You keep walking and see a raging river. It is too wide to jump or walk across.

You start gathering the attention of shades.

Bob slows down, hoping that they don’t notice the speed at which his heart was beating. He keeps making his way, really hoping that another tribute doesn’t make it there before him.

ayck smiles despite himself. "alright, im glad we didnt die immediately." and he enters carefully.

As you enter the shelter, a small, snarling growl is hear from a corner of the shelter.

Lilac's grin widens. "Great! Do you want to look for food? In case it gets dangerous outside and we need to stay here for an extended period of time, because other groups can't come in." She blinks. "Well, also just because we need food."

Lilac looks at the corner of the shelter...

The light from your lantern isn't strong enough to show the specific features of the creature, but it looks squirrel-sized. The creature is growling like a dog might.

One of them smacks her in the face, hard, but then they collide.

She collapses to the ground, air whoofing out. She groans as starts flash before her eyes. She stares up at the faceless creature, daring it to try to hit her again.

Ephriam makes it to the water's edge. "Shades, too wide and too deep to swim. Perhaps I can use those vines and swing across?..."

It hits her again, slamming into her shoulder.

Bob reaches where the shelter is marked on the map.

Lilac immediately lowers her voice. "Ayck, I think we should go. And preferably find something this creature might want. Food? Water?" She starts slowly and unthreateningly moving towards the door.

Avalon grabs a bow and arrow and a supply pack that’s left in the cornucopia, and runs in the forest to seek shelter

Which shoulder?

She groans and slams her other fist into the faceless. Desperately she tries to roll under its legs towards the cornucopia.

That's not allowed. You'd have to run. But that means you'd be dead. Plus, we need some chance to attack you before.

Which part wasn’t allowed? Because I was pretty much right next to the shelter.

Not yet. The shelter is farther than you think. You only see trees in all directions.

A faceless creature grabs onto the bow and begins to pull it away from you.

Does the creature look hungry/thirsty/injured/upset in any way?

Lilac steps outside, before turning to Ayck. "Thank you, by the way. For listening to me." She tilts her head to the side. "Not many people do."

Callie's voice:

"Well, well, well! It seems as if our first Team has found and claimed the first shelter! I suppose I must disclose where the other shelters are, then. Alright, all tributes, listen up! The first alliance team to touch the remaining shelters will claim that shelter. The first shelter goes to: Lilac, Ayck, Levi, & Shifty. No one else may enter. We'll make sure of that."

She cackled.

"Now, go forth, and kill! Fight for the last shelters, as you have limited time. And we'd hate for you to use the communal shelter, now, wouldn't we...?"

A holographic map pops up in front of each tribute:

Alder is woken up by the blaring and starts walking along the river looking for a place to cross. "Guess I'll need shelter"

The faceless retreats a little. This gives you the chance of rolling towards the cornucopia. The faceless is surprised and tries to get up after you.

Not specifically, but you can't tell that much about it because of the darkness.
