Stick the Worldhopper

Alright. So we're all aware of the critical discussion between Stick and Shallan in The Words of Radiance:

Quote

“Please,” Shallan said to the sphere. “I need you to become fire.”
Pattern buzzed, speaking with a new voice, interpreting the sphere’s words. “I am a stick,” he said. He sounded satisfied.
“You could be fire,” Shallan said.
“I am a stick.”
The stick was not particularly eloquent. She supposed that she shouldn’t be surprised.
“Why don’t you become fire instead?”
“I am a stick.”
“How do I make it change?” Shallan asked of Pattern.
“Mm… I do not know. You must persuade it.” Offer it truths, I think?” He sounded agitated. “This place is dangerous for you. For us. Please. Speed.”
She looked back at the stick.
“You want to burn.”
“I am a stick.”
“Think how much fun it would be?”
“I am a stick.”
“Stormlight,” Shallan said. “You could have it! All that I’m holding.”
A pause. Finally, “I am a stick.”
“Sticks need Stormlight. For… things…” Shallan blinked away tears of fatigue.
“I am—”
“—a stick,” Shallan said. She gripped the sphere, feeling both it and the stick in the physical realm, trying to think through another argument.”

But

Did we ever stop to think that maybe Stick would be featured in other Cosmere novels? No? Yes! 

Warbreaker:

Quote

She (Vivenna) picked up a Stick, then Awakened the rope. It worked this time, the Stick losing its color, though it took a lot more breath. Perhaps this was because the Stick wasn’t very colorful.*

Notice something common? Every character wants to use Stick as a way to practise a magic system tehe. While Stick refused to be used for Shallan's intended purposes, it did give in to Vivenna. Raoden thought of using Stick, but Stick escaped in time. I don't even know how that fits in to all of this lol.

Stick is a Worldhopper --> Theory confirmed  

Note that this is no more than a joke not to be taken seriously

Edit: this would've looked a lot cooler of my reputation level was Worldhoppper. Alas, that's a loong way to go. XD

Vivienna just drained color, it stayed as a stick.

Also, did you capitalize "Stick" in the quotes or is it actually like that in the other books?

I honestly think this theory has a lot of merit. No wonder stick didn't want to become fire. He was on an important mission.

Maybe the Stick isn't actually a stick?  Plot Twist: It's a worldhopper disguising itself as a stick, which is why it so emphatically repeated "I Am A Stick"… it needed to maintain it's cover.

Okay, you have Sel, Nalthis and Roshar Stick sightings.  But what about Scadrial?  Do we know of any event where Vin, Kelsier, Elend, Wax, Wayne or Marasi used Stick to help learn about any of the metallic arts?  And Taldain?  In either Prose version or Graphic novel version of White Sand?

 

I'd love to see this be an actual thing of Brandon's, a little inside joke type easter-egg.

Maybe Stick served as a Kandra's Blessing for some time? IDK, it might be waaay too Invested for even Adonalsium to handle, let alone a Kandra.

Well...They do speak different languages on different Shardworlds...It could just be a typo introduced during editing; they probably thought twig sounded better and thought it was a small enough change that they didn't need to ask first.
