  1. Do not worry skaa, you are among friends.
  2. Ergo, Kaladin and Szeth will end up in a breath holding competition, the first one to (stop) g(l)o(wing) purple dies. Sure they'll do it while engaging in a mind bending acrobatic battle for all time. But ultimately, it'll be a breath holding competition.
  3. I will read form the beginning, however, I daresay that I'll pull a Semi Cheese Ninja (reread the previously released at an elevated rate (not full on skimming, but pretty break neck)). Almost there Stay on target Stay on target
  4. Master, don't know if it was intentional on your part, but I've just seen something I can not pass up. Time to get your The Clash on: Shallan don't like it Rock and Jasnah Rock and Jasnah Edited for double puntasms
  5. Disclaimer, I ain't no pysicist so maybe overlooking things, this is a laymans take. Your arguments are sound (and I agree with your assessment) but WRT to 2) above, your argument is only valid if the force level of gravity imbued in the stone is of a less than the force level of Rock's pull towards Roshar. In round numbers, say Rock has a mass of 100kg (220lbs) and the stone 453g (1lb) give you a bit of volume (167cm3, 10in3) to hang off (assuming Quartz (or varient (SG:2.7)). Roshars gravity is 0.8 of earth, therefore, std gravity has a value of 7.84ms-2 (26.5fts-2). Therefore the force pulling Rock towards Roshar, his weight is 784Nm (578ftlbs). If the gravitiational force imbued in the stone excedes that, it should hold him, nominally >221G. Which admittedly is a lot.
  6. +1'd TV Plot! That would be sweet, especailly if it happened more than once, they could go around solving mysteries and stuff! Almost like episodes of Quantum Leap. Seriously though I like
  7. Does that mean nine of these surges are kind of the same?
  8. Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play?
  9. The reason I raised this was mostly people seemd to be going Stormform - Highstorm. I see Stormform - Everstorm. Also, we don't know what kicks a desolation off in the first place. We know some of the signals it is coming - Heralds appear out of thin air, a uptake in spen bonding action. A super massive high storm brought about by the Parshendi might just be the signal for kick off.
  10. Interesting. Might also link through to the Shin wanting soul cast metal. I know they have a thing about destroying rocks, ore beneficiation / smelting destroy most things, but what if by the very act of soul casting metal invested it to a degree as well? To answer your questions: 1) By your argument, it follows that this would be the case. 2) Prefer the idea of runes to incantations.
  11. I don't think she'll panic, she's as cool as a cucmber in bowl of hot sauce. I'm more interested in seeing whether Syl goes for Pattern's throat, or vice versa.
  12. I thought that a Parshman was a Parshendi in dull form?
  13. From the mind that brought you, the Everstorm is a long way off and other preposterous hypotheses comes the newest, wildest speculation yet. For many moons, the Parshendi knew only two forms, Dull and Mating. I propose that the other forms were forgotten on purpose as the Parshendi of old knew that when enough of them entered stormform, a desolation occured. And that Mating was only remembered to ensure the survival of the species. The secret of Stormform has since been rediscovered and consequently, there will be a debate amongst the Parshendi as to whether to adopt it, with Eshonai (as a human lover and a fighter) being the dominant voice against. These debates will be deadlocked over the ~58 odd days that are left (of the 62). Towards the end, T minus 1 or thereabouts, there will either be a major battle over the central plateau where Eshonai will die, or she will murdered at the hands of Sadeas during an attempt at diplomacy. Either way, the shard and plate that she has will be lost, she is their last shardbearer. The surviving Parshendi will unilaterally pass the stormform motion and in the process become voidbringers and/or, summon . . . . . . . The Skajaquada. Or a desolation / Everstorm. Most likely not the Skajaquada.
