  1. This question has probably already been answered, and if not it will most likely be answered in the update mentioned above. In the original announcement of the creation of this game, was it announced what consoles it would be made for?
  2. Yeah, I think that you basically said it. I don't have the quote, but in one of his visions (I think) it says something like "act with honor and honor will aid you." So I am pretty sure that Honor has an ability similar to Preservation in being able to see into the future (to an extent) which is how he was able to make the visions. And so he would have known about Dalinar and Kaladin's potential (Kaladin as a windrunner and Dalinar as a Bondsmith). Therefore, Sadeas's betrayal brought Dalinar and Kaladin together to eventually reform the Knights Radiant That was a fulfilment of Dalinar acting with honor by fighting with Sadeas with the intention to attempt bring the Highprinces together and unite Alethkar and how honor aided him And it showed Kaldin what being a Windrunner was all about (protecting people who cannot protect themselves) Therefore my conclusion is that Honor knew Sadeas was dishonorable, but he also knew what it would take to reform the knights radiant and therefore weighed his options and told Dalinar to trust him.
  3. Indeed, it is quite easy to become addicted to his books... that is why we are all here. Welcome fellow Sharder
  4. Theoretically I think it might be possible for a human to fall in love with their spren -especially an honorspren- (as has been said), however I think that with the knowledge that the spren has as far as the wider cosmere, they wouldn't be likely to fall in love because they are there to 'keep them in check" as Syl said
  5. Well we don't want people to start Rioting... but getting them to do so that would be a Breeze. Welcome to the 17th Shard, where theories, puns and baked goods are abundant (Edit: grammar)
  6. Connor the Shardholder gave me Mistborn and told me to read it... I wasn't a reader at the time. But I am now I then continued to read pretty much all of his books except Alcatraz and Legion and I am now hooked and am the unofficial leader of the Sanderfan club at my school. But I am the only Sharder at our school so...
  7. Wait, Isn't Nightwatcher one of the big spren peeps? so you could speak an oath... become bonded to her and then ask for whatever you wanted and she couldn't curse you too bad or it would affect her.
  8. Welcome to the 17th Shard Always good to have another Sharder. Let me be the first to warn you of the array of baked goods that will be offered to you in the near future by various Sharders.
  9. I don't think 'enclosed' is the word you guys are looking for. If he is holding them in his hand then they are still on the outside of the body, they are just being held in his hand. Also one must take into account that they had a limited knowledge of things due to the oppression of the Lord Ruler... also it never says that metal 'piercing' the body cannot be pushed against, it just says that it is much much harder to do so. However the LR had enough allomantic power to push on people inner metals. It is probably quite similar to the theory about pushing on trace metals trace metals... it just takes power and practice. With the coin... I think it is specifically that it is inside his body and therefore does not register allomantically... but then again, she wasn't looking for it, if she was she may have picked it up even if it was faintly...
  10. On the Coppermind it says that Hoid is a Feruchemist... and he took one of the beads leaving the last one that Elend used. Is that how he would have gained his Feruchemy? or would he have been there before and just returned at that point to take the bead. If he was there previously that may have been how he knew of the Well's new location. Also he posed as a terris leader in the Hero of Ages so he was probably used to living with them if he had done so prior to the LR's ascension
  11. They are most likely similar to an extent... however being a savant isn't adding anything to the body, it is just an overuse of ones Allomantic ability. Whereas Hemalurgy is an addition to the body. However I remember it saying somewhere that becoming a savant changes the person completely... is that right or am I making that up?
  12. I'm not sure if this has already been said or not, but seeing how Scadrians have more of a day-to-day use of all these metals might have meant that they had more of a cause to research and develop faster than we did in the real world. Also I think that they would have almost certainly had help from Harmony.
  13. My two games that I am switching between right now are Banjo-Kazooie on N64 (classic) Zelda - Twilight Princess (Wii) I am attempting to beat Banjo-Kazooie for the first time since I have never been able to. And I am about to beat Twilight Princess for the third time, seeing how I got bored of beating Ocarina of Time.
  14. I would be Odium... because I would be allowed to completely destroy things for no good reason, there would be nobody to stand against me and I wouldn't be limited by any of the other shards. And yeah, have a doughnut. Whatever flavor frosting and toppings you wish. And welcome to the 17th shard
  15. And the Shard for this world is the heavenly gardener
  16. Australia, speak English and Japanese
  17. The vest and doughnut are free... you get a helmet after you defeat your first Inquisitor. Good luck
  18. Ok, that makes sense... but with him taking such an interest in Joel at the end, what can he do with Joel?
  19. I quite liked the book, however there is one thing that I don't understand. Nalizar has a hard time focusing on Joel and he doesn't ever remember him... until the end where he gets involved with the duel. What changed?
  20. In the Hero of Ages, Marsh (under the control of Ruin) kills the one guy in order to make a spike for Lord Penrod back in Luthadel. I don't have a quote but I am pretty sure he mentions the decaying of the charge between when it is made and when he gets it into Penrod.
  21. Because donuts have icing... nuff sed
  22. Alright, so myself as High Emperor Elend Venture and my girlfriend as Empress Vin Venture, The Hero of Ages did not work out as well as I had hoped... These primitive minds do not know the power and majesty of mistborn. But oh well, we will continue converting.
  23. It can probably be assumed that by storing up luck they could shoot it through the right spot... but with using a bullet as a hemalurgic spike we have to remember that the size and placement of the spike determine the amount of charge it can hold. And most importantly if you planned to use it you would have to shoot it perfectly through Miles and into someone else and have it stick into them for it to work effectively. Because with the small size of the bullet it would quickly lose it's charge if you left it for long.
  24. "nothing else dangerous that we could find, except for Wayne's body odor"... "That's the smell of incredibleness"

  25. Yeah mate, I converted her before we started going out and she went absolutely crazy reading all of Brandon's books. She is like my own little Vin... short, and somewhat shy, but very dangerous. She has martial arts experience, so I am glad she doesn't have allomancy as well... I don't know if I could keep up
