I could make you a champion if you really wish, just to troll. Is that your wish?

(No, this won't actually affect your alignment or the ending of the game, just the final writeup.)

I know.  Devotion is fine, but we must heal Winter!

Odium is not something to be "healed" from. Embrace the Hate!

Back at the Alley, Queen Elsa's patience was wearing thin.

"Fatebreaker, I want to see Winter. She's my friend and I need to see her. Don't make me make it a royal order."

Voidus appeared once again, Realmatic realignment finished for now.

"You may see her now Elsa, the danger's been minimised as much as we can but we'll need further study to determine the exact nature of what happened. Unfortunately as part of our safety precautions the Alleys have been dimensionally separated so leaving will be impossible for now without some adjustments. Just contact one of our Acolytes if you need to leave or allow someone to enter. I'll be in my Alley testing some solutions."

Voidus assigned some acolytes to show Elsa in to see Winter then left to go to his personal Alley, the Stranger seemed to have immediate matters in hand for now, Voidus was more interested in retracing the Investiture signals to discover what exactly had happened.

"Thank you Voidus."

Elsa followed the acolytes into the Alleyway to see Winter.

As they were walking, she moved her hands and created a ice bouquet of flowers. She still carried her shard blade in her other hand, just in case.

In a all silver room, she found Winter picking herself up on the floor.

"Winter!" The Queen said, rushing towards her friend, "You're finally awake! How are you?"

You try finding the bind points and blood of a non-corporeal entity that can turn you into a pile of ash :P

"It... Too much." Winter gasped out. "Too much."

Elsa helped Winter up and carried her to the nearby bed at the other side of the room.

"Are you alright? I brought these for you." She handed Winter the flowers.

The Stranger sighed. Sponsors. You put their endorsement on your product and they act like they own it. He walked into the room and clapped loudly, making the girls wince.

"Alright, visiting time's over. Acolytes."

The two acolytes subtly soothed Elsa to make her more compliant, then ushered her from the room.

The Stranger  sealed the door and turned to the workbench at the side of the room. He pulled a lever and it slid into the wall, then reemerged laden with miscellaneous devices and tools. He pulled a mechanical gauntlet on his left hand then turned to the subject with a grin.

"Are you ready for some Science?"

Xanas signaled two acolytes, who began scanning Winter in a variety of spectrums: electromagnetic, investiture, and cognitive. He then pushed two knobs on the wall. The room was then plated in metal imbedded with Aons and Invested gems, and covered with Awakened cloths. He nodded to Fatebreaker. "The Shards should be blind now."

Much to Elsa's disagreement, She obediently went from the room, waving a quick goodbye to Winter. The next moment she sort of lost track of her surroundings.

"Where am I again? Oh right. The Dark Alley. What in Newcago Icicles just happened? I have an enormous headache..."

Elsa knew the only thing she could do was go back to Newcago. She turned with her group of guard after thanking Voidus.

Although she was heading back to Newcago, she meant to secretly still communicate with Winter somehow with her powers to send messages.

Voidus sat in his lab, a quick realmatic realignment had allowed Elsa and her court to return to Newcago and now he poured over the data that had been picked up through the nights activities.

"Interesting. Very interesting." He mused to himself, one hand rifling through papers being brough in by acolytes, other hand alternating between a bag of cookies and his mouth.

The data would prove invaluable to the Dark Alleys, he trusted that the Strangers work with Winter would provide even more, this could lead to a hemalurgic revolution and jump their research forwards by years, and yet there were still so many unanswered questions.

But then that was why Voidus had decided to stay in that Dark Alley so many years ago, he had devoted himself to answering that which others wouldn't or couldn't, the alleys didn't judge, didn't punish, didn't scream...

Well most of the Alleys didn't scream anyway, there was that horrible experiment in alley 29 a few months back when they'd been researching cognitive resonance in non-organic materials and the walls had wailed for weeks. Well it all worked out in the end anyway.

He did hope that they went easy on Winter though, poor wolf had it tough enough tonight with the amount of Shardic Investiture being thrown around the place. They were quite lucky she was still in one piece, even with gold compounding dealing with that much raw investiture could alter the body in unpleasant ways.

Now, perhaps if he cross-referenced the Bronze-pulses with...

Meanwhile, Queen Elsa had returned to Newcago.

She walked into the throne room and threw off her armour in frustration. That was no way for a queen to behave, but she was very frustrated.

"I was so close to rescuing her! What are they even doing to her?" She paced the throne room in frustration while Delightful just rolled her eyes and dug into some chocolates.

Snowflakes began to form around the queen as she got more frustrated. She sat down on her throne and began to create a letter, completely made from snow and ice that she would somehow transport to Winter.

Soon after finishing, she formed the letter into three separate snowflakes and blew them out the castle window. Their destination was the Dark Alley.
