  1. Exactly, yep. What do you define as a god? Jasnah, I think, defines it similar to the Christian God, the alpha and omega, "I am that I am". And she doesn't consider the Shards to fit that bill. I mean, people used to worship particularly interesting looking rocks and rivers. And that's fine, if they feel it is worthy of worship, but I don't feel the need to do the same, you know?
  2. Why are they God, just because they are super powerful beings? If we met aliens with technology that could bend time and space and had unlimited power sources, would you consider them Gods? Some people would, but I wouldn't. They would just be...extremely advanced and powerful beings. Here's a good topic with a lot of discussion on it back then, that I think covers a lot of people's thoughts both for and against. (We should continue discussion here, of course, just putting this here as a reference)
  3. Even melted, the investiture in them would still be accessible. So as long as he's still touching them, he would still heal.
  4. One popular misconception is that being burned (at the stake or something) is enough to completely incinerate a body. Most times, I think a bonfire would char off the skin and fat and some of the muscle, but most bones and the densest muscles would remain. Modern incinerators are hundreds of degrees hotter than any bonfire could get, and there's still quite a bit of bone left over, that has to be ground to dust (it's not actually ashes). So assuming that the Lord Rule had metalminds touching any of this still, he would be able to tap the gold and heal himself. Or just continually tap the metal so he doesn't start actually burning in the first place. That would count as surviving being burned. He could also have metalminds implanted in various places on his body, not just in his stomach and the like. I'd say that a nuke would probably do it if he was in the "vaporize everything" zone.
  5. Zane spiked himself. It was easier for Ruin to influence people who were crazy, and Zane was a couple sandwiches short of a deli. We don't know the exact circumstances, though.
  6. The strength of the Copper burner is also a factor. So they'd need a lot to pierce The Lord Ruler's coppercloud. Not quite as much to pierce Elend's. A coppercloud doesn't affect yourself, iirc, so TLR wouldn't need to pierce his own coppercloud.
  7. Read every book and WoB at least three times and remember them all
  8. Don't worry, I still put my pants on one leg at a time.
  9. We know that they don't. Shallan's eyes are still blue. Basically, the portion of the spiritweb that's responsible for eye color can only be changed once.
  10. I'm pretty sure if you are darkeyes, your eyes turn to the color of the Order the Blade is from.
  11. Moash's eyes turned a pale tan, didn't they? So it should be a Stoneward blade.
  12. Hoid is actually confirmed to not be Adonalsium
  13. Nope! Hopefully we'll find out soon.
  14. Also, that WoB is about Roshar, rather than Scadrial. Have you finished Secret History? Their goal is pretty apparent there. Word of Brandon. Things Brandon has said during signings, interviews, and the like.
  15. Different worldhoppers would have different goals. They're people, just people who have figured out how to travel between world. And as people, they have disparate goals and motivations.
  16. We don't know much about them, just that they're a worldhopping group, and that they mostly believe that planets shouldn't be interfered with (by worldhoppers, other Shards, etc). Frost seems to be a high ranking member or leader. And some of them are hunting for Hoid.
  17. In the recent Stormlight Update, Brandon said that they'd just barely started receiving the sketches from Michael Whelan. So it's going to be a while until it's ready.
  18. Or she knew that she could ask Cultivation to obtain the Blade for her, then give it to the requester. I'm not saying the Nightwatcher definitely didn't have it. I'm saying there's more than one option here, other than that.
  19. But she doesn't take offerings from people, that we've ever been told. She gives things, sometimes physical, sometimes not, then also gives a curse to go with it. There's no offerings involved, so where would she have gotten the pile of cloth? Also, sitting in a cave for umpteenth years would be really bad for cloth. Cultivation says she hasn't intervened in centuries, not that she hasn't seen the Nightwatcher in centuries.

    Vin vs Kaladin

Depends on the situation and the location and the resources available to each one. Need more details.
  21. Shadesmar is the colloquial term for the Cognitive Realm, yes. And the Cognitive Realm is shaped by thought and perception. So the CR for each planet is going to be different, depending on the thoughts and perceptions and culture of the people who live there.
  22. Same. I don't think she had it with her physically. She could either get it to give to someone who asked, or she would tell them how/where to get it. Like, she probably doesn't have a pile of cloth in a cave to give away in case someone asks for it, either, as an example.
