Well I guess that means you get to keep your spot at the top of Wilson's nonexistent 'Kill on Sight' list.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine maybe? Though that works more with funny-looking rather than deformities... Hmmm...

And this is the reason, as amusing as I thought it might be to match up you and Gamma (had he been a player), why I would not have done so. Also, you're not helping shake that moniker which I daren't mention. Is not actually sure who I'd ultimately go with if I had to pick two people - do I pick myself and a player I wanted to work with for the game? Do I try and pick a pair of inactives? Do I try one of the amusing combos?

Well at least we won't have a situation where you have Claincy as Gyorn, with Wilson both Odiv and one of the Lovers matched up with Gamma.

IS JOINING! Will go with Edrab Leah for the moment. Edrab is a famous author from another land. That is, he's famous in another land as being an author. He's yet to write any books while on Sel, as he's been suffering from a case of Writer's Block. He's been looking for inspiration, and so is hanging around to see if anything interesting happens.

Usually what ever the latest version of Windows is, whether that means the latest publicly available preview build, or just the latest RTM release while they cook up the next one. Though, not so much the Win 10 preview. The Win 7 and Win 8 previews were all entirely stable (at least the way I used them). The Win 10 previews have been noticably less stable, but they're a different beast. Why Windows? Habbit, and cheap. It's nice to not be limited (largely) in what software I want to download and run. Don't have to worry about dual booting or virtualisation or emulation. I also do not have the money for apple products, or (more importantly) view them as worth the price. I agree with the sentiment that iPod's are the best standalone audio players, but again, I've a phone that does that adequately. Would I use a mac if I had one? Maybe. Not super fond of the way they work (have had to use them at uni...), but I could learn. There has sometimes been bits and pieces of software that are Mac only that I've wanted to try. But I don't think I'd ever transition into using a mac/apple product as a primary computing device. If I could pick up a cheap Mac Mini, I probably would, but that's about it. I guess I'm sorta a Microsoft fanboy (I've a Lumia 820, and a Surface Pro 2), but I can appreciate linux and OSX as having their uses. I just currently don't really have enough uses for them to actively run them (or chase down a cheap mini). I must say, I am looking forward to Windows 10. So much cool stuff. Windows 10 on phones will actually be able to sorta function as Windows on a Phone - plug it up to a screen, bluetooth in a keyboard/mouse, and then use do stuff in Word, with it looking like it were on a PC. Also, curious to see how the app stuff goes with their work making android, iOS and standard windows program code compilable to Win Apps.

10th doctor would probably be my favorite. 2nd series (Tennant and Piper) was the best, in my opinion. Best thing about Tennant? Gadgets. He always had some new gadget that didn't quite work. The Easter special? 'Ooh, it turns' as the radar starts working. Why season 2 (of the revised series)? I like how he worked with Rose, and thought that as a whole, it was the best written series so far (Well, wasn't so fond of the London Olympics one, or the one with the Wire). That's not to say there weren't great episodes in the other series, but I think season 2 had most of what I'd call 'great' episodes. Matt Smith was also pretty cool. He was fun, and Clara was probably my favourite companion. She went on day trips, rather than an impromptu vacation, and I liked that. Amy and Rory were not too bad either. Not super fond of Capaldi, but I really think that's more because I dislike the way Moffat's written the last season or so. Much preferred RTD as the show runner, I think. Moffat was better at writing once off episodes. Blink was obviously a gem, and I quite enjoyed the Silence in the Library double. Doomsday was and it's pair was a great finale to season 2. After that, thing's escalated out of control.

I commented on the last update about it. But a coin or a set of dice should be cheaper to ship than 200 page book. EDIT: And it appears Howard answered. Yes, postage, details later, basically. We'll see I guess. -
Been trying to build up a board game collection over the last year. Re: Co-op games - Have Forbidden Desert, Pandemic, and Flash Point. Thus far Flash Point's been my favorite - my sister and I find Forbidden Desert and Pandemic a bit predictable, though we've not played a whole lot of either game. They are easier with just two players, but even when we've had 3-4, we only had a bit of trouble with Forbidden Desert, and that's was only until we worked out what we did wrong the game we lost. Maybe we just got lucky draws in the handful of games we played, dunno. Flash Point felt a bit more immersive, so if we were to pull out a co-op game it'd that. Oh, and there's Escape: The curse of the Temple. Now that is quite some fun. Betrayal games: BSG: The boardgame, Saboteur, The Resistance (plus expansions). Unfortunately only been able to have one game of BSG, and card's weren't shuffled well. Basically had no conflict. Need to play that more. Otherwise, The Resistance is lots of fun, and Saboteur works nicely - you don't reliably have a traitor, and the game encourages everyone to backstab each other - the first player to the end gets the most stuff. You have the nice balance of 'I want to be first to the finish' with 'if we mess each other over enough, the traitor will get everything'. Love Letter is a nice little filler game - name/theme has nothing to do with the mechanics, really, but it's the mechanics which are cool. There are a number of cool themed variants too (Hobbit, Batman, few others I think). Now, what I'm looking forward to is a pair of games I kickstarted - Asking for Trobils and Viceroy. Those should be hopefully be here in the next week or so.

Yeah, I'm pledging, though only for the PDF - Australian Dollar plus shipping makes things annoyingly to expensive for me to justify pledging much higher. Will maybe gets some addons, provided that's an option with the pdf (and provided shipping isn't too dear either). Also hoping for the 70 maxims book (and hoping PDF is an option) -

Kurk, cos when I first arrived here, I read a whole tone of Cosmere theorising. He was very prominent (or at least had theories on all the cool things I was curious about - have you solved FTL travel yet Kurk?). Chaos/KChan/Moru/Coma - Members over on the MBI, which is where I've spent the majority of my time prior to now, since joining. And then I guess the SE mods/peoples, cos I've just spent, you know, a fornight reading a bunch of stuff over there.

Quick Fix Game 7: Living (and Dying) Rough
Haelbarde replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Unfortunately for me, my first analysis was built on the premise that I could extract information from the write up. It just happened that the lot of you voted on the person to get lynched (actually being the majority... yay for lawmen controlling lynches, I guess). My final analysis was better though. Apart from Clanky. Bother Clanky. Gut feeling did not help me that time. But thanks. You were all worthy opponents (well, obviously. You won), and I enjoyed the game. Also, Kas. Were you trying to imply anything by calling me M'Hael? I didn't feel like I was (WoT spoiler) .- 287 replies

Earlier that day Rab woke with a start. I'm... not dead? He checked his watch. 2 pm. He must have dozed off. "That was the weirdest dream... What with Lawmen and scoundrels and all. Seems I'm all still here though." This was mostly to no one. Seemed there wasn't anyone else around. He checked his pockets. Yup, still had his Lawman badge, and he still had his masking tape doctors badge on the front of his coat. Really need to get a fancier badge at some point. Then he remember Piffington's promise of a stethoscope. Maybe I'll go find him, see if actually he is going to give me a stethoscope, poisoned or otherwise, or if I was just imagining things.- 96 replies

Rab had hoped no one had notice his glare, but he notice that the queen had. So then he closed his eyes. And sneeze. Maybe that'll work? A glare's not sooooo dissimilar to pulling a face trying not to sneeze, is it? He hoped it wasn't.

Quick Fix Game 7: Living (and Dying) Rough
Haelbarde replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Preface: I feel like parts of this, particularly in relation to Joe, are built from my own fears of what people could be planning. I've built a case against him, but its based on things he has opportunity to do in the position he's in. It's not built on what I'd consider hard evidence. The purpose of this post is to put all my thoughts and concerns out in the open, so that I can offer part of my opinion in the next round should I die. This is me having a think about 'What if Spencer is telling the truth? What if The Only Joe was a lawman?' Apologies in advanced if this is the sort of thing that you just don't do. I didn't know, I'm new to this. First off. I want to make it clear that in all this, it is Winter I trust. (I am going to be so annoyed if you're a lawman, Winter) I've never felt certain about The Only Joe. Winter seems to agree with Joe, so I'm going along with it. Please don't prove me wrong Joe. Now, what I want to do here is to comment on my own personal suspicions on who I can trust and who I cannot. I also want to write out a consideration of the information, should it turn out spencer is indeed a scoundrel tineye. I do not really expect to make it to the next round, though particularly not after this post. In case I don't make it, I would like to have contributed to the discussion for the next cycle, and in some way assist any scoundrels to move to the next cycle. So. Let's say spencer gets lynched this turn. We find out one of two things: He's a scoundrel, and thus presumably a tineye, and this means Joe is a lawman. He's a lawman, and then presumable Joe is indeed a scoundrel. If Spencers a lawmen, then chances are I'll make it to next round. Maybe. I'd expect one of Joe, Winter, or myself to fall. Two if the lawmen have the smoking gun. In this case, Joe's suspicions are probably fairly accurate regarding the lawman. Regardless, we win ourselves another cycle. Not too concerned about how the next cycle goes if this happens. But now let us consider the possibility that spencer is telling the truth. It puts the content of Joe's analysis post entirely in question. It flips it on its head even. Suddenly those in red are more likely to be scoundrels, and those in black and green more likely to be lawmen. Probably. There is the possibility he could have put a fellow lawman as red, to sacrifice them next cycle potentially, and prove his innocence. Spoiler tags to save space. Note that I've coloured the names based on who I trust and don't trust. I think most of them reflect my thoughts either way (if Spencer is scoundrel or not), apart from The Only Joe, who I'll probably trust if spencers a lawman, and who I won't if spencer is not. So my thoughts? I don't really trust Lightsworn Panda at all. Wouldn't be too surprised if Joe ended up a lawman, but I can't prove it or anything. Unfortunately for spencer, I feel we get the most information from his death. There. Long post, sorry. Joe, if you're good, then sorry if this totally derails your work. Primarily, this is me putting everything I have into this space so that if I don't make it to the next cycle, others can review my thoughts. It also serves as an alternate analysis should you turn out evil, or even just another opinion. One last thought. Killing Spencer gives us piece of mind. If he's an eliminator, then we finally got one. If he's not, then we've positively ID'd one. The only thing is that we then have used up a kill failing to remove an eliminator. EDIT: To be clear - I'm not decided on Joe atm, and I think we need kill of Spencer as it should either net us a lawman dead, or tell us someone who is. It gives us real information, rather than just a chance of finally lynching an eliminator. EDIT 2: Wyrm. You better not be trolling us by making the two characters who name themselves suspicious, and the underestimated lawman, lawmen...- 287 replies
