Vita's more of a species concept that developed a character as I thought about it. Focusing on wilderness survival, he's primarily a guard/attack eevee; when you're from a world where almost everyone is trying to eat you, even in "civilized" lands, being a stalwart guardian for your few friends and being loyal to said friends is key to lasting thriving. although, being what is effectively a living poison-spiked bramble-bush with a longsword for a tail does indeed help.

Roy fell backwards putting a hand to his head. He had a pounding headache as pieces of his memory returned. He saw every use of his power as clearly as the day he experienced it but none of the context… little did he know that half of what he could do was hidden, bound by something else. Helios shimmered once keeping the memories of the destruction that he had caused locked away until he was ready

Roy pointed to a rock with one hand and snapped with the other, a thin red bead shot from his hand to it and did no damage. As he moved his fingers the laser also moved with it
