The shovel man groaned, sitting up painfully. "Is everyone still alive?"

“Nope!!” Xiylna said cheerfully. “And thank goodness for that.”

“Yep. Everyone mortal is still mortal. And Xiylna is still a Wraith.” Weaver said. “Anyone else really want to get out of here before the sun sets again?”

The shovel man nodded. "I'd prefer not to meet him again. Not while I'm awake at least."

“We have a few options.” Weaver said. “First, we can go to the Dream Realm, though I think we’ll save that for later because you’re all probably done with that stuff. Second, we can stay here and I can tell you who we’re fighting. Lastly, we can go talk to my brother. He… he’ll do better at helping all of you than I. I’m better with apocalypses than heroes.”

I have dealt with heroes many a time. I can be of some assistance.

“I favor night, but I shall accompany thyself, and assist ye with mine own support. I am impressed with thee, Weaver, Thou hast shown thyself capable. I shall gift thee a gift. Take it will much respect.”

The dragon made a scale sword grow form his hand. It flowed with fire. He broke off the tip, that immediately stopped glowing, it grew black. It was the size of a dagger. He handed it to Weaver.

”Here my hero. Use this wisely, for it havest much power.”

"I won't need your help dealing with him. I'll never have to deal with him as long as we leave here before nightfall."

“Wonderful.”

The shadows bent, bathing the group in darkness. Then they melted away, revealing a new landscape.

“We’ll make sure you never have to again. Or at least try.”

“Thank you, great dragon.” Weaver said respectfully.

The shovel man frowned. "That shouldn't be hard. As I said, all we have to do is leave here before it becomes night again. I mean, he's just a nightmare."

“True. And we’ve left, so you’re safe now.”

“Unfortunately, we’ve reached the location called Haven.” Weaver said. “Which is, double unfortunately, where my brother dwells.”
