Perses, The Corridor, Dancing with Death Diner.

Quote

Perses entered the spacious diner, gun carefully concealed in his mistcoat. There were by his estimates close to 100 people in the room, 150 of you included people in back rooms and behind a false wall. Out of these, there were only at most 30 that Perses particularly cared about. The rest were either clients or partygoers—not worth his time.

In one swift motion, Perses raised and shot his pistol at the ceiling. “Everyone out!” He yelled. The music abruptly stopped, with the calming notes being replaced with panicked screams.

Almost immediately, around five of the staff began to open fire, including one of the musicians. Perses, with senses bursting through the roof, easily ducked under the rain of bullets. As the crowd rushed to the exit, Perses casually approached the nearest enemy.

Good. Feed the chaos.

The man shot, as well as a few others in the room. This time, Perses burned steel, and pushed. The bullets ricocheted, with some of the bullets colliding with enemy combatants.

“Coinshot! Drop your metal!”
Quickly, the enemies dropped anything metal on them. None of them carried much, and what they had on them was easy to remove. Clearly, they had come prepared.

However, they weren’t prepared for the Prince of the Alleys.

Sonyr ceased bronze for just a second out of shock. "WHAT THE HELL" then he flares his bronze, his eyes opening wide. "PERSES YOU ARSE- BURNING DOWN MY BOOKSTORE IS A TRAVESTY- DIE" and he throws a glass dagger he has on hand. "YOU WILL PAY IN BLOOD AND IN TIME"

Keshi, The Corridor, Dancing with Death Diner.

Keshi was able to teleport under a table from his perch outside the window. Without thinking, he removed himself from the vision of everyone around him. Well, except for the hemalurgist, though it seems they could see in a different way. He instructed Goto to move closer to a large suitcase to ,hopefully, blend in with the surrounding terrain.

he watched as people screamed and shouted, but he could do nothing. It broke his heart, but this was a reconnaissance mission not a rescue mission. So, he took out a notebook and started recording the fight.

Sonyr dropped his books on a table. "Alright, you are gonna die here, Perses. I'd like you dead rather than in jail, so I'm willing to betray corbeau for a bit..." he growls in a quiet voice. "See ya in hell" and he pulls out a gun and shoots it directly at perses.

@Koloss17

Perses, dodging both the presumably glass dagger and the bullet, looks at Sonyr. “Who are you?” However, in this moment of confusion, he lost track of the other threats in the room. An aluminum round hit him in the shoulder. Perses gasped in pain, and anger rose in him. Taking off his shades and tucking it into his mistcoat while avoiding further injury, Perses grinned. Let’s show them what we’re really made of.

Perses burned iron. Quickly spotting the other Allomancers in the room, including the one yelling at him, he pulled at metal behind them. At the same time, he began firing his newfound weapon in quick succession at each of them. Four rounds found their way into four allomancer’s heads. Perses raised his pistol, now relatively safe behind cover, and fired at the seeker.

Now safely behind cover, Perses scanned the area further. With the Allomancers, past the annoying seeker, all dead, he could try out the other fun part of this weapon.

Perses switched the pistol from aluminum rounds to tungsten.

From behind his cover, Perses aimed at his enemies. One by one, he shot precisely placed steel-enhanced tungsten rounds through his cover, through enemy cover, through the enemy’s chest, and through the walls behind them and into the street.

Using a mixture of carefully placed rounds and concussive force from metals around the diner, Perses silenced the fight, killing everyone but the seeker. He certainly wasn’t part of the gang, and he frankly didn’t seem to be a threat. He did, however, pull the man’s gun from his hands.

Emerging from his cover, Perses turned to face the mysterious seeker. “What is it that you’re mad at me for again? I don’t seem to remember you.”

Perses paused, taking a moment for his adrenaline to die down. Storing pain, the wound in his shoulder was barely felt. However, he would need to treat it sooner or later.

”A…Library? Why would I go after that?” Perses said, with mild confusion.

”I’m trying to control a district here, not spend time burning down libraries. I mean, look.”

Perses grabbed a hold of one of the fresh corpses and felt for a mark. Rolling up the sleeve, he showed the brand to the man. Sonyr, was it? “This is the mark of the Tin Street Mafia. They owned this establishment, along with a variety of other places in the Mistwarrens. Given the lack of actual care the rest of this city has for this area, they’re the only real force of power in the warrens.”

”Now why then,” Perses stated, “would I ever feel the need to burn down a library?

Sonyr shakes his head. "What, I'm not familiar? I'm an old acquaintance of someone you knew. I used to work in crime. and now you've pulled me back into it. Why, Perses, WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BRING ME BACK?" he screams with tears in his eyes. "I JUST WANTED A QUIET LIFE- AND NOW ITS BEEN TAKEN FROM ME TWICE NOW"

Frisian strides up to the city hall. He bangs the door open and proclaims, "I seek a private audience with the chief of law enforcement. And I suggest," he summons Talamar as a shardblade, "That you be quick about it."

As the guards scramble to obey, a wily teenager with the same confident air as Frisian slips in the door.

"Rather dramatic, don't you think?" he asks.

"Whatever works."

"I think you just like showing off," Kalad says with a smirk.

Frisian dismisses the shardblade, and Talamar gives him the same look as his squire. Frisian rolls his eyes.

"Fine, I will admit that it was slightly overdone."

"Slightly?" Kalad asks. "I-" He was interrupted by the arrival of the head law enforcer.

Phemus, Smokestack, Survivor Hall

Phemus, the chief constable of Smokestack, approached the interloper. Was he supposed to be scared by some haughty radiant? He was being escorted by his finest guards, each armed with aluminum bullets. Yeah, he felt safe. "Whaddya doing here, radiant? I don't usually respond to being 'fetched'." The nerve of nobility sometimes. "And besides," he added, "Smokestack isn't the place for Rosharans. Go ova' to the Corridor. They got more of your kind."

Being chief constable while not being a metalborn is tough enough already. Nobody really liked him because of it. But he was next in line when old Lester died, so they were stuck with him. He earned this spot. He wasn't about to be judged by some high and mighty Rosharan.

Perses, The Corridor, Dancing with Death Diner

"I...have no idea what you're talking about. I didn't burn down your library, and I am pretty sure that we never worked together." Perses sobered up a little. Had he done those things? His memory past the manor was...unreliable. To think that he couldn't trust his own thoughts was discomforting. Especially recently...

"...Anyway. I have places to be, and the constabulary will be here any moment now. I certainly wouldn't mind a fight, but I'd rather just get out of here. I suggest you do the same, unless you want to be the only man standing here when they arrive."

Sonyr grins wickedly. "Do you honestly think that a bronze compounder could do this? yeah, no way. However, maybe I can put you away for good, so I don't have to worry about you dragging me away from my books. Then I shall be happy." He steps forward, eyes wide open.

Perses pulled a nearby suitcase to trip Sonyr. It wasn't meant to hurt, just to let him get out of here. Maybe he should have killed him, but for some reason, he didn't. Maybe it was because Perses related to him, in a way. Trying to get away from crime was a noble goal, and one that he had failed to do miserably. And plus, having someone be able to report the scene in detail could add to his reputation.

However, as he pulled on the suitcase, he spotted a miniscule lifeform. It had a much larger life signature than any rat that he had encountered, but it definitely was different. As soon as he noticed it, it vanished. What was that?

"It shouldn't be too hard to convince him to give up his position as cheif of police," Talamar says, "At least in actual position. Convince him all he has to do is sat back and let you do all of the work, and I suspect he'll be happy." Frisian gives a slight nod to this.

"Though you'd need to do some more convincing if you want me to put you in charge of some forces. We have rules for that sort of thing. Breaking them will not look good for me." With his position already under fire, appointing a radiant that nobody has heard of in a position of power would just give his critics more ammunition. But, he was willing to hear this guy out. For the fun of it.

Keshi made notes during the fight. Making sure to silence his pen just in case. It is clear the hemalurgist doesn’t need to have clear sight lines and can see through solid materiel. They almost have some sort of radar. He wrote.

When the battle ended Keshi stopped his electric stopwatch. 7minutes and 53 seconds, he thought, noting it. Impressive.

The hemalurgist seems to be open to diplomacy, Keshi was writing as his cover was pulled away. Out of reflex, Goto teleported outside the building.
I guess that’s enough for now, he thought, sending feelings of satisfaction and approval to Goto. Now we wait.

Keshi quickly teleported to the closest observation points he had laid out as the target exited the building. He watched the arc and made notes about the targets flying capabilities.

Storm it. Frisian didn't have time for this! "Okay, listen up. I'm offering you either a generous payoff and an easy job," he hold out a pouch full of spheres, "Or a small political upheaval. I'll let you decide." He strides out of the room, squire and honorspren in tow.

Phemus stood there, stunned. Did the radiant just bribe him in broad daylight? However, the offer sounded pretty tempting…maybe he would take the fool up on his offer, but with some more time, and behind closed doors…

Perses, The Corridor

In Perses’ opinion, that was quite the successful hit. He got what he wanted, and managed to test out his new tool. Venser really lived up to his reputation, and he couldn’t help but be impressed by his handiwork.

With that done, It’s time to go home. Tomorrow, however, there was one last item to acquire.

Keshi followed the target home, but with recent developments, thought better of making any advances. He set up cameras surrounded by other metal around the apartment. It seems that the target can manipulate metal, except for aluminum for some reason, so can probably sense it as well which would explain the radar ability. Goto would need some major upgrades if Keshi wanted to confront the target. Goto trilled with anticipation from this thought.

Perses, The Corridor, The next day

Perses walked the streets of the bustling district. The variety of people here was always off-putting to him. It reminded him of his old crew, back in the cognitive realm. The words used around here were the same. Working for a common goal, but for different reasons. In the end, the collaboration all of the sellers and residents here had was a sham, and when worst came to worst, they would betray each other to save their own hides.

These negative musings swirled in Perses' head as he left the district. He needed something that he had requested be made a long time ago. And for that, he needed to go to New Hallandren.

-----------------------------------------------

Phemus, Smokestack, the constabulary

Phemus sat in his office, drinking his morning cup o joe. It was a calm morning, with people being nice and sensible for once. He had managed to go a whole ninety minutes without someone needing his help with something, letting him relax. It was nice to do nothing, every once in a while. He wished he could do it more.

However, today wasn't a do nothing day. He had an appointment to make.

"Hey Jenny, can you get in touch with that radiant fella that pestered me yesterday? I need to have a chat with him." His assistant stopped in front of him with a confused expression. "Did he leave any way to contact him? A card...or an address?" Phemus waved dismissively at the woman. "Bah, he's a radiant. You'll know him when you see him. Just send out one of our delivery boys to hunt for him. They're smart folk. I'm sure they can handle it."

With a sigh, Jenny did as she was told. Until then, I guess I'll read the news. The news was the same as it had been for the past few weeks. Some guy causes some scene, and somebody complains, blaming the police. Heck, it's almost as if people thought the department had actually committed the crime! However, one of the stories caught his eye. A building in the Mistwarrens, burned. Usually, this sort of thing would have been nothing special. Crime's always happening there, in one way or another. No, the crime itself wasn't the interesting part. "Asylum Smedry," Phemus said aloud. That rascal has been a headache for the Smokestack Constabulary to deal with since forever, and the complaints about him had felt unending. Suddenly, an unusual stroke of genius struck him. Maybe he could kill two birds with one stone....
