Okay so here goes the rant

Remember the exams I was stressing a lot about in March and early April?

Well I got results for some of them

Wait first some context

There was that exam that I knew I would fail

However my school lets you "compensate" a bad grade if a)it's not too bad and b)your general average is good enough even with the bad grade

So the goal was to get that

Well some of the other grades have returned now

(Yes they are taking their sweet time to correct)

(I suspect part of the issue is that someone has to enter all the grades in the system for us to see them, and that someone has lots of other stuff on their plate, so sometimes teachers tell us they're done correcting a full week before we can see the grades)

But anyway

I don't know for that exam yet

But the other ones I was kinda counting on to compensate... well they're in

And they're not great

I outright failed two of them, one by not much, one by a lot

So with that exam on top of it that will be three hard retakes

Which sucks

I do have lots of time bc I'm effectively in holiday rn

But I don't know if I'll be able to make myself work

And I'm starting to doubt whether I'll do it at all

This will be the fourth time I'll be passing some of those (counting the retakes last year)

So doesn't help with self confidence *nervous chuckle*

 

Also I have no real idea when the retakes are

If it's anything like last year it's one of the last 2 weeks in May

But I can't find any info on any of the school platforms (yes there are several, and most are incredibly messy)

Last year they moved the date because they had forgotten to tell us the dates in advance

Now I can't even find a "retakes date will be specified later" note like last year

I have a nagging suspicion that they forgot again

(Or they solved the "forgetting to tell" problem by deciding to not tell the students anything before the last minute, in which case I'll have to kill someone)

I got to go to a citizen soldier concert!!!! IM OBSESSEF WITH THIS BAND

And ok so I got a monster made of memories tshirt. And while the opening bands played we sat in the upper area and when citizen soldier came Mr and my brother went down and joined the bottom crowd and were in the back and then someone was like hey can you see and I was like not rlly snd then she let me go infront of her. And then that happened a few times. Reason why? I WAS SUNGING MY LUNGS OUT. AND ALSO VRUING BC THEY SUNG WOULD ANYONE CARE AND MY OWN MIRACLE AND THIS IS YOUR SIGN and I sang so loud I thought I was gonna throw up. And then eventually I was at the fence stopping people from going to the stage and I gave one of the guitarist a Lil air heart and he pointed at Mr and nodded like I see u and I dieddde ekskalwkejdnfkdkdkdkdl. I was crying half the concert and it is literally life changing. And at the end when it was over I stayed at the gate and watched the crew do their thing and all that jazz. And they were giving away stuff. One dude was giving away the set list and I got ittyttttt agahwbehabs endjskkwkebejskwkbdbdjd im dying bro

And then we got in line to meet Jake freaking segura THE LEAD SINGER HAHRIEKWKEKEK and I was like hey can you sign a page in my book and then I'll make a drawing and give it to you the next time I see you and he says yes. 

and then he signed my phone case. And so did lexx

and then I GOT TO HUG HIM ABAHHAHAHAHAHWJWKAKODODKDKDB

and take a photo this is awesome

I thought I was gonna pass out bc I was singing so freaking loud and my throat still hurts and it was literally the best night I've had in my entire life and ahahahahahga

I feel you. Kahoots are all fun and games until the class becomes a riot.

It does bring back some really good memories though…

There was this one time in sixth grade when I was in a Spanish class with this guy I hated. He was basically your classic jerk. We were always competing, but I was known as the smart kid and I always won cahoots. One day, we did this one Kahoot and it got really competitive, cause the two of us were neck and neck ahead of everyone else for the whole game. He was over the top, screaming, and I was just sitting there silently. Eventually, he got the lead… until the last question.

As soon as the question came up, I immediately knew the answer, so I clicked it instantly. Since I had time to spare, I looked over at this guy’s computer, just in time to see him select his own answer… the wrong one.

And for some reason, at this point, I just started laughing. I just couldn’t hold it in, so I was laughing in front of the whole class. He asked me why, and I told him, and I just got to see his face sink as he realized. I was going to win, again, and there was nothing he could do about it. Okay so here goes the rant

Remember the exams I was stressing a lot about in March and early April?

Well I got results for some of them

Wait first some context

There was that exam that I knew I would fail

However my school lets you "compensate" a bad grade if a)it's not too bad and b)your general average is good enough even with the bad grade

So the goal was to get that

Well some of the other grades have returned now

(Yes they are taking their sweet time to correct)

(I suspect part of the issue is that someone has to enter all the grades in the system for us to see them, and that someone has lots of other stuff on their plate, so sometimes teachers tell us they're done correcting a full week before we can see the grades)

But anyway

I don't know for that exam yet

But the other ones I was kinda counting on to compensate... well they're in

And they're not great

I outright failed two of them, one by not much, one by a lot

So with that exam on top of it that will be three hard retakes

Which sucks

I do have lots of time bc I'm effectively in holiday rn

But I don't know if I'll be able to make myself work

And I'm starting to doubt whether I'll do it at all

This will be the fourth time I'll be passing some of those (counting the retakes last year)

So doesn't help with self confidence *nervous chuckle*

 

Also I have no real idea when the retakes are

If it's anything like last year it's one of the last 2 weeks in May

But I can't find any info on any of the school platforms (yes there are several, and most are incredibly messy)

Last year they moved the date because they had forgotten to tell us the dates in advance

Now I can't even find a "retakes date will be specified later" note like last year

I have a nagging suspicion that they forgot again

(Or they solved the "forgetting to tell" problem by deciding to not tell the students anything before the last minute, in which case I'll have to kill someone)

 

Can you please confirm me that we are in 2025? That I am not stuck in a groundhog day time loop except it's groundhog year?

I got to go to a citizen soldier concert!!!! IM OBSESSEF WITH THIS BAND

And ok so I got a monster made of memories tshirt. And while the opening bands played we sat in the upper area and when citizen soldier came Mr and my brother went down and joined the bottom crowd and were in the back and then someone was like hey can you see and I was like not rlly snd then she let me go infront of her. And then that happened a few times. Reason why? I WAS SUNGING MY LUNGS OUT. AND ALSO VRUING BC THEY SUNG WOULD ANYONE CARE AND MY OWN MIRACLE AND THIS IS YOUR SIGN and I sang so loud I thought I was gonna throw up. And then eventually I was at the fence stopping people from going to the stage and I gave one of the guitarist a Lil air heart and he pointed at Mr and nodded like I see u and I dieddde ekskalwkejdnfkdkdkdkdl. I was crying half the concert and it is literally life changing. And at the end when it was over I stayed at the gate and watched the crew do their thing and all that jazz. And they were giving away stuff. One dude was giving away the set list and I got ittyttttt agahwbehabs endjskkwkebejskwkbdbdjd im dying bro

And then we got in line to meet Jake freaking segura THE LEAD SINGER HAHRIEKWKEKEK and I was like hey can you sign a page in my book and then I'll make a drawing and give it to you the next time I see you and he says yes. 

and then he signed my phone case. And so did lexx

and then I GOT TO HUG HIM ABAHHAHAHAHAHWJWKAKODODKDKDB

and take a photo this is awesome

I thought I was gonna pass out bc I was singing so freaking loud and my throat still hurts and it was literally the best night I've had in my entire life and ahahahahahga

It does bring back some really good memories though…

There was this one time in sixth grade when I was in a Spanish class with this guy I hated. He was basically your classic jerk. We were always competing, but I was known as the smart kid and I always won cahoots. One day, we did this one Kahoot and it got really competitive, cause the two of us were neck and neck ahead of everyone else for the whole game. He was over the top, screaming, and I was just sitting there silently. Eventually, he got the lead… until the last question.

As soon as the question came up, I immediately knew the answer, so I clicked it instantly. Since I had time to spare, I looked over at this guy’s computer, just in time to see him select his own answer… the wrong one.

And for some reason, at this point, I just started laughing. I just couldn’t hold it in, so I was laughing in front of the whole class. He asked me why, and I told him, and I just got to see his face sink as he realized. I was going to win, again, and there was nothing he could do about it. In my class, some teachers will just let kids do basically anything

But yeah, Kahoots are absolutely crazy
