  1. Shoot. Sorry, @Tesh! Good luck with your dad. Other than that, I really don’t know. I hope you can figure this all out soon.
  2. I just got started on one of those online drawing courses, because I’ve always thought it would be super fun to be able to actually draw, and have things look like what you’re trying to draw. The first thing you do is copy the instructor as he draws an eye and explains everything. At the end you draw it again and so the improvement. This is my first eye, the one I copied. I just finished it.

  3. Talk to them again. Convince them that it’s serious. If it’s really getting this bad, you should try and get a therapist or a guidance counselor or something. But definitely make sure that your parents know you’re serious about it.
  4. Alright, that makes much more sense. It works!
  5. Edit and save. I’ll remember that. This didn’t work. How do you edit and save? And thank you for your help!
  6. Huh. Weird. Is that a photo or a screenshot? The ones that have trouble for me are photos. Screenshots work fine.
  7. Anytime I (or from what I’ve heard, anyone) posts a picture from their phone it automatically turns sideways. Is there a way to fix this?
  8. Yeah. I’ve always thought of them as a clear glass marble with the gemstone inside. Apparently they’re smaller than I thought.
  9. Weltall’s answer covers pretty much everything, except for one super important thing that I probably consider to be even more important: The Words of Founding. Sazed left books that gave everyone a rundown of what’s happening and presumably advice on how to start over. He also put the survivors together in one central location, rather than being spread around.
  10. First off, that shirt is amazing. Second off, no. I don’t want to be rude, but don’t be so dismissive of yourself. For your existing friends, that’s rough. My best would say to just hold on and don’t lose hope. People change and act weird. Even weirder with hormones. Which your friends will have loads of right now. I still think it’s a good idea to try and find new friends that like doing and talking about the same things as you and that are easy to be around. It’s always good to have friends that don’t feel like they take a ton of effort just to not screw up. You are an awesome person. I know this because anyone with a T-shirt that great has to be a good person. Also, I would be upvoting some of this but I ran out at 1:00. This morning. Whoops.
  11. Don’t say that! I’m sure that people would be your friend if they knew you! I would be your friend if I ̶w̶a̶s̶n̶’̶t̶ ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶b̶o̶t̶ didn’t live somewhere else in real life. Try to find people who share your interests and who you can feel comfortable around. You’ll have to put yourself out first, but it’ll be worth it!
  12. Shoot! Sorry Pagerunner! My thoughts ran away from me there. I totally forgot.
  13. In that case, I don’t think I can really relate at all. I very rarely, if ever, cry while reading books. I didn’t cry during Old Yeller. One of the only times I’ve ever actively cried in a book is at the end of HoA. I cried the first two times I read it and choked up every time after. Best book ending ever. What I think you’re saying, how I can relate to it to make sense to my brain, is that some authors just give you feelings sometimes in ways that Brandon doesn’t, not really. So I can’t say that I really understand what you mean, but I can respect your ideas and opinions. Again, thanks for listening to me ramble!
  14. EDIT: Much of my original post was super mega OB spoilers, which Pagerunner thankfully caught. This is what’s left. For thought provoking and deep, I loved the Ender Trilogy. Quartet? I dunno. They were some of my favorite books of all time, with things to think about and discuss and ponder and wonder. @theuntaintedchild As for Card being a horrible person... I would disagree. He may have different views than yours- incredibly controversial views, and isn’t very considerate of others when stating them to the public, but that doesn’t make someone a horrible human being. My grandpa will often be in a conversation and make a joke about something incredibly political, or politically incorrect. Is he making it awkward for others? Yes. Is he being offensive? Undoubtedly. Is he showing a remarkable lack of tact? For sure. But he’s not a horrible person. He’s our grandpa and we love him. And he loves us. All this to say that I think you sometimes need to know a person more personally than internet articles and interviews to decide if someone’s a “horrible person” or not. And maybe he is a horrible person. Maybe I’m backing up the wrong guy! I’ll probably never know for sure.
  15. I feel the same way but with Lord of the Rings. I’ve never tried Wheel of Time.
  16. Yeah. I have a friend who’s read Mistborn and SA, but aren’t super into it. They like the books a lot, but get kinda annoyed when I talk about it or make obscure references. On the plus side, I’m getting my sister to read Mistborn and she’s maybe a quarter of the way through HoA. I’m so excited, and she loves it, and I’m so excited!
  17. Yeesh. That is rough. If I were in your shoes my brain would probably just be giving me error messages. I feel like Reshi is more of a tan, but a dark tan. Alethi skin would be born dark. But Reshi would be darker than Alethi, but with a tanned feel. If that makes any sense at all. I mean, what’s the Shard for if not to allow for conversations on applying incredibly trivial bits of fiction that we all enjoy to real life?
  18. Yeah. How tan/dark skinned? I feel like Alethi is lighter.
  19. I'm pretty sure that Shin's aren't that unusually pale. They're probably closer to just being white. And I vote the girl to be Reshi. Because Lift.
  20. Her username used to be SmartSloth? Weird. I’m so used to Tesh.
  21. You can’t see it if you’re on mobile. If you’re on desktop, it’s a message or whatever the person wants below all of their posts.
