The War. Volume 2: Traitors and Alliances
Quitecontrary replied to Mailliw73's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
So, unDeath of you, Death. I would think that all this conquering and destruction would be to your liking. A Death that wishes peace? What has happened to you? -
Do you deny then that he was Queenmaker to you? Regardless of what he may be now, he is and will always be, Your Queenmaker.
-
The Mistress turns around in her chair, looked the lost stranger over, and grinned amusedly. "Sit down and rest, Stranger. I am going back inworld later on a Gateway and you can come with me then. Partake of the Raven Throne's brew.", she raised a glass to the King on his throne.
-
He was just being true to his nature, child. Once a betrayer, always a betrayer. Do not expect loyalty from one such as him. He has, and will always serve, himself. Quiver, I applaud your audacity. You are the Queenmaker, after all.
-
Matrim, the Knave has defected and created The Herd. He went around the guikds trying to assimilate everyone into his MLP-inspired guild. Mailliw was riled, and with Newcago, and subsequently the Observers, are now waging war ton the Herd. BT, Lord of Lager, resigned his post and went back to his Raven Throne. Twy did the same, professing Peace and Neutrality and built Switzerland. I just go around watching things ensuring chaos rules. The Lords of Chaos have abstained from RP'ing in their threads, but we are allowed to go everywhere to sow chaos.
-
Mailliw and Panda should really have lived longer in the Elimination game. Look at what idleness does...higher testosterone levels...warmongering. Quiver really should be left alone to run or fly with his silly herd. Leave him be already! This is starting to look like Brony persecution and it will be uncomfortably a moral issue before long. -- May I just say, Lord Chaos, that I like that we don't RP here. It's like a chaotic safe haven.

Mary looked around the silver palace approvingly, swept her red flowing robes behind her and gracefully gave the new king a deep curtsy. She looked up with slanted eyes at the Raven King and stood up when he nodded an acknowledgment. "I am here merely as a messenger, milord. From one who desires only that Chaos reign. We are enamored of those who leave the cold palace of Newcago, and we welcome them in our faction as friends...as allies. Our leader, Lord Chaos, offers nothing but unlimited power to those who join him in his reign. We revel in unpredictability, and this chaotic turn of events make us very happy indeed, and desirous to have you in our ranks as an honorary member. A King in your own right, your own rule, but destined to make chaos." The Mistress of the Wafflesworn walked over to the throne, and with slender fingers traced the intricate pattern of unfurled feathers sculpted on metal. "You are alone in your quest, milord. New allies pave the way for you to easily establish your reign.", she spoke in a low voice so that only he would hear. "Consider it." At that she swept down from the dais and took a seat, looking over the Child Queen and Twylight. "How about we toast this visit? It is not just your palace I wished to see. I also wanted to partake of your famous brew."
-
The Mistress of the Wafflesworn stepped out of the gateway into heat and sand. She stood silently and looked up at the sun, closing her eyes, and feeling the warmth suffuse her. After that visit to cold Newcago, she went to change and follow the former Lord of Lager to his dominion. She dressed well for this visit, finding it easy to get into old habits. She came from a place so similar from the Raven's that it was eerie. She dispensed with her white uniform and wore the bold colors of the desert. Red, for the blood that affect her control. The smooth, flowy fabric caressed her brown skin as she walked on gold and leather slippers to the bright silver castle. Her necklace and belt of silverworked cour'souvras clinked lightly in the desert breeze. The metal...the minds...the souls of her slaves served to remind her what she was doing in this place. To convince BreathTaker to ally with the Lords of Chaos.

"Would you like some chicken, Twylight? Yak meat is great, but you really should have a little more chaos variety in your diet.", the Mistress offered. She appraised Twylight with a practiced eye, weighing her and the possibility of adding her to the collection in the Wafflesworn kitchens. The woman was by no means a waffler, but that can be learned. A recipe with waffles and a siding of yak stew was slowly forming in her head. She observed the colors of the knitting project the woman was working on, pastel colors reflective of...the Herd? She took another bite of the spicy chicken, contemplating a Bulgogi dish made of the yak meat Twylight was famous for. "What has made you stay in Newcago, Twylight?", the Mistress quietly asked. It was time to make friends.

The Mistress of the Waffesworn sat on one corner of the ice palace, in her customary white, watching the proceedings in Newcago. Her lips lifted in a small smile. Truth will out, she thought, as she swallowed a small bite of crispy Korean BBQ chicken, and licked the sweet & spicy sauce from her fingertips. She has taken to watching things in NC when it gets interesting. Like the Knave's betrayal, which was to be expected. The Knave was definitely welcome in her kitchen now, so long as he doesn't bring the Dalek Ponies with him. She liked how chaotic things have been getting. She laughed huskily at the Lord of Lager's pronouncement. A vote of no confidence?, she smiled in glee, and looked around, looking for any Wafflesworn or Chaos forces who'd like to share the delicious chicken with her. It's so nice to watch things unfold.

For cupcakes! For apples! For pie!

Yes, Quiv. I love the chaos you're bringing though. Scream Assimilate to the rooftops, but know that you will get no warmongering reaction from me. I can't speak for the "peaceful" Newcagoans though, so yeah your plea there might be better heard. Besides, we all know you love Feather's work to bits, that Friendship is really Magic, and there's no place you'd rather be than in the middle of the chaos you've created. In your heart, you never really were a Newcagoan. Don't worry. After all of this, you and your Dalek Ponies will still be welcome in the Lords of Chaos.
-
What's with all the fuss with The Herd? Quiver decides to defect and create his herd of cute looking murderous ponies. Big deal. He can go to all factions and scream Assimilate! and the best way to handle him is to just ignore his attempts at assimilating everyone into his herd. Not everyone is an MLP fan after all. (But, it's nice bit of chaos. So I will cheer him on!)

Pin Me Up! (Sharder Geo Tracking Visualized)
Quitecontrary replied to Quitecontrary's topic in General Discussion
Sorry for the hiatus. The map has been adjusted of these changes. Pinned, and yes, you're quite alone. Oooh, nice! Thanks Leonardus. Apparently I put your pin quite far from Buenos Aires the first time. -
Hi Elsa, now that you know how to post an image, please be mindful about the forum rules that specify the size of the image that needs to be posted. Too large an image can stretch the screen unnecessarily. You can also do what Quiv does of putting spoiler tags to hide the image for easy scrolling. Read Forum Rules Here.

I should be more careful of invoking that name moving forward.

Long Game 6: Daes Dae'Mar, The Great Game
Quitecontrary replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The vote could've easily gone to Trimat though, but he deftly defended himself, and that was what was lacking with the whole Bela affair. There was no voice to defend him so he must not have bothered to give his role to the ones openly asking for it. In hindsight, we should've seen that the lack of defense meant that he wasn't in collusion with the rest of the DF's, who would've stepped up to prevent the lynching (or non-lynching as in the case of the horse) from happening. On Khamsi's darkfriendedness, Newan, what indication did you see that made you say she is evil? I can just as easily say Awes is evil. Or that you are. If I wanted to throw suspicion around. Do you have concrete evidence backing you up (except for Khamsi's faulty deduction) which was shared not just by me, but by a few others who just didn't bother to cast the vote anymore because they were enough. Note that I'm not saying this to defend her. I mean her waffles are A-mazing, but I need to know what made you single her out of all the others who voted for the same thing. That you think that only means you have delusions of grandeur. So you would jump to the idea of peace, because it sounds good? Take arms because it sounds noble? And be chaotic for the sake of one-upmanship? Ridiculous. Chaos is chaos. That it is sown in your court is evidence of our influence. You cannot escape it. Nobody can. (Quiver - Nopony can. Everypony in your herd will succumb to it, if Pinkie Pie's mental state is any indication.) -- Before anyone gets riled up, this is RP. Don't take it seriously.

Long Game 6: Daes Dae'Mar, The Great Game
Quitecontrary replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Mayor! My, my...Mistress Khamsi really is moving in quite comfortably in this town, Rishi thought as she carried a new batch of freshly whipped batter to the new grill that was setup in The Waffle House. Work was good. It kept one's mind off dark thoughts and suspicions that seemed to be plaguing too many of the villagers lately. Outside at the common room and even outside the inn, villagers had been crying out in loud voices who they wanted lynched next, and if that wasn't bad enough, those who chose to be silent about the whole affair had fingers pointed to them in turn. Rishi was lucky to not be outside. She asked Mistress Khamsi if she was allowed to just work out of the waffle kitchen for now especially since everyone was curious to have a taste. Now that the innkeeper's campaign was under way, the demand for more waffles will certainly be higher. As the innkeeper predicted, Rishi had made adjustments to the recipe based on her experience, and had since given the gleewoman the variations that she thought would work. On one side of her kitchen table lie several bowls of freshly picked berries of different kinds, and on the stoves, hot syrups were simmering, ready to be poured onto freshly grilled waffles. As she waited for the grill to get hot, she looked out the window to the back of the inn, where the stables were. That new boy that Gade hired was killed last night, and as a result, the Dragon's Fang painted on Bela's stable hadn't been washed yet. It made her think, as she washed the flour off her hands, what would've happened if they'd just put that odd horse down on the first day. Drell's Crossing didn't take well to odd folk before, but now all sorts had invaded the village, even a horse who caused Gade's death. He was like a father to her, and she would feed that horse poison if she got the chance. Rishi shook her head. This...dark mood...had infected everyone, and she wasn't immune. She rarely cried, but as she poured the batter onto the grill, she felt tears suddenly flow. Nobody lamented for the dead anymore. Nobody thought to somberly drink to the ones who passed on, to celebrate their memory. This town, and what it used to represent, was slowly fading before her eyes, and it broke her heart. 'Tis the Dark One's own hand, and she murmured a prayer to the Creator to protect them all in the coming days. To protect them, and keep them all in the Light.- 503 replies

Beautiful. The Knave has turned yet again. My Turncoat Waffles have done their job magnificently. (He feels very like the odd crazy uncontrollable character though. Like...Padan Fain.) Mashadar at work there.
-
Oooh, so chaotic. *shivers*
-
Wow, Shiv...you totally set the bar for this one. That should be an award: SHIVBUSTER OF THE YEAR.
-
You have betrayed someone yet again. You should be an honorary member of the Lords of Chaos.
