Questions for the completers: which arc was your favorite?

  Hide contents

Mine was the Raid on Aldhani. I always love me a good heist, and that was probably the best heist ever written.

Spoiler

I think mine was also Aldhani. Aw man, the Eye...that was so cool.

I liked that one guy. The one who died. The smart one who talked a lot about society and how to resist the oppression of the empire. The one who had the navigational device and gave Cassian the little book thing that I forgot what it was called.

I don't remember his name.

But he was my favorite.

Definitely the prison arc.  I liked how it bucked the three-episode structure that I had started to get used to, and I think it did a really good job of giving the emotions that Cassian was experiencing, particularly episode eight.

The third volume of the soundtrack is supposed to come out tomorrow!  I'm excited to see what will be on there.

I liked the prison arc and the aldhani arc. Like, both of those were amazing. Nemmik was definitely one of my favorite characters in Star Wars.

that part in ep 12 with the manifesto was...

perfection.

Definitely the prison Arc. Episode 9 and 10 especially. So so good. The previous arc (Episodes 4-6) was good too, but it wasn't quite as satisfying.

Nemik!

Spoiler

He was the best. So sad that he died. Basically everyone from the Aldhani heist died. Gorn, Skeen, Nemik, Taramyn. Just Cinta, Vel, and Cassian survived.

That's heartbreaking. At least we get Loki Season 2 next year though.

Bittersweet but not surprising. I'd rather wait than rush it. Besides, 2023 is going to be PACKED in terms of entertainment anyways; and this will give us all more to look forward to in 2024!

Anyways, Andor is a mostly great with one major but understandable flaw to me. Andor is easily the most cinematic thing in Start Wars since TLJ (standouts being "The Eye" and "One Way Out,") and one of the unquestionably good choices by Lucasfilm since JFO. Andor reminds me a lot of Game of Thrones in its prime (I haven't watched HotD), where sometimes the most interesting scene in an episode would be two characters simply talking. The ability to have that be such a tense and engaging scene is a rare and powerful thing.

But Andor misses one of the key aspects of Star Wars IMO - hope. Star Wars always has hope, and Andor doesn't really. Andor isn't about hope, it's about revenge, justice, and retribution. It's about making things right, not making them good, if that makes sense. And yes, I get that Andor (both the character and the show) need to get to a place where they have hope, as this is the first step on the journey, but that understanding doesn't make it better.

Anyways, Andor's one of my top shows of the year and I can't wait to see what my dad thinks about it.

I personally think it's a nice change of pace. I've kind of seen the Rebellion's reliance on hope and chance to be just a little bit unrealistic, especially since it almost always works out. Andor felt grittier, more realistic, and just generally an awesome look into the life of an average Star Wars citizen/fugitive.

I completely agree here, though I could see Andor as the setup to finding hope, which I think would work for me. I just feel like we need Cassian to actually start caring about something, and right now it feels like he doesn't if that makes sense.

I finally finished...

y'all! Anything related to Rogue One is just... good, I guess.

That was intense. Also

Spoiler

...Maarva...

Bee's "I don't want to be alone. I want M-M-Maarva" was so sad... never knew a droid could make me so sad. I teared up when Brasso was telling Cassian Maarva's words to him.

Also the fact that Cassian calls him Bee is adorable. Like, it's just the first letter of his name, but the subtitles spell it like Bee, which is just so cute.

Also, K-2SO BETTER be in the next season. He is the BEST droid in the Star Wars universe and he only got ONE STORMING MOVIE and that abomination C-3PO* was in NINE!! Life is unfair, and K-2SO deserves more screen time. Also this show could probably use a little lightheartedness, and K-2 would bring that.

Also what was up

Spoiler

with that one K-2 droid that was like "HANG?"

Sorry, Empire, but you need to program your droids better. That's one bloodthirsty droid.

*Sorry. I don't like C-3PO. You can. I just really don't. He's annoying.

What happened was 3PO overstayed his welcome with R2-D2. They were in the OGs and should've stayed there.

Y'all.

Spoilers for episode 8 of season 2....

I WAS NOT READY FOR SYRIL TO DIE

I cried. I admit it. I mean... I would have been okay if he went out saving a civilian or something. But he was trying to kill Cassian...
Like, I mean, I get why, but emotionally it's a gut punch. Also did NOT expect Dedra being sad to hit me in the feels... like, I hate her? Why is this happening?
