I think a Stormlight Anime would be epic. I found a Fan made Opening credits on YouTube that is absolutely fire, it is animated by the youtuber Guro storyboards.

I do feel like the cosmere would work better in an animated form, as scenes like summoning a Blade or Plate would be impossible level action without CGI, and then you might as well make it animated instead.

Oh I've argued many times that the Cosmere should be adapted into animation and not live action several times on the site. I'll spare you the rant but it would be better in so many wayssss and it would be so coool!!!

The cool thing about the Cosmere is that it's so big, so I think a wide range of different adaptation types are definitely possible. 

I think the magic and combat of Stormlight would be awesome in an anime style. (Granted, I've only seen one anime, so my experience is limited, but...still.) Even if they don't end up adapting the main plotline in that way, I would absolutely love to see some sort of animated Stormlight story in the future.

I've actually mentioned fmab as a good anime style to base Cosmere stories off of in the past here on the shard. Fmab does a really good job of balancing very heavy emotional material with super ridiculous comedy moments in a very similar way to Brandon's writing style.

It's the acronym for the anime Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I happened to know that this was the specific anime Bookworm mentioned, so I didn't elaborate because my post was directed at him. (Also a quick google of the acronym will take you right to the anime).

Fmab isn't an anime style itself, I believe it counts as shonen. That said, it has a bit of a different tone and execution that gives it a more mature range of emotion that would fit the cosmere really well.

I think Stormlight, especially Syl and the spren, would be clunky and have too much CGI in live action, and would work great in animation.

Too bad many movie companies don't seem to recognize animation as a totally valid form of storytelling in its own right. (cough cough *Universal's new "How to Train Your Dragon" adaptation* cough cough)

That was actually so good! They timed that very well with the music too. I'd love to see it fleshed out to higher FPS and in color, and maybe if they extended the song a bit to allow them to cover each scene a little more fully, but this has helped sell me on this idea significantly.

Fortiche anyone? Regarding visuals and animation Arcane is absolutely fantastic and a similar style would probably work very well for something like TSA.

Though tbh with the music choices and amount of pop song/music videos in the second season I'm not so sure I want them anywhere near TSA or the Cosmere  just thinking about Kal fighting on the Shattered Plains while some Imagining Dragons song plays gives me the shivers... and not the good kind

Not here to spread any controversy with my hot takes, but I saw this and wanted to say that I agree, and that in my opinion, Arcane S2 was really not great, I wouldn't want them near the cosmere either after that mess.

If it turned out to be more like S1, then I'd be happy

To be fair, the visuals, animation, story, voice acting and even the musical score for the most part are still top notch (maybe even above in case of the visuals). For me it's mainly the songs with lyrics that really destroy the immersion. And I'm not against that in general, even in Arcane itself they do it well sometimes (e.g. the dance scene in S2, or the boxing montage), but the frequency it happens in this season was too much and often quite ill fitting, sometimes even jarring, for me.

It kinda feels like they desperately want to get as many contemporary songs in there that are or can be trending on Tiktok to go viral there. But who knows the real reasons behind it are. 

Anyways, I'm with you in that I enjoyed S1 more and if they'd do something like that for TSA it could be amazing. But let's see how the other rumoured LoL series by Fortiche may turn out and in the meantime continue fantasizing about all the great ways TSA could be done for the screen.

Another benefit to a Stormlight anime: those ginormous eyes anime characters have would make identifying someone's eye color super-easy.
