  1. I think anyone would be vulnerable to division, assuming you can get past the investiture barrier (which surges seem to be good at). Division is literally breaking apart molecules. Anything with molecules should be susceptible.
  2. Huh?
  3. I meant, Adonalsium designed Roshar, which the Purelake is part of.
  4. I feel like the water draining into underground reservoirs could be accounted for by pressure changes. Adonalsium designed the place, after all.
  5. Oh I see. But how would it get Purelake water all the way up to Urithiru? And without killing the native Purelake life?
  6. ? The Purelake isn't central to Urithiru. The Purelake is north, and possibly a bit west of Urithiru. Urithiru is in a mountain range.
  7. Not all Shards have an equal and opposite Shard, like Pres and Ruin were. So there are several that can be Odium's opposite, but I think Devotion works pretty well.
  8. So I think I mentioned this in the other thread? But Odium is described as "God's own divine hatred, separated from the virtues that gave it context." Not wrath. And Devotion is probably the closest to its opposite, since Devotion is compassion or love.
  9. Brandon hints that Sazed is doing something with the excess Ruin, but not what.
  10. Odium is actually described as "God's own divine hatred, separated from the virtues that gave it context," rather than wrath
  11. 1000% agree with this.

There's also this, but be warned that it contains spoilers for all the books. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JJtJhHwpKdow01n2-bsT3scVvqJd6lZh4uvpNwcslv8/edit#gid=0
  14. So at this point, as I said, I think it'd be a better idea for you to make a post in The Stormlight or Cosmere forums to ask and discuss these, so that we don't clutter and derail this thread.
  15. If TLR gave it to him, then he would have had plenty of atium to use. If it was Ruin...The chart was probably made by the Lord Ruler, and he didn't know everything about Hemalurgy. Ruin would know much better how to grant any power, and any tricks or alternatives for what he wants to do.
  16. A lot of these have been answered, so you might try posting in the Stormlight forum (or the appropriate series forum, anyway, then anything that isn't already known can be put here. But basically: 1. The Cognitive Realm for the entire cosmere is flat and links up to each world. You can walk from planet to planet. Places that people don't think about, or live on, like space, is compressed. So you can cross light years in a step. That allows worldhoppers to walk or travel between worlds in a relatively short period of time. 2. The theory I have is that on land, there are people who link about all the things around them. Rocks, pebbles, houses, boxes, forks. Since each object has a bead, that fills the land part with beads. People tend to thing of a lake or a river or an ocean as a single cohesive thing, so it tends to be solid. Other than that, we haven't been given a lot of explanation yet. 3. The Spiritual Realm is really weird, and I don't think that a we're going to get a whole lot of it. But Brandon currently wants to have the method that humans came from Ashyn to Roshar be through the Spiritual Realm, if he can get it to work. There are also glimpses of it that we get in Mistborn. 4. Not yet. 5. Unknown yet. Probably going to be RAFO'd and answered in future books. 6. That's the popular theory. 7. It should allow travel like the Oathgates, but we're not sure yet if or how. 8. I'm sure we'll find out in Book 4. 9. See answer 8 10. That's a good one to ask Brandon for sure Here is where all of Brandon's answers, aka Words of Brandon have been compiled: https://wob.coppermind.net/ if you want to look at things Brandon has already answered.
  17. I mean, I liked the pieces of puzzle 6, I just didn't like being surprised by a multi-part puzzle, you know? Traveling Blues was fun, although figuring out which map to use or whether there were locations that weren't on the map could have been more clear. I liked ordering them like a rainbow Inscriptions was nicely complicated, though people who don't have the ebook are kinda at a handicap here, I think. And people who borrow from libraries and the like. I actually liked 3 a lot. That was a cool idea. 4 was crazy. I didn't really do anything helpful on it, but I'm impressed at the thought behind it. 5 was solved before I even knew the puzzles were live, so I have no input here. Same with 8. 7 was hilarious, very clever! Hahaha good one!
  18. Sorry, yeah, Puzzle 6. I didn't like that every time we thought we solved it, there'd be the surprise of another part, and without any idea of how many more there were to go. I don't really have rankings in mind, I just remember being a bit annoyed when we submitted the answer and then find out there's yet another piece. Other than that one, the puzzles were fun, and definitely harder than the previous round.
  19. I didn't like the surprise multipart nature of Puzzle 3, tbh.
  20. What you do is create an account, then there should be an Edit option on the top right. Sadly, many of the Era 1 articles do need a lot of work. The Keepers are pretty overworked. Edit: I don't know left from right.
  21. I think the destroyed lands just refers to Ashyn. Shinovar is pretty obviously created specifically for them, with an environment and ecology like on other human-inhabited worlds.
  22. Oh sorry, no. I mean passed the 4th Ideal as in, already spoken it, so she passed it. Like a milestone, it's behind her, and she continued on.
