  1. "Milord, I would like to inform you of something before you go on a quest with the Scholar." The Mistress interjected, hoping she wasn't too late. "The Scholar is an enemy of Chaos, banned from his dominion. And he is my nemesis. His requests must be considered carefully."
  2. We're talking about the old movie right? Where Alicia Witt plays the Abomination Alia?
  3. Now you pose a challenge. I guess when you said Spoon, that was the story that came to mind. It's like if you said Frying Pan, I would've gone with Wee Free Men.
  4. Ah, Paolini. Eragon when giving his oath to the Varden. Welcome back, Your Majesty.
  5. The movie was awful. I hated it. It seems Chaos has yet to white this out.
  6. Believe me, Princess, that I am not interested in tainting the likes of her. I am more, shall we say, amused, at how power is really wielded in Newcago. And maybe you are right to stay where you are, and not make a bid for power. It really is the wiser thing to do in the circumstances, so I applaud your position, Queen's Whisperer. I am convinced that you are the power behind the throne, a veritable Rasputin, if you will, and a savior of the monarchy that you truly control. Not the Child, no, despite her indomitable sunshine. I have not the desire to taint these empty halls with chaos. There is nothing more to achieve here.
  7. And that's probably the reason why Jerric forgot the title - if this is the book.
  8. Newan, I don't have to convince you of someone else's guilt at all. I just feel that you are wasting your dragon fang on me when you could use it for those who have had more evidence piled against them, like Dellan. Unless you're a DF yourself and are just hellbent on fanging regular villagers like me. On my defense of Khamsi, at the time I defended her, I didn't suspect her at all. It's as simple as that.
  9. I think you mean The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente.
  10. Hahahahahaha! It is so hilarious that it is you, Scholar, who had to say the words... "Mesa propose....." Honestly, though, I have always thought that Delightful is more queenly than Elsa. The Child is more fitting as a spoiled ice princess. Great to look at. But truly tiresome. But that's just me, speaking as someone who admires the darker forces more. -- And before anyone gets riled up, this is RP. EDIT: blue
  11. Well, I have certainly been inactive, but following. It takes a little bit too much thought to post RP and participate but I've been reading the discussions and basing my decisions from that. Fanging me is pure idiocy, Newan. Inactivity is not a sure sign of darkfriendedness, and you'll be wasting that fang on someone who's confirmed herself a villager to the other players. Or have you not learned from our mistakes in the past day cycles?
  12. It is always nice to see where free RP goes. In this, I echo Delightful's enjoyment in writing scary RP. Interesting. Another day then. She doesn't have the time or the inclination to chase after the Scholar today. She had too much to check on, a full staff to run, multiple kitchens to supervise, slaves to punish. There are other worlds than these. Upvotes for the reference. The Mistress stood up and opened a gateway and stepped back to Chaos' lair, the gateway winking out behind her. That was fun, she thought.
  13. The Mistress continued to sit in the Shadows, huskily laughing at the Scholar's attempt to mask his surprise. She had no issues with sound on the other side of the dark veil. He couldn't see her, couldn't hear her, and she was there to observe what he did when he thought he had the upper hand. Spice. If her calculations were correct, one of her kitchen maids would have exchanged that packet with a substance that looked like spice, tasted like spice, but is far from the potency of real melange. It would give a kick, but less of the heightened awareness. She knew the Scholar had a spice addiction, apparent in the bright blue of his irises. And so with the help of her trusted crew, she crafted a powder similar to his favorite drug, with added Wafflerasium. It was the same concoction she infused the battle waffles with. She didn't want a confused Scholar. She wanted control. She wanted him to hear her voice speak a word, and be hers. He has been taking the false spice for a few days now, and he is almost primed. A slave Scholar would be useful indeed.
  14. The Mistress observed quietly in one corner of the room, sitting on a small black stool, sipping tea. She smiled at how quickly the Scholar's wounds healed. This was why they loved hurting each other. They were both very difficult to kill. She enjoyed drawing first blood. It felt right, stabbing him in the same place healed by the Torturer Princess. She wanted to stop there, but his throat beckoned, and her knife just had to taste the Scholar's blood. Overkill, she thought, looking at how blatantly he showed his powers. This Scholar doesn't know moderation, and she learned from her mistakes the first time. True, she can heal, but it can hurt like hell. And the remembrance of pain is something that lingers. The duplicate doll was riddled with bullets and fried by Force lightning. The Scholar forgot that as far as dark powers are concerned, she has ventured beyond what is considered evil. She sipped the tea, hidden calmly in a shield of shadows, and contemplated the puzzle the Scholar presented. There was no fun in retaliation when it was all just going to end up in the same thing - healing. She didn't want to kill the Scholar because eternity was just lonelier without a nemesis. But she wants him to hurt. Longer.
  15. *slow clap* Bravo, Quiv! Hail to Ponycago and Discord's Funland of Chaos!
  16. *comes up behind Leftinch to put a hand over his mouth, stab him in the back in the same place he was stabbed before, and pull out the 10" chef's knife, before bringing the pointed end of the blade down in a slant on his throat, penetrating the artery and his vocal chords *pulls out the knife, pushes the Scholar forward with a kick, before spinning to a shadowy corner to stay out of sight.
  17. I am on battle mode today. In full battle gear: high heels, makeup, stern expression, strand of pearls, black dress, designer watch. Boardroom negotiations. Tedious. RP'ing is so much better. And I agree about Ender's. I just only read the first four and then for some reason, I shifted to reading Dune and I never picked up an Ender book after.
  18. Wow, Twy, are you as bad as me when going through this thread? My eyes start to glaze over and so I tend to skip some posts. Quiv's herd certainly is not about assimillating everyone in a friendly and magical community. He is an ally of Chaos now, and will continue to disrupt, until someone gives him cupcakes or apples or whatever ponies eat these days.
  19. Put that petition in the Lords of Chaos thread, Quiv. I for one, don't have the patience to go through the NC thread, although I must admit, your claiming NC now after building it has an irony that I like. I applaud your audacity but will appreciate you going easy on assimillating the other social groups with pony magic. You already have the herd, the newly claimed and locked mercenaries guild, and newcago. Elsa, Child, you should consider abdicating before you get thrown out and kicked. Ponies are known to do that. They can kick a tree hard enough for all apples to fall. Upvote to the Wafflesworn Founder. We thrive in those games.
  20. I agree. And as Chaos said, there were already some safeguards placed to prevent a deluge of the bots from flooding the forums. I can only imagine what it will look like without those safeguards. It can probably turn us off from 17thS completely.
  21. To me? To Leftinch? To both of us? Are you taking sides, and quitting your "observer" role? Note: I honestly hate dueling. Most messy. I would rather poison the pages of Leftinch's books. Or his food. Or the security keypad he would use on the way down to his archives. You may think what you will, but I'm a cook at heart, and cooking up poisons is not that far of a stretch from cooking delicious food.
  22. Because Pandas move slowly and get distracted by kiwi fruit and other delights?
  23. I won't offer. Because it pisses off the Panda.
  24. What's the difference?
  25. Panda, are you annoyed by the success of the campaign? Honestly though, I haven't been recruiting people actively, except to introduce myself as part of LoC. Those who freely leave NC, like BT, are fair game. I don't know in what manner I annoyed you. Did I try to recruit an Observer? Chaos did that, not me. And in RP, the role is a temptress. Swaying people to do things is her thing. I will stop recruiting when Chaos tells me to. Not before. When the opportunity presents itself, I pounce.
