This is the multiverse of madness plot in a nutshell

Right okay if we want to just move along with things then imma put this out there:

  • In an RP where Anything Goes, then Anything Goes
  • In terms of the Multiverse, that means there is no Canon by which it exists
  • ...I'm going to tentatively use the basic Macrosmos principles here, which are effectively "Don't Godmod my Worldbuilding" followed by a bunch of philosophical crap that I'm going to ignore. Basically, your character's Universe/Worldbuilding/Etc. is not "more meta" than someone else's (unless they specifically allow that); trying to shoehorn someone else's ideas and whatnot into your own "better" ideas is exactly the same as just straight-up killing their characters or something like that.
  • Previously on The Macrosmos, I attached a bunch of rules to how it works. That was dumb, all things considered. The original idea of the whole thing was just "Your Worlds can coexist and contradict each other so we can have an easy excuse to throw OCs into an adventure together, so as long as you don't try to directly ruin someone else's Worldbuilding / Universe Idea / etc."
  • That said, the Macrosmos is effectively the Multiverse Multiverse. You can go ahead and not call it that because that's just what I've titled it for the sake of simplicity, but I - once again - want to avoid the issue of "my" multiverse being meta to yours. You can also go ahead and design your own super-duper multiverse ideas like a champ, and by all means have your characters believe that their own Multiverse is the "Ultimate Meta" - but if you try to functionally appropriate other peoples' ideas, then that's no bueno.
  • I have a number of RP characters who travel the Macrosmos, but I've kept them confined to certain canons and storylines and such. Zodiac here is probably one of them (I don't actually know yet, hehe), but to prevent another The Argument I'm not going to have him be all "I know the True Nature of The Macrosmos" or anything like that because that'd be in conflict with the guidelines I just proposed.

I know, but the lightlings are pretty definite and static with their views. It doesn't matter whether they'll be right or wrong.

“Yes.”

In a flash of light, they were standing in some massive forest, with the morning sun rising in from the east. A floating object was visible in the sky.

"We must journey from here. Direct teleportation into the city is not allowed."

Sounds good to me.

The shovel man coughed up some blood. "Say, are the Lightlings good with healing?"

Weaver and Clay nodded in sync. “Understandable. Come on, everyone!”

I’m trying to understand this.

Basically we all have our own history and don’t mess with anyone else’s?

Pretty much, though that kind of implies that all our characters come from the same place; they don't. If you were to play a Mistborn and we followed the idea of "one multiverse," then my Iconar Collective OCs would have to technically be canon to the Cosmere - which they aren't. Every story takes the idea of "reality" and "the multiverse" and whatnot in its own direction, and the way to accommodate all of them is just to say "They all work, just separately."

It matters not litebunn. This is why we don’t get along he communicated. But we will allow it. We must stop Her though. She will destroy much. Tell me litbunn where is She. You should know if my expirience has proven correct.
