Invention too, had stated diplomacy was not his strong suit, and Valor was alredy preparing for a clash. Whimsy burps a couple times while considering the mechanics of a shard-clashing. He begins doing backstrokes in the void, though there was no up or down, as he gazed into the stars, seeing chickens dancing among the expance of space. He makes a flateulent noise, and bolts upright. He immediatly dives forwards, knocking MErcy's and Invention's projections off their technically incorporeal feet. He flies past them, leaving their projections windmilling about in space for a moment, and stops, using his shardic abilities to look forward; light-years ahead, he saw Virtuosity, still fueling the Supergiant, which was looking dangerously close to supernova. "All this," he said in a falcetto voice, "to find the dawnshards?" He breifly turns into mickey mouse, before returning to his human manifestation. He begins to consider. He has made up his mind. He turns around, looking at Invention and Mercy behind him. "I think we need to speak to Valour", he murmurs to them. Invention sighed, for many reasons. “I would prefer not to get more involved, but I agree that it seems necessary. Both Valor, and sadly combat.”

al_lan_mandragoran Posted July 10, 2025 Posted July 10, 2025 I, Honour, and Gadris, the Vessel of Autonomy, drifted in the cold void of space, close to a small yellow star. In the distance, power still pulsed through the Spiritual Realm, from Virtuosity's abominable actions. My power writhed, yearning to fight against him, but I controlled myself. This is more important, I told my power. There is more trouble to be faced than just Virtuosity, and the work we are about to do will be the first step toward defending the Cosmere. COME, I transmitted to Gadris. LET US BEGIN, AND BUILD OURSELVES A PLANET. YES, he replied. LET US BEGIN. A surge of power built up in both me and in Gadris, and burst forth into the space in front of us. Pure investiture coalesced into a solid sphere of gleaming metal that swirled blue and crimson. That done, I formed for myself a body, not really knowing why, just that it felt right. Beside me, Gadris did the same. I stretched out my hand towards the sphere, and a second blast of power encompassed the sphere in soil and hard, unyielding rock. My power appreciated that. Gadris then touched the partially formed planet, bringing forth strong and untameable rivers of fire that flowed through the rocky crust. I stretched out my hand a second time and filled the open basins of the earth with water, the steady flowing rivers likewise. Gadris touched our creation again, and created for it an atmosphere - air filling the space close to the earth's surface and making a breathable environment. Winds, also were formed, blowing across the face of the planet, beholden to no one and nothing. IT IS GOOD, I declared to Gadris. ALL IT LACKS IS LIFE. His avatar nodded. THEN LET US CREATE LIFE. With a wave of my hand, plants sprang up across the face of the planet. Trees, modelled after the ones on Yolen, formed broad forests as if they had been there for centuries. Birds filled the air at Gadris's command, swooping and soaring in the wind. Animals, and all manner of creatures occupied the forests. Fish, and all sea creatures followed after. AND NOW, Gadris said, as we surveyed the planet and all its occupants, NOW WE MUST MAKE MAN. YES. IT IS TIME. As in the first instance, a surge of power built up and then was released, but this time, instead of forming separate parts of a whole, the two powers combined and formed a thick mist that shrouded a clifftop by the sea. For a few tense moments, neither I, nor Gadris spoke. Then the mist collapsed in on itself, and vanished. In its place, stood a small crowd of humans, of differing heights, builds and colouring. I, Honour, and Gadris, Vessel of Autonomy, watched our creation for a time, as the humans on the clifftop slowly began to wake and view the world in which they found themselves. Then, deeming that the time was right, we formed for ourselves bodies and stepped out in the midst of our people; I in my robes of Justice and Equity, and Gadris in a simple cloak and tunic, his auburn hair and beard immaculately groomed. The humans fell to their knees as soon as they saw us, fearful of the incredible power that we both radiated. RISE, Gadris commanded them, and they did, on shaky legs and with frightened expressions. YOU ARE OUR CREATION, Gadris told them, AND WE ARE YOUR GODS. @SpartanBrigade Quote What do you think? 3

All together, this mass of investiture sends ripples through the star's substrate. At its core, the three realms merge, shooting waves of heat and investiture into the cognitive realm. Throughout the cosmere, those sensitive to that realm's permutations hear the keening of metal grinding against obsidian, as a warning for what is to come. Tiny souls are forged in the heart of the star that will grow into their own. Virtuosity utters a Command to the investiture, loaded with the intent and will of a god. SEEK. SƎƎʞ˙ The SuperGiant shivers as the forces in its core slow just barely enough to disturb the delicate balance that kept it intact. With a laugh and a grin, Virtuosity let it happen. And it will be beautiful. For a moment, and just a moment, the star went eerily, unnaturally, still. Time seemed to slow, as if the cosmere itself was taking a breath. Then, with a soundless scream that rippled across the three realms, the star collapsed. The star collapses inward, crushed by the weight of its own gravity, investiture, matter, and energy being forced into a smaller and smaller point—Singularity. A heartbeat later, violence erupts. Splendorlight erupts in all three realms, carrying with it bursts of stellar matter, exotic radiation, and Alphium chunks that split and twist around their twin. A bloom of Virtuosity's investiture floods the three realms, traveling faster than light ever should, riding ripples in the spiritual, creating great clouds of riotous color. Valor has no hope to stand against forces of this magnitude- they tear through his clouds as easily as planets. Throughout the cosmere, skies go alight with Cyan, Magenta, and Crimson, dancing and turning night into day. The worlds where life dwells without something to protect them are annihilated instantly when the wave strikes, their souls joining the screaming flood, their bodies ceasing to be in the flash brighter than their suns, a single command pouring through their flayed minds. SEEK. SƎƎʞ˙ They cling to shardworlds, to shards, to aethers, to any chunk of investiture they can get their hands on, seeking desperately. The souls sigh as their minds evaporate like water from the griddle, passing blissfully into the beyond. Virtuosity will not hold them captive. He is not cruel. Their investiture, though... The worlds with protection are battered by foreign Investiture, chunks of Alphium spiraling downwards towards the surface, some slowing as they approach the earth, others speeding up. The investiture sinks into the worlds, integrating itself into the water and air, so unless it's Gods wishes to start again, they must abide it. Largely unnoticeable amongst the barrage, 13 pairs of twin souls land on worlds that are already made, and lay in wait for those that are not, be they scoured or not. They are seeds that will grow into something extraordinary. Clouds of investiture fill the space between planets, having sought as their master commanded, now drifting unmoored, without a command. Some collapse, others maintain their gasious state. Meanwhile, back in Taldain, the core continues to collapse, drawing in matter and investiture inward. Gravity grows stronger, and the perpendicularity grows larger, until the collapsing core, too dense and too massive, passes a point of no return. No force could stop it now, not the supernova, maybe not even a shard. There's a rip, and the barrier between realms first buckles, then cracks, then, most dangerous of all, ceases to be. In an act greater than a perpendicularity, three realms become one in Taldain, and the life that had managed to survive the barrage (For virtuosity did save some), find themselves adrift in a sea of investiture, floating on the remains of their broken world, moored only by thought and their own will. Virtuosity's Godhood is strange here. The power is… slippery, and the world seems. But at the center of this wound lies a blister, and there the fracture point itself begins to come alive. An avatar, a splinter, a perpendicularity, the remnants of a dead star - all these terms fail to encompass its nature. And like any newborn, it's hungry. Virtuosity holds it in his 4 arms, and coaxes it into awareness, murmuring into its ear his plots. When the others seek to strike him down, they will find a trap. And thus amongst the chaos, Virtuosity flees, lost amongst the splinters of himself. Quote Imagine the broken space in taldain as STORMLIGHT Spoiler That vision space where Rayse was killed by nightblood. Valor- you could die here. 2
