TAAron took a deep breath, trying to steady himself and ignore the painful hollowness that the connection left behind. "Let's go, then." He took her hand.

As they walked, TAAron felt a mix of lingering pain from the cut and guilt that he couldn't be trusted enough to keep Haly safe despite all of his abilities.

Haly did indeed become rather absent, watching the shops they went past. At one point she broke off in the direction of a bookstore.

The doctor was a man in his late twenties. His room was pretty much a standard doctor room. “What can I do for you?”
