  1. I just hope I sent in my bid before anyone else And just in case there is some emotimancy, I'm gonna vote for Phatt. There have really been 3 decisions made by people in this game, and thus only really 4 people that should be voted for. There is myslef, who voted first and started this whole mess. There are Mailliw and Ostrich, who sold their votes, and thus did something public that can be analyzed, and then there is Phatt, who voted for the guy that started the entire productive discussion for the whole game. So I suggest that people take theri pick from that list of 4 people and vote wisely. Edit: Not fixing the seplling error
  2. You want to kill the person that began the lynch discussion? I implore you dear fellow, look to they day 1 discussion of any game and you will see that players like Meta are almost always in favor of a day 1 lynch. It does seem as if Jain isn't going to show up. Now, the only person that makes sense for me to vote for is phatt, since he wants me dead and is disregarding the whole randomness factor. However, if I vote for somebody else then I could create a 2-way tie. I'll leave things as they are and see what happens. When does the cycle end?
  3. The thing with Atium is while it was a part of Ruin, Preservation was able to block it from being accessible by Ruin through the creation of the Pots of Hathsin. (Hence like the whole HoA plot) If Sazed actually reclaimed that power, then Harmony would contain more Ruin than preservation. While this may have happened, I instead tend to think that Sazed left that bit of power separate from himself to keep the balance between the two shards from shifting to something that causes the end of the world. What form that power is in could probably be changed, but I think Sazed could create a repository of Atium if he wanted to. One aside is that some Lerasium accumulated at the Well, which was preservation's shardpool. If Sazed left the shardpools intact then both god metals will probably leak out in some small amount, if not as quickly as at the Pits.
  4. I guess I should lay out all the points about sleeping that have been brought to the table that I think are important, and if I leave anything out then just tell me. This should summarize all of the thought I have had and/or that I have been convinced of by other players: 1) You have to sleep to vote 2) We can't tell who hasn't slept from the outcome of the vote unless the vote is solitary 3) Anyone who proclaims to have not slept doesn't have serious weight in the lynch discussion unless they make crazy comments 4) Some people (those trying to become savants/looking for items/some feruchemists) have legitimate reasons to do 3 actions every night. 5) We find spiked through the lynch discussion primarily, with some supplements from seeking roles and PMs 6) If enough of the village is active, it can control the lynch even with votes that don't exist Pewter is always nice So, there are obviously some people that are going to avoid sleeping. Also, time bubbles can cause problems for people that get unlucky. If there are too many of these people, then the spiked can control the lynch by misguiding a couple of well-slept villagers without us really being able to point fingers very well. The other problem is if we have around 10 or so of these people and they just claim to have not slept. At that point we don't have much reason to ask for their input/whatever they do doesn't have any real force behind it. Currently, we are having a combination of the two problems. Last cycle, 9 votes were placed, and only 6 counted. That means that only 1/3 of the remaining players took part in discussion and committed to a lynch, and 1/3 of those were just faking. I'm actually surprised that the spiked haven't tried to do anything with that, since beating a 3-vote margin is laughably easy with 25+ players remaining in the game. Actually, I'm surprised that Honey hasn't tried anything at this point either. With a paragraph long defense and some reasoning against another player, this lynch isn't really settled yet, especially since we don't know how many of the votes placed are actually going to count. Also, I'm fine taking one for the team, so Honey Badger. If I die, the AG had amazing dead doc discussions so I'll be happy there, and maybe send my cognitive shadow to cause some mayhem now and then.
  5. Not sleeping is, as you say, not a crime. And perhaps I overemphasized the importance of sleeping, but both this cycle and last cycle that served as a good starting point for conversation. I guess my main problem stems from what you said, that people are openly revealing in the thread that they have not slept! That is a really easy way for the spiked to avoid most of the lynch discussion and get away free. If people were participating, placing votes, and then saying by the end of the day that they felt it was best not to place a vote, or putting a vote that doesn't count somewhere where it won't confuse things, that would be great. But claiming to not have slept and then trying to actively participate in conversation is too close to walking the line that the spiked probably are aiming for. Just a couple of things: If we assume the 20% rule, and our dead fit that ratio, so it could still apply, then spiked actions are 5 times more valuable to that alignment than twinborn actions are to the village. So in my opinion, any one spiked is more likely to avoid sleeping than any one villager.
  6. Well, it seems that multiple people think Clanky is innocent, so Yeah. I'm not going to put in a replacement vote, but I would like to hear from Kandra Skrull why you think that not sleeping is suspicious. Already several people have been unable to vote, so instead of 5 different people with votes on them there are now 2.
  7. Well, we can probably assume that Ostrich is a villager, since he got attacked by the hemalurgists. I'll start out the day with a vote on Clanky. You voted for Jain, yet your vote didn't count, and it is unlikely that you would have been soothed, which instead implies that you didn't sleep. I'm still holding to my opinion that sleeping benefits the village more than the spiked, so lets have a start to the discussion. Edit: I would vote for Honey Badger as well, but I only have 1 available.
  8. The only thing that I can think of is that the reason lifeless work is that breaths want to make things become human-like. So you probably would need some extra breaths to get a horse to be a lifeless as opposed to a human corpse.
  9. Well, there hasn't been tons of activity to base our discussions off of. But Winter hasn't slept which is far more beneficial to the spiked than it is to the village, regardless of which team she is actually on. Confusion about votes lets the spiked slip emotimancy by us and hurts the margins of the lynch. In a normal game, having a margin of 3 or 4 would pretty much ensure the lynch to go through. But now, we probably need around 5, and the spiked could mess with the confidence level there by not sleeping and voting for the lynchee. Edit: @Alvron I did miss that in your post, but my response was also supposed to be a bit sarcastic I guess we need to use more emoticons or something. Anyway, does anyone know a good parallel to molehills on Scadrial?
  10. I voted for Winter because votes don't really mean much when there is only one on any given person. Also, quick succession and 2.5 hours aren't really the same thing. I don't think Scadrial has moles, but somebody is making an ashmount out of a molehill. I think a person not sleeping is against the best interests of the village. Personally, I propose that we lynch anyone that refuses to sleep each night since the eliminators are going to be able to use extra actions much more efficiently for their goals than we can, and if we catch a bunch of people not voting in sequence then we have found the spiked.
  11. But see, it only helps the spiked to be unsure about the results of the vote. If there aren't enough people to put pressure on somebody then we should change tactics next cycle, but keeping track of who slept is just another opportunity for us to catch the spiked in a lie. I'm going to vote for Winter. That puts some pressure on since we now have a potential lynch this cycle. Also, Winter didn't sleep last night, which is 1) A good excuse for the spiked to avoid social interaction and 2) a sneaky way to store extra feruchemy charges behind the rest of our backs. Edit: Why does b and ) change to a smiley? Its bothersome when making lists....
