  1. He's a kandra. Can't recall which Blessings he ended up with, but never less, shape shifter.
  2. *coughs inconspicuously, spinning a pointy metal bar between two fingers"
  3. No. Never tried.
  4. We do not want you to leave. Join us. Join the hivemind.
  5. Some thick, some heavy, some wide, some thin, I made not what was needed but what was beautiful.
  6. I can't remember the name, but the creatures that the gas workers at Alcatraz's secret hideout crew hay to keep away?
  7. Welcome to the 17th Shard. Simplicity? What's simplicity?
  8. Oh yeah! And bad jokes! And probably math, given that his real name seems to be an equation or complex ratio.
  9. All right, deconstruction: Phillip refers to phillips head screwdriver, one of the most common kinds But it's capitalized, either a red herring or a name - person, place, or crimson halibut? You can get a phillips head screwdriver in just about any civilized place, so this refers to the middle of nowhere - something you find in the middle of nowhere / far away from Phillip? Conclusion: I'm confused, hungry, and tired, and have no idea what I'm talking about.
  10. By the way, what can Pattern do? - Decoding - Unlocking - Illusion-anchor - Voice-imitation - Manipulating small objects - Reconnaissance Anything else?
  11. Or, you know, awaken something that isn't a weapon. What about a pot Commanded to Feed People? Would that consume Investiture to create food?
  12. That sounds like an awesome, and much more manageable, game. I'd love to see that as an Android app.
  13. You'd probably get a sword with all of Kaladin's compunctions about killing to protect and no handy emotions or reason to get around it.
  14. Thunderclast trying to rise from a cut granite slab slightly too small for it?
  15. I realised something, today. Hemalurgy is an entire magic system that boils down to stabbing people then stabbing yourself, as quickly as possible, in pre-germ theory eras. How does everyone that uses this not have a hundred blood-born illnesses? Inquisitors, for example: they can have up to 22 pieces of bloody metal shoved through their vital organs. If they have anything like a circulatory system anymore, they're infected. Even Spook, upon receiving his Hemalurgic upgrade, was at risk, though he had just the one, and was burning pewter afterwards. I can see how Vin would be OK - her earring was on her for years. Still, people! Come on! Let's just call this art "Magic Needle Sharing" and be done with it! Let me tell you, next time I steal part of the soul of a child, I'm washing the thing with soap and water then putting it in an oven for an hour before I spike myself. HIV is not for me.
  16. That sounds quite unsanitary.
  17. Man, I've got so much Hemalurgically charged metal in me that when you stab me, sparks fly. Not that I have any Allomancy. I've been trying to recapture my inner child, you see.
  18. That's some nice beige text
  19. Dawnsinger at 1800!
  20. Assuming Hoid knows the trick to stealing metalminds, you could probably sell that to him for his store of Breath. Wikipedia alone would be enough. Theoryland, containing every Brandon interview, would be some sort of bible. 17th Shard would be something like every edition ever of the Annals Theological*. *does not exist, probably.
  21. Not if it was irrelevant to the plot, their personalities, or the magic system in general. Still, it's something to ask Brandon.
