In his youth, he wanted to be a warrior and hunter of much fame, so he went out hunting for a dragon. He took his Vorpal Sword in hand, left the dragon dead, and went galumphing back with its head. This orb originally did nothing, but eventually started to show him memories of the past. Urc gained greater control over the time orb over the years, and still has it with him.

It has to do with the guard and the keys on his belt.
