I am disappointed. Honestly the Rechoner's books just don't do it for me. I was really hoping we would get Stormlight 3 in 2015. I guess that won't happen now. We will probably get Stormlight 3 in 2017 now. I know he likes to do different series to stay fresh, but at some point he is going to need to write some stormlight back to back or this series is going to span 30 years

Its not so much about the word count. Its more of the anticipation of a new book. Like for Harry Potter I felt close to the characters because I grew up reading the books. The characters started out at the same age I was.

There were sad moments and awesome moments. But as this is only the second book I am not too invested in these characters yet. Maybe after a couple more books I will be more sad, but as of now we are still getting to know the characters. It took me a few books to get real deep into the WoT world and once I was in I have never been more affected by a book. That scene was probably the most intense one I have ever read

His surgebinding wasn't working before the bridge collapsed. It stopped working during that march. And Syl was acting like a normal windspren instead of her usual self I don't think it has anything to do with him trying to save himself when he was falling. If you are falling 200 feet you are going to be selfish, thats just a fact

Dalinar had been seeing visions as well. Why not confide with his father about his visions as well? Dalinar wouldn't think him crazy at all. He knows Dalinar has been having visions. Does he think his father is cursed as well? You did bring up some good points about his courage tho. Still, I was getting pissed every character the whole book for not telling Dalinar about their abilities.

I hate Renarin. He does not do anything useful. He just comes in at the end and is like, "Actually 4 Radiants, I am one too." even though he did nothing all book. YOUR DAD WANTS TO REFORM THE KNIGHTS RADIANT AND YOU HAVE SURBINDING ABILITIES, SO WHY DON'T YOU TELL HIM. It just makes no sense. I wish Adolin was a Knights Radiant

Kaladin healed himself from a shardblade with stormilight. So i'm pretty sure Jasnah can heal herself from a knife would with stormlight. The knife would have just went through her and not hit any major organs/arteries. People survive from getting stabbed all the time

This would be great if Brandon purposefully did this to make everyone on this site start going crazy and figuring it out.

why are you so certain V=Z ?

I read all the early releases and I reread the prologue last night. So when I got the book today I immediately started reading the first chapter. By chapter two all I wanted to do was skip to chapter 7, which I ended up doing. And I feel like this threw off the whole pace of the book. I am about to start my whole reread tonight, but those first few chapters are always going to feel a bit awkward from now on. I definitely regret reading them before the book was released. The problem is, when the third book is coming out I will probably read the early releases again because I have no self control when it comes to books.

I just wanted to say that I love the book. I read it really fast, so I can't wait for my reread (which is about to start now). Just a couple of quick thoughts: -Kaladin acted like a little bitch for a little too long -Shallan is just so corny sometimes -I really wanted Jasnah and Kaladin together -Having said that, she should have stayed dead Also, I am definitely missing out on a lot of this cosmere stuff. So I got a lot of rereading to do

I am about to go out and buy WoR, but before I do I have a quick question. Throughout WoK everyone talks about how Dalinar is getting weak and how some people don't respect him anymore (mainly the other high lords). So my question is, why does Targazian (spelling??) chose to send Szeth after Dalinar instead of Sadeas? We readers know how awesome Dalinar is, but it seems like nobody on Roshar does.

My local bookstore flooded in January and destroyed the whole store. It won't reopen for quite sometime. So now I am stuck having to buy it from Barnes and Nobles and they usually do not release books early, which sucks. I am so tempted to just buy the ebook instead of the hardcopy so I can start reading it at midnight

I am trying to pre order WoR on barnes and nobles website. But they only give you the option to have it shipped. Does anyone know if I can pre order the book for pick up on the website?

For some reason I feel like all of the pre released chapters were really short. But it could be that I was so excited that I didn't even realize how much I was reading
