Sand begins to vibrate violently in a spot about 50 yards away from the group. After about 15 seconds, a pillar of smooth stone rises from the ground, stopping once it was about 15 feet up. A crouched figure stands up, holding a bow. He reaches his hand into his quiver and grabs an arrow. Something was unusual about the arrow, its tip dripping with a shadowy purple substance that turned to gas after a second of falling. He notched his arrow and aimed it at the group.

---

Eldyn is not too worried about the unusual situation. He peers into the Realm of Shadows to see if there is any information he can gather...and can't see anything. He tries again and his brain starts to worry for him. It's almost as if his powers aren't functioning...

Becky stepped protectively in front of the others, unaware of this new development.

Keys frowned, not expecting a surprise attack. Which was... to be expected, he supposed. That's funny. Wonder if he can make a joke out of that. Probably later though, and he instead draws his handy-dandy space blaster. A small handgun in case of the rare emergency, though Keys has begun wondering the definition of "rare."

Surveying the surroundings, he speaks up. "Anyone know what this is? Any beef they'd like to reveal?" He starts aiming the weapon at the archer, but doesn't fire yet.

Caedmon tried to step out from behind Becky.

All right. I can't sustain this currently, due to time zone issues and failing to check on the Shard with any regularity. Due to all that. Gal somehow failed to be teleported. I'm not going to be available for the next day or so, so I'm not going to come up with an explanation - the best I can think of right now is that he's anchored to another realm in a way that Eldyn isn't, IDK.

Gal stumbled back. It seemed like everyone just... Disappeared. And he was alone in this random house. Which felt way too similar to the in-between place he was in prior.

He looked widely around him, but there only seemed to be shadows. And the map that caught his attention before wasn't there anymore, or so it appeared.

He frowned. In theory, he knew a thing or two about realmatic travel, but...

He started on his way outside, to see what he could gouge from the sun, or stars, or whatever was hanging in the sky outside currently.

Becky shook her head. “Nope. Aw, ashes, unless Wyatt’s still mad at me for stealing his score.”

She stopped him. “I don’t die,” she told him. “I’ll be fine.”

Gal got outside and noted to himself that indeed, there seemed to only be this house he was in and sone sort of junkyard across from it. Besides it, the world seemed to just... End. It unnerved him a little. He looked at the sky.

He barely stopped himself from mumbling a swear. There were two suns in the sky. No visible moon. There were also some visible stars, which should have been impossible. They didn't seem to be organized in any particular manner he was aware of - he could find none of the constellations he was taught of. He flipped the pages of his notebook, trying to figure out this mess, distractedly wandering around.
