Storm in Syl's eyes

What happened to Syl right before they reforged the Oathpact (lightning and clouds in her eyes, regal dress)? Is she now what the Stormfather was? A sort of spren queen?

I wonder if maybe it’s connected to that small piece of Honor’s power that split off just before Taravangian took it up in WaT chapter 143:

Hmm, interesting! I wish we knew more about what her "regality"means in practice. Does she have some new cool powers now?

Seems it's her job to accept new Radiant oaths now, something she inherited from the Stormfather. I'm also interested about the significance of her "real tears."

Did pieces of Honour and Odium split off do you think? I wasn’t sure on my read.

From the context I took it to just be pieces of Honor’s power that split off.

I assumed she'd simply become more corporeal after the 5th ideal.

Seems to be implying that she is the successor of the Stormfather as the largest remaining remnant of Honor.

Basically Syl is now similar to the Mist in Mistborn.  She'll (something something) Kaladin (something) Connection to reclaim the Honor shard.

I love this; it's an inversion of the Everstorm now. It only comes for the Desolation.
