  1. Questions: If you create PMs with a Spanreed, are they ongoing or only for that night? Do actions take place in sequence? That is, are all actions used on action 1 at the same time, and then action 2, and so on? Or not? Once a Thief uses an item, where does it go? Are Heirs for that turn only, or perpetual? Playstyle will come later. Either RP-heavy (because I'm trying to write 40k this month and I'm very behind), or something new! Which is always exciting. (I considered seriously doing "aggressive", but I don't think I have time right now. )
  2. The night was still. Even Telperion hadn’t ventured out, not when everyone was looking for a silver-haired girl now. She stayed at home, ensconced in covers with a good book. But someone was out and about. Many, many people. And one of more importance than the others. One person was out, searching slowly and carefully through mounds of debris. Finally, they found what they were looking for. An ornate pommel, just protruding from the dirt. They grasped the handle. And they were held fast to it by a sudden, overpowering force of hatred. Well, well, what do we have here... A deep, dark voice from the hammer, which the hand was slowly pulling from the soil, not entirely of its owner’s volition. “I- I- Who are you?” The voice chuckled. I am hatred. I am revenge. I am death. Haelbarde has been reincarnated as the Hazecrusher! The Night is over. Please do not PM each other. (PMs to the GMs are always allowed.) Day will begin in 24 hours.
  3. Night 5 - Laurelin fretted, walking behind Tilion. She’d finally had to come to the marketplace, under Tilion’s pressure. He arrived at the mayor’s house, and he waved her inside. Without any other recourse, she followed. They came into the room, and Mayor Axies stood. “Ah, Tilion. What brings you here? And with such a fine lady?” “Lady Laurelin, your grace,” she said quietly. “I’m acting as her guide during her stay here,” said Tilion. “But that’s not the matter of which I wish to speak. I was- Well, a couple of nights ago, when Sumath died. Do you remember? I wasn’t witness to the event itself, but... I found the body.” “Why didn’t you report it, man? The constables discovered it the next morning! There was no way to link back to the killer at that point, or none that they found. Fortunately, the matter is over, since Yafeshan has died.” Tilion shook his head. “That’s exactly the thing. I don’t think that was the last of them. Sure, there was no death last night, but that doesn’t mean the danger’s gone. And- Well. I didn’t report it because...” His voice lowered. “Because I saw the killer kneeling over the body.” The mayor’s eyes widened, as Laurelin very nearly slumped. Great. Now I get to be sent off to prison, for who knows how long? “It was a woman, you see, not like Yafeshan at all. I don’t remember much, but she had silver hair, yet she didn’t appear old. Beautiful silver hair...” Silver hair. Silver hair! Telperion, you’ve saved me! Lauren barely kept herself from collapsing with relief. She wasn’t going to be arrested! “Silver hair, hmm? Well, that’s a good deal more than we’ve had to go on before, anyway. Thank you, Tilion.” The rest of their visit was spent in idle chat with the mayor, which Laurelin could have done in her sleep. When they were done, Laurelin followed Tilion back out into the street with a light step and a light heart. “Word is that there might be another murderer out there, a girl with silver hair,” said Silas, joining the little group. “Silver hair? I don’t know any girl like that,” ArSel drawled. “I like my girls a bit younger than eighty.” “Not old, though. Young and beautiful.” “You definitely wouldn't know anyone like that, ArSel,” joked Myte. “Ah, hush. Actually, there is someone. Doesn’t Dano have silver hair?” “Maybe...” Silas said, frowning. “It’s been so long since I’ve seen her that I can’t remember for sure.” “What if...” Myte gasped. “What if we haven’t seen her because her buddies got killed?” “Why don’t we just go and... knock on her door?” Silas suggested. “See why she’s gone into hiding.” The three eventually found Dano’s door and knocked. Silas drew his dagger, indicating for the others to do the same. “Best to be prepared.” After several minutes stretching their tension to the breaking point, the door finally opened with a bang. Dano stepped out, hair shining in the sunlight, and grinned. “So, what’d I miss?” *breaks into jig* The three men attacked at once, and three daggers hit Dano’s heart. “Rusts...” she whispered, as she lay dying. “This is why I don’t store chromium when I’m near people...” Silas and the others saw with a start that her hair wasn’t silver. It was wet. She’d been bathing. And, apparently, storing chromium. ArSel bent down to check the corpse, and pulled out a couple of pieces of metal. “No spikes. Only these.” He held up a pair of chromium metalminds. Silently, the three walked away. Danosaur was lynched! He was an Iron/Chromium Twinborn with a Wooden Shield! Vote Count: Danosaur (3): TheMightyLopen, Araris Valerian, Mark IV Master Elodin:(0); Master Elodin The Night has begun. You have 24 hours to send in actions. Player List
  4. Rule Clarifications I have recently finished reading through LG11, and a few things have come to my attention for clarification. There are also some questions which have been asked in PMs that are worth bringing attention to. No. It was in the original game, but it will not be revealed until its use. In LG11, the item was dropped and replaced the item currently in that room. In this game, it is passed to your killer or someone who voted for you. No. It will not be revealed in the writeup. Yes. You can target a GM with any action that you wish, if you want to. No. Not Hemalurgic, regardless of changed alignment. (Assuming you are Village.)
  5. In the eye of a hurricane there is quiet For just a moment A yellow sky... Telperion prowled through the misty night, watching other shadows flit past, but never quite close enough to catch them. Things were happening around her, she could sense it. She darted after a particularly close shadow, but it disappeared again without a sound. She growled in frustration. Something was happening. She knew it. But there were no screams, no fires, nothing to see but writhing shadows all around. And there was another shadow, just ahead of her! She ran after it, and seemed to be catching up. Hooded and cloaked, she thought it was. Then it vanished too. She stopped, panting, then shook her head. Too many secrets, too many dark corners to penetrate, and dawn was already coming. The sky was almost pale behind the mist. With a sigh, she turned back toward the hotel. Nothing but more running in circles would come from following shadows. Behind her, the shadows continued to weave and interweave without notice of her departure. No one died! You have 48 hours to decide who to lynch. 4 Items were found. Player List

  7. MR13: Treachery on the Terris Peaks GMs: Elbereth and Twei History turns and shifts, and a little piece of metal moves just slightly... “Right. You’re qualified, you’re coming. Your bag, please?” The young man froze. “Why do you need my bag?” “Inspection. We need to know if we should provide you with a better bag or if yours is sufficient. Also, extraneous metalminds aren’t allowed. There shouldn’t be a reason for you to have a coppermind, for instance. I’ll be carrying the only one, to record what happens at the Well.” He very reluctantly handed his bag over. “I’m not perfectly packed yet,” he tried. “There’s some stuff that I want to take out...” “Really? I thought you said you were ready to go, right now.” “Well, yes... I mean...” He stopped as she pulled out a metal cylinder. “Don’t open that, please! It’s private.” “Privacy isn’t private when you’re dealing with the protection of the most important man in the world,” commented Tindomë wryly, opening the metal cylinder. It looked to have words printed on it. The young man stayed silent as she read, head hung in defeat. She looked up at him. “‘He must never be allowed to complete his quest’? ‘Alendi was never the Hero of Ages’? ‘Alendi must not reach the Well of Ascension’? This is signed by Kwaan. The traitor!” She threw his backpack back at him. “Get out of my sight. No traitors will be allowed on this mission.” He stared at her with hate. “Very well. But I have friends who are packmen. You can’t stop them all!” He turned and stalked away. “Friends, huh?” she said softly to herself. Unfortunately, Rashek was right. She didn’t have nearly enough packmen yet, and she didn’t even know if she could trust those she’d already accepted. She looked down the long line of hopefuls. Most she could dismiss off the bat, of course. Previous experience as a packman was required, and most of them didn’t even have that. But those who did... She couldn’t turn away a willing hand, even if that hand might turn traitor. She’d just have to try to figure out who was who as fast as possible, and make sure Alendi was protected at all times. Tindomë rubbed her forehead. She’d never thought this was going to be easy, but it wasn’t supposed to involve traitors. She tossed the metal sheet to the ground and beckoned forth the next applicant. 8. Laurelin watched as the mist came out. Little streaks of silver, shimmering through the air like ribbons... They connected in places, growing and growing, weaving together like a tapestry of magic. Eventually, she could no longer see the other side of the street. The change had happened slowly, this time. Her hair silvered in streaks, just like the mist, and her eyes changed slightly. Telperion awoke, with the memories of Laurelin, but without the same worries. Sure, she’d seen a man die before her eyes (and so had someone else), but that was okay. She’d survive. She was in it for the adventure! The mists shivered with life, and Telperion grinned. Momentous events were occurring, and she was in the middle of them! And tonight was going to be important. She just knew it. She tiptoed out the window, and stood for a moment in the mist. Silver strands wrapped around her. She paused a moment more, absorbing the quiet of the night. Then she laughed, high and light, and scampered off into the shadows. The Night is over! Late actions will not be accepted. Day will begin in 24 hours.
  9. An assortment of thoughts, in no particular order: 1. I very much enjoyed this game. Particularly after I got into the jail doc and was just able to guess (often wrongly) about hidden rules and throw out weird game ideas. That was most enjoyable. 2. Yay! I got a tag! 3. Thank you very much, Joe. This game was great fun, and I definitely enjoyed your GMing style. And all of your writeups were excellent. (If you want to, I'd imagine Elentari dying as she tries to protect someone else from the flames. (Not Liram, though. Just saying.)) 4. Can't wait to read the spec doc. (I have to, though, because school and writing and reading other things come first. ) 5. Well, I've been lynched now, which is a first. Oh well. 6. I have learned that when I have a game coming up is not the time to be my PM character. 7. I almost got that Aman wasn't Village at the end there! Not without help, though. A good deal of it. 8. This was really fun. That's about it.
