I'm really confused, he thought to himself.

It's like this planet keeps kicking me out at random intervals while reality itself shifts, but then won't let me leave afterwards. It should make up it's mind; does it want me gone, or does it want me to stay?

He didn't say anything, but listened to see if Roy would tell the prophecy. Prophecies were interesting. Usually. Not that he had much experience with them; only a few Lightwielders had future-sight of any kind, and it almost never manifested itself as visions.

"So...what, exactly, does this world need saving from?"

Basically I made the thing intentionally vague to prevent anyone from feeling like I am forcing them to go a certain way. Now it’s almost impossible to not complet it while not feeling like it is overarching and forcing people to do things that they don’t normally do

"It’s beautiful, and sharp, and dangerous," she'd responded. "Most of it will try to kill you any chance it gets; there are vengeful gods, hungry beasts, and people who don’t need reasons to be cruel. But it’s also beautiful, because for every city where children are left to fend for themselves, there’s a village that holds to each other as tightly as they can. It’s like a lot of other words, in this…” 

Calev pulled out of the memory.

Maybe she's just being a good person. Reflecting the light of this world in her actions. He smiled slightly.

"Thank you."
