's and Invention's projections off their technically incorporeal feet. He flies past them, leaving their projections windmilling about in space for a moment, and stops, using his shardic abilities to look forward; light-years ahead, he saw Virtuosity, still fueling the Supergiant, which was looking dangerously close to supernova.
"All this," he said in a falcetto voice, "to find the dawnshards?"
He breifly turns into mickey mouse, before returning to his human manifestation.
He begins to consider.
He has made up his mind.
He turns around, looking at Invention and Mercy behind him.
"I think we need to speak to Valour", he murmurs to them.

Valor used a small portion of his essence to stand before Whimsy.

"YOU HAVE CALLED. I HAVE ANSWERED. WHAT DO YOU NEED?

"WE STAND ON THE EVE OF ANNIHILATION, ALL OF US. VIRTUOSITY IS READY TO DESTROY THE COSMERE, AND ODDS ARE THE RESULTING BLACK HOLE WILL BE ABLE TO DESTROY US.

"SET ASIDE YOUE WHIMSY. WE NEED THE RAW POWER THAT YOU ARE."

How do you know that in character? You should be blinded in future sight. One thing to know a supernova will explode the cosmere, another that the resulting blackhole could kill a shard.

Cultivation enters the fray.

There are ways that we can shield our worlds, that this could benifit us, even.

It is foolish to believe that knowing the locations of the Dawnshards would be a harm.

This will be a net positive. You merely have to Shield your worlds. Shield them. Any shard can do it. Except for maybe ruin, but that's something else.

Spoiler

Eh, this is less future sight and more a Shard knowing the properties of something innately

Okay that's definitely not something you'd get from a regular supernova, hell even an invested one lol.

Investiture wouldn't normally stick to it- that is requiring a direct act of Virtuosity, and a choice by alph.

This- how does cultivation know it'll find the dawnshards? It's not a very logical jump, that a supernova would find all the dawnshards. The only reason any of yall know this, is becuase the GM and I revealed it.

Spoiler

I should like not talk about my plans to anyone ya'll keep getting closer to meta gaming.
Not only you coderdragon. not against you.

You do realize shards can just be like, I want to know this thing, and then they know it, right? I thought that if a shard wished to learn information about something, like the afteraffects of this specific invested supernova, they would be able to just, know it.

They could- if, ya know, another shard wasn't involved.

The specfic thing that will make it seek out the dawnshards, hasn't happened yet, and is an action, by virtosity.  Brandon has said;

"Any time that someone else is seeing the future in the cosmere, it's going to have ripples against your ability. Like they are-- you can't-- It's the same sort of thing that if-- someone who has access to atium is going to mess up anyone else's futuresight in any way, because once you use that it's going to cause you to act differently, which then-- And remember futuresight is not very good in the cosmere anyway. But yeah, it's just gonna mess things up."

Virotousity does have future sight- probably not as good as cultivation's but in the very short term, Cultivation is absoultly blinded, and can't just want to know something. It's fair to know that a supernova would destroy the cosmere, and it's meh to know that it would make an invested blackhole that would be a threat, but not every invested supernova would search for the dawnshards, that's something extra.
