  1. Wilson, I've said that I've told Peng my role. Thank you. I agree that the Inquisitor is most likely who has claimed to be a regular villager, although they also could've claimed to be a smoker or have said that they've snapped since then, as others have said. Which is why I'm voting for Shiv.
  2. Well, I've been offline for two days now, not by choice. Seems like not much has happened. I also think that we should be discussing our suspicions before Peng makes his vote. Also, I've told Peng my given role.
  3. Aspren had last slept three days ago. Now he spent most of his time in a house on the opposite side of the street from Dyring's Inn. From the top floor window he just about see the entrance to the Inn. He'd been making note who and when anyone left, and what time they came back. He'd hired some street urchins to follow a few of them around and had also spoken to all the metallurgists he knew to see if they were supplying anyone. He'd gotten some census information from a few of his contacts in the Canton of Orthodoxy. He'd even managed to get into the Canton of Orthodoxy's archives. The room he had been staying in was now packed with papers with text scrawled over all of them. He had made notes of all the information he had. He had so much information. He had nothing to help him determine who the Inquisitor was. He had nothing. When the morning came, and he heard the shouts coming from the direction of the Inn, he couldn't bring himself to look. He knew the Inquisitor must have acted again. He knew there was nothing he could do about it. He sat there, holding his head, covering his ears, eyes shut. I literally have no idea what to do now. I have suspicions; so many that they're effectively worthless. I have suppositions based on assumptions based on guesses. I don't have enough information to make an informed decision, and I suppose neither do most of you. I'll probably not have much to say from here on out. I really don't like saying anything if it doesn't contribute anything. I'll be taking a back-seat role for the most part, from now on (not that I particularly participated much previously).
  4. The day ends in half an hour or so. I vote to not vote to kill to vote not to kill anyone, or rather to kill no-one. In short, I vote no-kill.
  5. You have a point there. Though that's excluding the possibility that the misting lied about their role, that the Inquisitor doesn't actually know their role or that the Mistborn doesn't know either. Also, you do realise that I'm talking in general, and not specifically about the scenario that occurred on day 2.
  6. Dyring, you're going off on a tangent. I said: the Inquisitor wouldn't publicly oppose the mistborn and would prefer that someone was lynched. You said that: The Inquisitor would vote for someone he knew was a misting. How are these contradictory?
  7. If I were the Inquisitor It'd be smarter ingratiate myself with the mistborn, rather than oppose him publicly, as I have. If I was, it would make more sense for me to support killing people at random with little or no evidence, as you have. It would mean more corpses for the Inquisitor to choose from, less people who could attempt to kill the Inquisitor and also lowers the amount of people that need to be converted in order to outnumber the rest of the crew members.
  8. I vote Mathieu, just for the sake of it. It's already apparent that Digits is going to be the one that is lynched. It makes little difference who I vote for now.
  9. NO, to making the information that you've gathered public. And yes to your suspects. While Mathieu hasn't made a single post yet it's probably because he's just not been online much, or it may just be that he forgot that this game is still going on. Digits on the other hand has been online more often, or at-least when I checked, and from what I can tell he has been avoiding making posts. I'm not too sure that this is suspicious since this may just be because he really wants to avoid getting killed offhand, as happened last time. EDIT: noticed Peng's last post
  10. DocHoliday, on Earth tropical storms form and move northwest in the northern hemisphere because of the Coriolis effect. If Roshar were in the Southern hemisphere (as is implied by southern Roshar being colder than northern Roshar) Then the storms would form to the northeast and travel southwest. In the case of having a supercontinent like Roshar and having the rest of the world be ocean, the storms might not veer off to the north or south, but rather just keep on moving west, assuming that it travelled along the equator.
  11. I wish he had told us his reasoning behind why he was targeting Wes or at-least admitted that it was unfounded, so that we could all have decided to avoid killing anyone or at the very least discussed it. It wasn't my intent to have Shimble killed. My hand was forced into action to prevent what seemed only to be random killing. Shimble's blood is also on your hands.
  12. It seems I have to make a play. I retract my previous vote. I vote Shimble Leice. I'll maintain this unless given sufficient reason not to. I'd much rather not vote for anyone.
  13. I stand by my word, for now, till I have more concrete proof of my suspicions, to rather not vote to have someone killed. I refuse to vote for anyone.
  14. Point taken. Though, while I agree that part of the point of the game is killing each other off, doing so at random is hardly any fun, except maybe for the killer. Though a lucky guess hardly speaks for much for their skill. We have so little to go on right now that it's hard to believe that anyone will kill anyone else other than at random. I do agree that soon we will have to take chances, but not now. I suppose I too must seem suspicious for proposing that we play it safe.
  15. These deaths were wholly unnecessary. How come we avoided lynching anyone on the first day only for it to be decided that someone should be killed that very night? The whole purpose of not killing, was to avoid giving the Inquisitor more corpses to work with. The whole reason we avoided lynching anyone then was because we couldn't guess with any certainty who the Inquisitor was. What changed? What new information gave you the impression that Fnord or Lam were the inquisitor? Can we expect that more of us will be dying based on mere guesswork. I'm not having it. Doing it that way only promotes paranoia among the crew. At that rate half of us will be dead within five days. The only person who can possibly benefit from such a high death rate is the Inquisitor. If we're going to survive this we are going to at-least have some measure of trust, not much, just enough to trust that your fellow crew members aren't going to have you killed on a whim Peng, I get the impression that the only reason you killed Lam was to make a point. I can understand why you would need to, but that doesn't justify your killing. I should have been more plain about this earlier on, I say that we play it safe. We should avoid killing eachother. No-one here wants to die.
  16. Haha, I'm not falling for that! I bet that's just a crude attempt at distracting us and and... oh, look, new chapter illustrations...
  17. Aspren replied, "Yes, but unlike the in the first game the, where the Spiked definitely had the initial advantage, in this one the Inquisitor most likely doesn't. He has no allies yet (I hope) and so Meta would probably give the Inquisitor the chance to convert more than a 1/4 of the crew in case some of them get lynched or the Inquisitor themself gets killed. So that even if the Inquisitor dies the Converts still have a chance of winning. You may be right. In fact it's more likely that you're right, but I'm going to play assuming the worst. I'm not going to give the Inquisitor the benefit of the doubt"
  18. The end of the day was nearing. It had been quiet for quite some time now. Most of the crew members were simply wallowing in their current predicament, or more accurately attempting to drown themselves in it, considering the amount of drink that was flowing. Aspren stood up and cleared his throat, drawing the attention of those that still had any left to spare. "Though we don't have a lot to go on right now, there are some things that we have yet to consider concerning the situation we're in and the opposition we face. But first let's summarize what we already know: We all know that the Inquisitor can and will convert one of us to their side every night. Except the Inquisitor can't do so on the very first night as they need at-least one fresh corpse that they can use. I'm sure that the Inquisitor has some form of nightly killing ability. The Inquisitor is limited as to how many of us they can convert. Each time the Inquisitor converts someone they lose one of their special abilities. And If they lose all of their special abilities then they die. The amount of special abilities an Inquisitor has is proportionate to the amount of players in the game. And to win the game the Inquisitor and converts need to outnumber the other crew members. Previous conflicts (In the wake of the Koloss) had 4 spiked enemies against 12 villagers. In our situation there are 28 of us against 1 Inquisitor. It can be assumed that if the odds were to be evened it should be that the Inquisitor be able to convert at-least a third of the initial crew members. Now, I don't imagine that the Canton of Inquisition (Meta) would give the Inquisitor more than 10 special abilities, as that would make it almost impossible for us to beat. If so It should be safe to assume that the Inquisitor won't be able to convert more than 9 other players. It goes without saying that our main priority should be finding and killing the Inquisitor, regardless of how many Converts the Inquisitor makes. Relative to the Inquisitor, the Converts are much less dangerous as they can't convert crew members. We also need to remember that the Inquisitor needs our corpses to convert other crew members. So by the time that the Inquisitor has 9 converts, there will be at-least 9 dead crew members and so only 10 of us left alive. And that's if we're lucky and manage to avoid unintentionally killing eachother. Effectively, by the time that the Inquisitor has their 9th convert it will be almost impossible for us to overcome them. That said, right now the odds are in our favour. Yet I still have no idea what to do. I don't have any plan that I'm willing to suggest. Even if I did, it would be quite a suspicious thing to do after all that I've said." With that said, Aspren slowly made his way back to his seat. *I couldn't manage both roleplaying and trying to get my point across at the same time. Also, when does the day end? EDIT: a misspelling and new information.
  19. One stated it plainly (Peng), two others insinuated that they had allomantic abilities, the last one is just me guessing that they have an allomantic ability, because of the way that they worded their post.
  20. There are only four possible targets for the Inquisitor. These targets are the ones who have revealed that they have allomantic powers. There's no logic in attempting to kill anyone else, because otherwise they're playing just by luck and then they'd risk losing the chance to get another misting on their side when they use their corpse to convert someone.
