  1. Peace had come upon the small village of Blackwater, it had been over a year since the bloodshed had torn the town apart, and almost everything was back to normal, the mists weren't acting strangely and the day and nights were regular length. Gamut's spirit looked out over the town, now silent after Chidden, the young hero's, departure for grand adventures. He tried to move on, to into the Realm of Spirits he had gotten glimpses of in his death, but there was some sort of force preventing him from going forward. Some sort of force preserving him in this form. So Gamut's spirit did what it knew best, instinctively, it watched after the Villagers, keeping them safe in the night. A wind seemed to sigh through the night, carrying with it a faint whisper. What is dead may never die....
  2. What if I add in if the Cult Leader dies, so do the rest of them? And I probably will set a cap on how many people can be converted. Should I throw in the chance of people retaining their powers or losing them? So that way it's basically the same as Inquisitor vs Mafia vs Town. Also, what do you think of the Channeler role? I'm not sure of the Warder bond, because people getting Bonded against their will would probably really suck for them.
  3. Here's some revised(ish) roles I've thought up for WoT Elimination. With enough people, and the right balanced number of Roles, I think this could work. Edit: Some tweaking and balancing, I hope. And not all of these roles will guaranteed be used, just possible ideas.
  4. Well, let it not be said that Gamut isn't a man of his word, so here it is, straight from Joe. Congratulations on the Win VIllage! Joe was the Last Spiked! OOC:Wish I had a little bit of a more eloquent death, but alas, this is good enough for me. (Although I am definitely putting it down on the Score Sheet as a Win & Survival Now, that's just Joe's write-up of how this will go down. If Peng wants to post an official one where I live, and/or Joe gets keelhauled, I am perfectly okay with that. Edit: removed since Joe posted his write-up himself.
  5. Here. I'll be generous and give you this offer. In Forage's cellar, I have found a hidden door, that with Chid's Seeking abilities he was able to track down due to it giving off strange pulses, unknown to his Allomantic Senses. We acquired the help of Meta, the eccentric Detective who we knew had Steel Pushing abilities. See, we found strange mechanisms inside the door, strange gear works with mysterious runes and glyphs that required being Pushed on certain areas, and Pulled on others. But we couldn't work for fear of being found out, with the heavy amounts of Allomancy that was required. So we enlisted the help of Selvar, the Doctor and Smoker of the Village. He kept us copper-clouded, letting us work in safety. Eventually we unlocked the first layer, but it was a booby trap. Poisonous smoke began to fill the chamber and we had to retreat. We knew we needed the help of Dane, the Fake Noble, but we knew him for his real identity, a terris-blooded Gold Feruchemist. His stored health allowed him to safely work inside the Chamber and disperse the gas so we could work in safety once more. But then we reached another problem, for the revealed surface was laden with even stranger runes and had a rough, illegible texture. We required the help of a Tineye. Maw, the by-day farmer, and by-night Tineye decoder was perfect for the job. In no time at all he had deciphered the cryptic message and we found the key. I give you this final offer, Spiked, if there is indeed one more of you out there. With the key we were able to open a door into another World. An Unknown world. It looks bleak, and cold, and there's a glimmering Wall of Ice hundreds of feet high in the distance. We do not know what lies there. But we give you this chance. Flee. Maybe your Crimes can even be forgiven there. Leave this town with your life intact. Be gone and leave your Old Master and your failed mission behind. Let the needless bloodshed end, and get out while you still can. Reveal yourself now and take our offer, for the Mists will not be so kind tonight. OOC: I think you Spiked did a great job of staying off the Radar of suspicions. Most of our Seeking hits were mostly guesses, and my lurches mostly luck. oh, and technically, Meta could still be the Ironborn. I don't think I ever explicitly called him a Lurcher. I just called him Ironborn and said he flew along blue lines that connected to metal.
  6. "I, Gamut, first of my name, Ironborn Lurcher and Mayor Candidate of the Village of Blackwater, do sentence Joe the Soother to be keelhauled until death, as is the only punishment for a traitor so heinous." If people wanted Gamut to act the Lord, he would do it. But he knew in his heart he wouldn't last long. He had too much blood on his own hands to be comfortable leading. He had condemned too many innocents to death in his reckless drive to save the town. And he couldn't even sure if there was another one out there or not! But, for right now, he knew what he had to do. He looked over at Chidden, standing on top of tables and praising Gamut for his hard work, and smiled to himself. The little scamper was the true hero, despite what he said. Without him, none of the Villagers success would have been possible. Gamut looked down at the small object he had pulled out of his pocket. It was a tiny, empty vial. It was of course full when he had purchased it from Forage before the merchant had died. Gamut looked at the last few drops in the vial, tiny beads the color of molten gold. Maybe he was some sort of Worldhopper, afterall. I mean, who ever heard of some crazy potion that brought the drinker incredible luck?
  7. I said you can take me out with you Joe during the vote, Joe. But remember. What is dead may never die! And even if there is one more Spiked left... the game is over the next day cycle anyway. So no point in prolonging the inevitable. Just my two boxings.
  8. Well, my last Gambit worked. With unsuccessful results from last nights actions, we were left with only Joe, Mabi, and Lents as possible suspects. So, I PM'd all three of you letting you know we successfully Seeked you as the Spiked last night. This was a lie. But we knew at least one of you would either straight up confess, or make it easier to determine who it was. Thank you, Joe, for confessing. You did have most of us convinced in the Trust you were clean, so good job on that. I apologize for all the innocents that were taken out by the Trusts actions, but Coinshooting suspects was another way we had to 'verify' peoples roles... just in a more permanent way. Your sacrifices were not in vain, and with everyone's help we were able to finally get a Villager Win. Great job, everybody! P.S. I was the only Lurcher the entire game. Edit: I also told Joe that at the end of the Vote, his character can kill/take me out with him. I'm totally cool with going out Martyr style. I mean, what else is there for Gamut to do after this? You either die a Hero, or live long enough to become a villain. Double Edit: Obviously, if the game doesn't end with Joe, I won't let my character be officially killed. But I'll die for RP reasons and have my Spirit linger around, carrying out my final actions.
  9. This thread has more shtick than you can shake a stick at.
  10. Major upvotes to the first person to get Brandon to autograph a Stick for them.
  11. Gammer was amused by all the bustling activity. She was sitting off by her lonesome at her usual spot, a small bench nestled underneath the shade of a giant fan-leafed tree -- she wasn't sure what the locals called them -- she just knew it was a comfy spot. It was conveniently located to provide a direct line of sight to the Red Salmon, and even down the street she could see the activity out in front of the Green Potato. And this used to be such a quiet neighborhood, Gammer thought to herself. She knew all too well what would start happening next. You didn't get to be her age without being able to see all the signs. She just sighed to herself and continued her embrodery. She wasn't sure what it was going to be, yet, but she knew it was going to be her masterpiece. It involved all shades of Austres grand spectrum, using the complexities and subtleties of colour that only one with Perfect Colour Recognition would be able to appreciate. Or at least she hoped so, it was hard to tell without enough Breaths to even reach the First Heightening. She didn't have those anymore. For now.
  12. Gamut jumped down into the Town Square in front of the now abandoned inn, a large shadow descending from the mists itself. He quickly fished a letter out of his pocket and tacked it up on the front of the building before vanishing back into the mists just as fast. He still had important work to do tonight. The note that was posted on Lurcher's Inn read:
  13. Gamut stood alone in the mists, the village was dark and empty, the streets were silent. He was waiting for something. For someone. He knew they were out there, just waiting for him. Watching him. "This is my city!" Gamut exclaimed to the mists around him. "You shall not kill them anymore!" He spread his arms wide and looked wildly all around him. "I know you're there, listening. Just know this. If you strike me down now, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine! For what is dead may never die! But rises again, stronger and harder!" Gamut then downed all 3 vials of Iron he had on him. It just might be enough for the night. That much Iron used to be able to last him weeks, but these last few days in the village he had been flaring his Iron nonstop, and he noticed he was starting to burn through it at a faster and faster rate. But it was worth the cost. He could now almost actually detect other people just by the trace amounts of Iron in their blood. Gamut wasn't sure how healthy it was, constantly burning metals like that, he had heard some rumors of a thing called Savants with their metals, but he knew there had to be come price to pay. Some sort of toll on the body. But he didn't care. He would do whatever it took to protect the rest of the villagers. Even if it cost him his life.
  14. Oh man. This tempts me to just type/talk like normal on this site now. I have to censor myself so much for these forums, lol. I actually end up using some of the filters anyway, so this is even better, since I get to see new/different Cosmere curses! And I'm really okay with it, I totally understand why and get it. There's just been a few times I've had to review my paragraphs before I hit the Post button. I'll storming swear as much as I want to, I'll drop rust and chull bombs as much as I see fit, and there's no way in Calamity you can censor me, damnation! (Note, I actually typed all of those out, but if that's flirting the line too much feel free to edit/remove it. It's just fun to type like this)
  15. Sounds like Meta is being tormented by a Deceptionspren.... And, yeah.... apologies, Wark. Hey, you even called yourself a Red-shirt at one point. You knew what you were getting into. It is literally impossible for the remaining Spiked to win, though, if you do the logistics. Want to just give yourself up now and let us get ready for the next game?
  16. This was the part of being a Hero that nobody ever talked about. You never heard of the harsh decisions men had to make, nobody tells the stories of the innocent men condemned along the way. No. That guilt was the Hero's burden alone. "You've come so far, Wark," Gamut said, not wanting to look the man in the eye. He was still too new at this. He didn't know how to lead. How to face the responsibilities of his actions, the consequences of his choices. Saving people. Protecting people. That's what I'm good at. Not sentencing them do death. He went to go raise a bottle to offer Wark for solace, but remembered the man just got sober, in an attempt to help the villagers track down the killers at large. "Aye. Ye wanted a party invitation, but I reckon this isn't what ye had in mind.. Looks like I'll be getting drunk enough for the both of us tonight." OOC: Yeah, I don't know really. I don't suspect Mabi as much as Wark at the moment because I really don't see Clan and Erendi always selling her out like that in the previous votes. She's been on the block too much for the other Spiked to have been insisting voting on her as much as they did. So, sorry Wark.
  17. I'm in. Gammer is a prickly old woman, wise in her old age, but absolutely no patience to speak of. She says whatever is on her mind whenever she wants to say it, and she will not tolerate fools. You will speak to her with respect. Gammer is retired, so has no real profession. But gossip mongers always have her name on their tongues, and she is undoubtedly at the center of a web of information and lies. (So, basically, a cross between Cadsuane and Lady Olenna Tyrell). I doubt I'll be surviving long this game anyways, though.
  18. Is everybody who is casting a vote already done so? I don't want to throw my vote out there with people just waiting for what I say, it makes it that much easier for the remaining Spiked to hide, if I guess wrong. And don't use my List as a strict guidelines for your suspicions. If you suspect somebody, let us know. Edit: Lents and Raubber, you two have any thoughts or suspicions?
  19. How much longer we got in the Day Cycle?
  20. I will admit I am more excited for the next season than the next book, only because Season 4 will cover my absolute favorite part of the series, the ending of Book 3. So yeah, in comparison, getting a small preview about a book that's still probably got years until it comes out, isn't as exciting. I dunno. For me, I just really enjoyed the books. I guess I can understand people saying it gets slow/boring at times, but for me, that's not so much a problem, really. It's basically the same thing that happened with Wheel of Time, things start getting bigger and bigger, and may sometimes get dry with the thoroughness of it all, but to me that's just impressive. Being able to keep a consistent, fluid world like that. No, things won't always be endless excitement and battle scenes and all that 'cool' stuff. Even though GRRM delivers quite a bit more gore than most other writers. I know not many people on this forum specifically have given these criticisms, but I really don't like when I hear people complaining about the 'lack of' dragons and the wight walkers. Yeah, it's been taking awhile. But it makes sense. Dragons need to grow up. Dany just can't sit there and do nothing while they grow, which obviously has taken a little while. Same with the Wight Walkers. They are the evil forces of Winter. The series started in Summer, and seasons can last years. So now that it's Winter, I'm sure the walkers will come. Arya and Tyrion are just some of my favorite characters ever. This preview was definitely a little weird, though. It's been a while so I can't even remember who the Rooster? Sigil is supposed to be, lol.
  21. Don't worry, Argent, I'll take all of your excitement and then some. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! I love me some me some Song of Ice and Fire. Really still some of my favorite books, and the show is just spectacular and puts all other television to shame. (In my opinion.)
  22. Yeah, that would have to be at least a ~30 person game, and with all the over-powered Roles, any regular people will lose interest really fast. They seem to have a severe handicap, if not a flat out impossibility of winning. I just think there might be too many cross factions going on, and while it would be really fun to have all of that going on in a game, and the RP that goes with it, with every additional role there are balance issues that come into play. I definitely would love to play in some Post-WoR setting though. With all the new information, there's tons of possibilities. I'm thinking about when I get to GM I might try my Wheel of Time one, that could be a fun variant. I think I have enough base roles, and would only need a few tweaks for balance.
  23. *Ahem* Gamut strode into the center of town and plopped down a shiny, metal boot onto the ground. And then he began to recite: "I don't have many suspects But we have plenty of time So here are my Top 3, I hope you don't mind" And then he strode away, leaving the metal boot sitting there. Attached to it was a note, with three names: Joe Mabi Wark
  24. "Psst. Hey, Doc. You're not supposed to let them know we have that stuff yet," Gamut whispered over to Selvar. Now I wonder where we could fit a stretching rack....? He wondered to himself, looking around the town square...
  25. The remaining Spiked wouldn't be so kind enough to just come forward and call this a game, would they? I promise that we'll take it easy on you.
