The Clinic: Roof

"It is too late, I am here, you must korrupt him. You have your orders."

Insa bit her lip. Fine. Fine.

She stepped forward and put her hand on Bookwyrm's arm. "I can't stop it. I'm sorry." She started pushing Kaos into him.

Rue eyed the staff, turning it over. “Could it be a fake?”

You can make one if you want.

Nameless frowned. "Could be."

The staff seemed to be made of wood, appearing as nothing more than an ordinary walking stick.

The tiger growled, symbols blazing to an even greater height. The tiger's claws lengthened as it struck at Lark, nearly scratching his skin,

Lark cursed, falling back a few steps and taking a defensive stance. "You think you can attack this clinic and get away with it? Kaos will not win here. I won't allow it."

Rue shrugged and started to step away from the pedestal. Immediately,  she found herself wrapped in weaves she couldn't see. "Nevermind," she said. "It's probably real."

The sickles spun in quick succession, creating a spinning circle of black metal. The figure advanced further and she became clearer, her voice echoing around the roof.

"You poor, poor fools. You will not have to pay for attacking your Queen, for I am not yet, but I shall be. I am the true champion of the Kaos. Emma was a useful tool, but she outlived her usefullness."

The tiger growled, symbols blazing to an even greater height. The tiger's claws lengthened as it struck at Lark, nearly scratching his skin,

"It is too late, I am here, you must korrupt him. You have your orders."

The dragon leaped back, arching its neck to exhale a deadly black cloud of Kaos towards Matra and X.

X raised his hand, deflecting the Kaos to the side.

"Now," he said- or tried to say. Right, he couldn't speak while in this state.

The chase continued and the tiger's tactics continued to evolve, soon they began attempting to grap her limbs to prevent her from drawing the Aons.

Telrao hissed and struggled against their tugs against her limbs, her soft fur now in matted clumps. She managed to escape towards the edge of the roof, backing up against the edge. She jumped up onto the edge and smiled as the tigers came closer, acid leaking from their wounded limbs. She waited, just for a moment... then jumped off the side of the clinic.

Vic, Grel and Ryn stood just behind Matra and X, weapons aimed at the massive Kaos dragon. "Fire!" Grel shouted, and the three began blasting the thing with their massive guns.

----

Hav sprinted to Lyna, skidding to a stop mere metres away. So close. He thought to himself. But there was one thing stopping him. The black smoke. The battle seemed to fade, the shouts the screeching of the Kaos tigers, until it was just him, Lyna... and the smoke. Lyna's helmet lay discarded beside her, and she was curled into a tight ball, rocking back and forth, whispering: "I failed, I failed, I failed..." Hav could almost hear voices within the smoke. This is your fault, it whispered, you serve no purpose but to FAIL. Hav grimaced and sealed his aluminium-lined helmet. It dampened the voices, but he still got faint impressions. He stepped up behind Lyna and picked her up, slinging her over his shoulders in a medical carry. He awkwardly picked up her helmet and began to walk away from the smoke, which trailed behind, whispering.

The Clinic: Roof

A loud boom startles most on the roof. As those who glanced up see a silver hole in space open and Platypus fall out. It closes, and Platypus lands, rolls, and comes up with his Blade ready in a combat position. Glancing around, he yells, "I need to talk to Thaidakar and Lark! Where are they?"

As he prepares to defend himself, he summons a second Blade. This one is mottled, red and black, as opposed to his other sword (dark blue speckled irregularly with white and yellow vaguely dot-shaped, short protuberances). It seems to repel the other swords and beings near it. Crying out, he charges into the fray, attacking a group of three or so K-tigers that seemed to be patrolling.

Right now I'm thinking that the red & black sword would slightly repel the K-tigers, slowing their attacks and making it harder for them to dodge. It really would just slow them down. Is that possible/reasonable?

Thaidakar looked up, "I'm here!" He ran towards Platypus, blasting one of the K-tigers away from Platypus. The K-tiger he hit starts to melt from the blood red fire.

Still blazing with the strange power, Matra jumped behind X as he deflected the smoke. With the transformation had come an onslaught of memories and training from a past life - training including swordplay.

Using X’s shield for cover, she darted forward and slashed repeatedly at the legs of the dragon. ‘Come on,’ she grunted. ‘This has to work.’

Calano sat, breathing heavily, before taking a deep breath.

"Let me.. let me rest for a moment." He said.

His mind felt... lighter, but he was so tired. He knew he would do the next part of the Path, but for now, he needed a break. Otherwise he would collapse.

After a bit, he looked at Wizard, "It went well. I am very tired because of it, and very, very broken," He said, and paused, "But my Soul is pure now. I am ready for the next part of the Path."

"Bind points? I don't know what the rusts you just said. But if Wizard said it in his right state, it must be very important indeed." Thaidakar blasted another K-tiger.

"I think that they're what is holding Kaos contained. They need to be corrupted to free it. So we can't let that happen. I need to tell Lark. Where's Lark?!" Platypus slashes at one and it is forced to back up. "Behind you!"

Nameless joined her, stuffing books into his bags as quickly as he could. As he surveyed the bookshelves, a particular cover caught his eye. He grabbed it off the shelf, pulling out one of the other books to make room. "Alright. Ready to go?"

X watched as Matra slashed at the dragon, raising shields as needed to block the dragon's counterattacks. It was soothing, almost mesmerizing- the black and gold and purple...
