But the darkness was long gone, and the scorched floor was its tombstone. The Light longed to leave. To escape. To be free, free to avenge the Darkness and ALL THAT HAD WRONGED IT

She succeeded. Oddly, he seemed completely undamaged by the flames, even though he had definitely been burning. Some flowers began growing around him again through the ashes, though more slowly than before.
