  1. Hm. I'm crap at editing and proper grammar and all that jazz, so I probably won't be of much help in that regard. But I liked it. Was definitely an interesting little read. I'm obviously way more suited towards Huge, epic long series of novels, so short stories and things like this are definitely not my forte to judge as accurately. Because I want to know the big answers. Who's Angela? What happened? How did he split himself like that, exactly? And what did he use to replace the missing part and reforge himself back together? But I feel like the point of the short format is to keep things like that purposely vague, so I'm cool with that. Let us make our own decisions as to why/how. Also, I think I just enjoyed it mostly because of Twitch Plays Pokemon. All those thousands of different voices, telling you to do completely different things. Must be maddening. PRAISE LORD HELIX!
  2. Gamut had just finished another round of the Village, making sure all was silent in the Mists. The ever present, oppressive mists, spinning and twisting in random, swirling patterns. Gamut could almost swear he saw a silhouette of a body outlined in the mists, but when he turned his head for a better look it was gone. Flaring Iron for so long was starting to do odd things to Gamut's mind. The blue lines springing away from him, towards any source of metal, were his constant companions. He was even able to start detecting faint lines just pointing right at people who weren't even wearing metal. Gamut didn't know what that was all about, but he hoped it would give him a strong enough edge in the night to come. The Trust might have had great success so far, but there was still at least one more Spiked out there. Gamut stood on top of the Smithy for a few more minutes, vigilantly watching over the town of Blackwater. A small blue line popped up from in the distance, moving in quick, fluid arcs. Good thing I'm not the only one, Gamut thought to himself, and decided to head back to Lurcher's, which he had just made his new base of operations. When he walked in the door, he noticed new footsteps tracked through the dust, right up to where he had hid his journal. The entire book was gone.
  3. I also wouldn't mind taking a crack at a Wheel of Time based Elimination game. There's tons of potential stuff there to use. (I'm just going to stick to the Mistborn type roles we have already established, or as much as possible, for now) These are some I thought of for now... Thief-Catcher: You smell the scent of evil and crime, and you hunt criminals down to their lairs. You can Follow somebodies trail once per night and find out their Role and Alignment. Darkfriend: Shows up as a Villager, and is technically one, but knows who all of the Forsaken are, (or whoever the 'Mafia' faction are), and wins if they Win. Chaneller: During the game you can Bond somebody to be your Warder. They are notified of it, and if the Chaneller dies, the Warder goes into a death-rage and can target and kill somebody the next night cycle and then die. Maybe give Chanellers some other power they can use until they Bond somebody, too. Aiel: You are an Aiel. Forged and shaped by the Three Fold Land. You are not like the weak wetlanders. You are tougher than that. You can survive one attack per game. Your Role is revealed, but not your alignment. Dream-walker. The world of Dreams are yours to freely roam. Once per night you can act as a messenger, and allow two people to send PMs until the next Night Cycle. (I dunno, Meta did say something about other GMs not usually letting such free access to PMs between everybody. But I dunno. Balance issues? Wisdom: You dedicate your life to medicine and saving people. Once per night you can target somebody to Protect from death. Wolfbrother: The Moon and the Pack call to you. Every night you must join your brothers and go hunting. Target somebody to kill every night. Ta'averen: The Pattern Bends to your Will. During the Day Cycle you can negate somebodies vote, or negate yours and change their vote completely. (Tried doing some blend of Rioting/Soothing. Any ideas for balance? Padan Fain: Tainted by the Corruption of Shadar Logoth, you are some new form of evil entirely. Once per night you can convert somebody to your new evil faction, and once you all outnumber the other remaining players, you win. Lord: During the Day Cycle, the Villagers can elect somebody to be a Lord, and their vote counts as Two for the Lynching as long as they are Lord. And then there's still tons of possible other stuff, too. What do you guys think?
  4. Hey. When you play the Game of Elimination, you either Win, or you Die.
  5. But you know we caught him red-handed, slinking through the mists before. He murdered in the mists and wrote messages on the Lurcher's floor.
  6. You played a good game though still, Clan. At least you'll die with dignity. Is it possible for us to maybe end the Day Cycle early? Maybe give a little bit more time for a few more votes, but I don't see anybody raising any major objections to us lynching Clan at this point... "Those likeable bastards," Gamut found himself saying. "Those are the worst kind. When you kill them, you end up feeling guilty for it."
  7. One of the images in the book is a picture of the Bridgemen tatoo glyphs, and it's signed Nazh, saying something along the lines that he had to stare at them for hours to make sure he got it right. And then there's the ardent trying to look at the tattoos of the Bridgemen in one of Kaladin's chapters. So we're pretty sure the Ardent is Nazh's in-book appearance. Now as to why he spent so much time copying those, and getting them right, and whoever he's collecting the information for... I don't think we have a clue. But some suspect Khriss (sp?), or the WoB mentioned Terriswomen worldhopper as who Nazh is working for. Also worth noting we suspect Nazh has at least spent a good bit of time on Threnody, the Shadows for Silence Cosmere short story, by the usage of "Shadows" as a curse in one of the other images. (Or at least I suspect him of having at least spending time there, if not a native)
  8. Edit: Woot! I'm a Ghostblood now!
  9. Was going to do some cool RP, but the faster this gets out there the better. Goodbye, Clan, the Spiked Tineye. Edit: Now for some Roleplay Gamut landed with a light thump on the rooftop, Pulling on a metal latch behind him as an anchor to slow his descent. The night had been terribly long, the Mists lingering way past normal hours, the sun refusing to rise. Not until the Iron Price was paid. There was a sound as somebody landed behind Gamut, and he cursed as he wildly spun around, reaching for another vial of Iron and raising his shield to ward of any attack. No use. It was the other Ironborn, of course. "The Seeker is safe." He said, and Gamut let out a sigh. "But there's something else," he continued, "I got a glimpse of the attacker. It was the Tineye, Clan." Gamut wanted to say he was surprised, but with how things were going, it only made sense. He let out his breath that he was startled to find himself holding. "Aye. There's only one thing to do, then. Good work." And with that, Gamut turned and started burning his Iron, getting ready to jump off and head to the town square and let everybody know. The red sun, a deep crimson color, began to creep over the horizon, burning away the mists and ash began to slowly drift down from the sky. Today was going to be a day for blood.
  10. Bahaha. That's not ominous, or anything.
  11. The blue Alethi war uniform is really going to clash with Adolin's glowing red eyes....
  12. Woot! Thanks for who asked my "How much Stormlight Equals 1 Breath?" question! I saw someone else's signing report where they asked that too, and he said he might have to canonize the ratio if people keep asking about it. Keep pestering asking him! Sizgil demands a means to quantify stormlight!
  13. Gamut fell to his knees and screamed. "Why, Mists, have you forsaken me! Without the title, how can I claim myself Hero of (P)Ages?! What am I do to now?!"
  14. "Thank you for the help, last night." Gamut whispered to a shadow in the mists. "I knew I couldn't do this alone." "Worry not, my friend," the shadow laughed. "For we are Ironborn. And What is dead may never die." "What is dead may never die." Repeated Gamut. "Go get Selvar, let him know the Seeker has called another meeting. There is work to be done tonight." "Aye. We'll make them Spiked pay the Iron Price." And with that, the figure leaped off into the mists, being pulled along invisible blue lines. Gamut still had a full night's work to do himself, and there were villagers to go save. OOC: So, if I end up dying tonight, I want you all to fear not. Selvar has been Seeked and verified, and will be the messenger for the Seeker. But I don't think I'm going anywhere anytime soon. Also, I'm a little hurt nobody cracked my code! I spend all that hard time, and Maw quits halfway through. Unfair . If I give you a hint will you keep trying to crack it??
  15. Just to straighten up what Vizinni said, I wouldn't necessarily call what me and him been talking about 'plotting'. I've really only asked him for his Role, and how to use it once or twice, being as vague as possible as to why I'm having him do that. So, if that's 'plotting since the beginning of the game', then yeah, I guess me and Vizinni have been scheming things up. Same with Xaneth before he died, we only shared a few PMs, mostly about his Role and how to use it. To be clear: There are only a few, select people that I will actually "vouch" for, and that's because they have been Seeked and Verified. But obviously I am not going to disclose their names to the Public, to keep them safe from the Spiked.
  16. I think Meta already asked for the time extension, but yeah the discussion is going very good right now, this is making it harder for the Spiked to hide. And yes, for today's vote cycle, I will be telling Joe who to Soothe. I think he just voted for Mabi because I did. I didn't retract my vote for Mabi because I don't suspect her, she has just as much chance of being Spiked as the rest of you. I just saw there was a slight bandwagon going towards the vote for her, and I wanted to avoid that. If there were 5 votes up for Mabi, I'd doubt there would be as much discussion taking place.
  17. My top question would definitely be along the lines of "So it appears Stormlight can be substituted for Breaths, so can we quantify Stormlight with Breaths? How much Stormlight would equal 1 Breath?"
  18. Just blame it on you getting new to this new incarnation, Selvar. That said, I am withdrawing my vote from Mabi. I only threw her name out to get some discussion going, not a bandwagon. I would like her to come and defend herself, still, because the more we have everybody talking the better, obviously.
  19. Gamut was amused at Maw's attempts to solve his code. He may have solved those random string of numbers, but it looked like the hidden contents of his journal were safe for now. Too bad one of the Tineyes didn't manage to get the entire page in one piece, Gamut remarked to himself, and shook his head. Despite his raised spirits, after the success of last night, Gamut had a grim task to set to; accusing and hanging another Villager. "Before we keep adding more votes onto Mabi, we should let her come and defend herself. Let's make sure we let everybody have a fair say." And with that, Gamut strode off to go raid the Lurcher's Inn for any remaining liquor.
  20. Eh, screw it. Mabi She's been on the chopping block enough as it is, already. Might as well go on and get done with it. And nice try, Maw. You'll never crack my code!
  21. Ok, let's actually take advantage of this Day Cycle. We need to start discussing our Suspicions, getting everybody talking out in the open, that's the best way to catch the remaining Spiked at this point. There's only probably 2 left at this point, so they're basically going to do their best to hide and avoid any and all suspicion. So we can't let that happen. I have quite a few suspects, but right now I am leaning towards Alon, a little bit. I obviously want to give him a chance to defend himself here in the thread, so I do not want anybody tossing any votes on him because of me just voicing suspicion of him. Anybody else who has any ideas or suspects, now is the time to come forward and voice those thoughts.
  22. Still not hip on how do to the whole link-with-text thingy, but the song Acid Rain by Liquid Tension Experiment (side project of Dream Theatre members) is a pretty storming epic song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sA079BM0MuM So, like this? Edit: Woot. Did it, I think.Thank you!
  23. Well, I haven't watched the last part of the Brotherhood Anime, but if it stays to the same as the ending of the Manga, I dunno. I was just a little disappointed by a few things. FMA Spoilers:
