  1. The wiki has only one line: I believe he is only in one paragraph (in WaT ch. 63, pp. 625-6 in the hardcover book): (Quote modified for context) What stands out to me is the name. It could simply not mean anything, but (gamma radiation and stuff like that). Also, they are talking about "the changing world," and if Gamma is from, say, Scadrial, they would've had change already. Do you think his name has any significance?
  2. So, the name is kind of similar (to MeLaan). Malan is/was a minor character in early SA. https://coppermind.net/wiki/Malan. I don't think the timelines would match up though.
  3. Does 17S have a dark mode? I'm not sure if I would use it (though I use it for almost everything else), but just curious.
  4. If someone could find the exact quote, that would be appreciated. It may not have even been in Wax & Wayne, but one of the Secret Projects. But it was something along the lines of "travel to Roshar is too dangerous" or "travel to Roshar is...not ideal" or "with all that's going on on Roshar at the moment, ..." I think it was in TLM, but I could be mistaken. I just remember taking note of it while reading, and I think I wondered if that meant that Odium won the Contest of Champions. Then, I read Wind and Truth, and yeah. I also was using timelines I found online (which I now believe are NOT fully accurate, specifically with the SPs, since unless my "math" is wrong, the following one is saying that Sunlit took place like 5,000 years after Stormlight, which, while I was reading Sunlit, did not make sense at all) If this timeline was posted after WaT, the "giveaway" may be less, but anyway: I saw ~10 year gap between SA and MB2, and when I saw the aforementioned "quotes," I wondered why that was (WaT spoilers: it now makes sense with the time dilation and Retribution winning/"winning") But, point is, did anyone else catch this? Can someone find the quote? Did this actually give away or hint at the ending?
  5. So, this is something that is interesting to me, and I have made some (and plan to make more) theories regarding the Cosmere (in regards to the star cluster itself, constellations, and stars). I decided to try to make a 3D model of the stars we know of (based on the Arcanum Unbounded star chart), because I feel like it could be useful (at least to me). It's partially inspired by this WoB: So, I made a crude "website" (it's only local, on my computer, so none of you can use it yet, and it is pretty basic) that basically has the image in the background, and then I can add circles representing stars by clicking and then using my keyboard to move and resize them (I didn't want to deal with figuring out how to do it with the mouse). I can also name stars and use prefixes to "group" them into constellations. I'm using the star's size to determine the Z/depth (which may or may not be accurate). I would like feedback on the method I am using, since I don't know much about stars and stuff. Like, the AU map is 2D, but in reality, the night sky would be weirder and curved. Also, since I doubt all stars are actually the same size in reality (or the Cosmere), using the size on the chart is probably not a great (though probably semi-accurate) method of determining position. For X and Y, I just use the position on the image. Here are screenshots of the tool (green dots represent stars I have marked. You can see that I have done Threnody, Taldain, and their surrounding stars): I can then export the data, and it produces both a regular JSON export (to store somewhere and be used for importing back or other general use) and a string that can be pasted into Desmos that creates a 3D plot/model of the stars: (link: https://www.desmos.com/3d/epdezgtzwi) It doesn't exactly look the best, but it's a start. So, what do you all think? Feedback? Ideas for improvement (such as plotting accuracy)? I didn't really want to do all the stars and then find out it was a waste of effort or something.

  11. Cool, I like how it relates to your username lol. 9.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971693993/10
  12. Idk, the name is fine I guess (I'm new to the forum, how long does "Ookla" last?) the profile photo is kinda cool. 7/11 idk
  13. Taravangian (does this count?) otherwise tambourine I guess.
  14. 2582. Say that Windrunners fly. (How do we know if someone already said what we said?)
  15. What's going on here with the "noms" and glass lol.
  16. If you don't count it as a spoiler, the wiki has all the viewpoints for Arc 2 already: The source is this WoB:
  17. Wow, that's a lot of info. Thanks though.
  18. 2043?? I suppose. I'm not sure if I agree or disagree with you on this, but I do remember loving the human-singer relationship in that SR vision with Mishram's imprisonment. Yeah, he was pretty epic, wasn't he. You have forgotten to forge steel. I will teach you to fight. I am Talenal stonesinew or whatever. I will teach you how to fight. ... What do you think of him and Ash? I think it's kinda sweet that she's with and caring for him.
  19. Did you try pasting as plain text? I think it gives you the option when you paste, and you can do ctrl/cmd + shift + v to paste as plain text (no weird styles) on a computer.
  20. Oh, I totally agree here. I really hope Brandon gets more editing next time. Do you think he could release and updated/more edited version of WaT (something I believe was discussed by someone already).
  21. Definitely Wayne!!!!! He was my favorite character in Wax and Wayne as well.
  22. Can I, like, "mark this topic as resolved"? Or is that not necessary?
  23. What did you like so much about him in this book? The whole fight thing? Yeah, I might have to re-read for all that to properly sink in. Unpopular opinion but she's actually my favorite character. Although I loved Navani (and her working with Raboniel) in RoW. Maybe it was to avoid Herald-ability-related spoilers? Although it is kind of a bummer. Wasn't it important for the whole Singer-human relationship and Mishram seeing that? I forget. I agree with you. It was kinda lame, wasn't it? Not even a real Contest of "Champions." Which one was that again? About the editing, I agree. I read some stuff about this as well, and I think Brandon said what you said about GB and the time gap. I don't have much else to say, at least at the moment.
  24. You know, His Majesty King Gavilar Kholin's Royal High Cartographer?
