Voidus Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 If Nighthound, Quota, and Reader ever formed an alliance, everyone else in the Fractured States would destroy Oregon just to smite the abomination from the face of the earth. And then Nighthound died. 3
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 And then Nighthound died. As Reader drowned in his own wine. 2

Voidus Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I'm considering adding another Epic into the Dalles as part of Vondra's team if that's alright?Scribbler: Can manipulate ink and actualize any words she has written. 3

Scribbler: Can manipulate ink and actualize any words she has written. I'd be fine with it. But how much can she actualize? I guess what I'm getting at is, what happens if she writes "And then Nighthound died" on a sheet of paper? 1

I guess what I'm getting at is, what happens if she writes "And then Nighthound died" on a sheet of paper? It only has effect when in direct contact with the writting, so she could write 'Dagger' and then move the writting over Nighthounds heart and actualize it to stab him, but she couldn't just write something in the Dalles and kill Nighthound The bigger the writting the stronger the effect, so while she could write 'Elephant' and make one, it'd only be the same size as the word she wrote, so making bigger things takes ages.

So small objects, mostly?
Voidus Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 So small objects, mostly? Yeah, she has a bunch of tattoos on her for combat purposes but they're pretty small too. I'll probably put an upper limit on how many things she can actualize at once too, like 5 or so I'm thinking.

I mean, nice to know how it works. She sounds neat! Does she have a bio and/or general description? 1
Voidus Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Scribbler Real name: Lucy LockserAppearance: Young for an Epic at 15 Lucy is short even for her age, she has brown hair which she keeps in a ponytail and is constantly chewing gum. Her body has been covered with tattoos since she became an Epic, though she has kept her face clear the rest of her body is crawling with tiny words that she can actualize in an emergency. Her wardrobe consists of precisely two t-shirts and a pair of jeans, she dislikes wearing anything resembling an Epic costume.History: Lucy received her powers after the defeat of Koschei and as such was somewhat ashamed of herself initially for being an Epic but after seeing that she could prove helpful to Vondra and his new community she regained her former bright personality, she is disdainful of most other Epics and prefers to interact with Vanillas.Powers: Primary ability- Ink manipulation, Lucy has full telekinetic control over ink in all its forms, her control is fine enough to maintain the shape of any words she has written as she moves them about.Secondary ability: Written actualization- Lucy can actualize anything that she has written, although the effect will be limited to the area covered by the word. 3
mail-mi he/him Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I'm going on vacation for fall break, so you might not be hearing from my characters for a while. Sorry!
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 I'm going on vacation for fall break, so you might not be hearing from my characters for a while. Sorry! Have fun! Are we still doing the time skip in the Portland thread? If so, it wouldn't be difficult for me to set that up in my next post. Does anyone else have any business to finalize before the skip?
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 When exactly are we skipping to? And we still need to Finish up the Reckoners scene, but I can do that either tonight or tomorrow. Depending on how long my remaining homework takes.

Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Actually, I just looked at it. I can have it finished in half an hour or so.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 And finish up the MEE scene w/ Mommy, though I suppose that can be done in a flashback-ish way. The time skip can wait; there's no rush at all.

Kobold King he/him Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) Just to the Empire/Thoughttown meeting. Just the bakery scene on my end. And I was going to try to slip in a Sam flashback before in-game evening. EDIT: Have fun, mail-me! Edited October 16, 2014 by Kobold King
Tulir he/him Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 The bus doesn't explode. Once the fuel runs out, it will shrink back down into a rock, and trust me you do not want to be inside the bus when that happens. Eh, explosion, being shrunk down into a tiny rock, what's the difference? 1

EDIT: Have fun, mail-me! Sweet. I can't wait to see her flashbacks. Remington's next flashback will have to wait until I'm done writing it. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Sweet. I can't wait to see her flashbacks. Remington's next flashback will have to wait until I'm done writing it. I had Sam's partially done, but even what I had is undergoing re-writes. But I should be ready to post the first one by the time Sam and Revolution squeeze away from Voidgaze. After the first one, there will be one or two more laying extra groundwork, and finally the last and most Traumatic™ of the bunch, to be revealed when she meets Quota. 1
Tulir he/him Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 When are we going to see the first Vondra post?
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) I just realized, I have no Idea what Streetwise and Murphy's weaknesses are. Any ideas? Edited October 16, 2014 by The Only Joe

After the first one, there will be one or two more laying extra groundwork, and finally the last and most Traumatic™ of the bunch, to be revealed when she meets Quota. Remington's will grow steadily more Emotionally Scarring as he gets closer to meeting Quota. Speaking of, would it be okay if sometime in the near future I sent you a flashback and asked you to fill in Vondra's dialogue? I'm not sure when it'll be... Quota got me thinking, though: What would Backtrack see if he met Quota?
