  1. Wait, the MR thing has a meaning? I never saw anything about that in the S.E. Explanations… so… where can I find this? What will we do during night? Or is that just a time for the coinshot and Elims and such to do their thing? I realize this will unironically get me into the derp clear debate, but since this is news to me, I’m alright with that. I’d prefer to have one less villager now if it means I know what’s happening
  2. This is only my second game, I wouldn’t say I’m particularly good at this. I did lose my first game though, the Elims won in that one. so far votes are, I think: Stick: Araris, ookla the story TJ: Fura, ookla the counter Doc: ookla the redeemed ookla the redeemed: me(ookla the broken Araris: A Jo in the bush A Jo in the Bush: ookla the wanderer ookla the hoppy: ookla the wallfacer Suprisingly there aren’t a lot of votes for multiple people. Which makes this a really good ground for the rioter and soother.
  3. So, I’m getting v!lean from |TJ| as if ye was elim he’d know the answers to those questions. Now he could be faking, but so far, based on responses it seems to be genuine confusion. I might change this later. Both Fura and Stick made a joke about being Elims and donating roles, not something I think an Elim would do, especially not in the their first post. Slight V!lean on them. So far everyone else has just been poking mostly Doc, and Tj, with Stick, Araris, A Joe in a Bush, and TOW(ookla the hoppy) getting one vote each. So far I’m not reading much into those. Though the Tj votes indicate they either think he’s Elim or have information I dont. No one’s responded to the poking yet, as far as I know, but I’ll join in the poking for now Ookla the Redeemed(Hoid Slayer)
  4. I started the second ORV, and I just finished the side stories for it as well.

I technically shouldn’t be doing this right now as I still have tests to take…..

but I want to read right now…

    so it’s happening anyways

I really like the Birthday one, it’s definitely my favorite of them side stories

  5. Granted, Australia rises out of the sea and takes its place as a moon, killing all the people on Australia due to lack of air in space. The ascent also causes tidal waves and tsunamis to wreck the coasts. The second moon also wrecks with the tides. I wish for Bane, except he’s a nice guy who wants to protect me
  6. This is always a weird convo for me. I’m lds(yall know it’s The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) but it’s always weird for me when someone not believing in Christianity points out someone thing and I’m like, “yeah, exactly” because you’re right, I do find that idea very stupid, and I don’t believe that as a Latter Day Saint, but it’s always weird that I, Identifying as a Christian(I’m not going to worry whether yall think Lds is considered Christian or not) agree with non-believers. At the very least, it feels weird-ish to me. There have been some times when I’m trying to explain my beliefs and someone points out a problem with Christianity and I’m like, “exactly! This is why I believe in the Restoration” and they just assume that because I’m agreeing with them I’m saying that they’re stance won. this is very rambly, so hopefully this makes sense to yall
  7. 4th Ideal EdgeBringer its a combination of Dustbringer(self mastery) and Edgedancer(listening to others) and so being an Edgebringer involves knowing/helping/ listening to myself, and using that to know/help/Listen to others. I know my fifth Ideal, but I don’t think I can say it yet
  8. *hugs* I’m sorry, that sucks so much, I’m assuming you’ve tried explaining to him that you have ADHD(if not, do that) so if he won’t see that… Getting a zero never feels good, and being an “A” student makes it feel worse.. *hugs tightly* Your teacher does suck though, not even apologizing? *hugs even more*

    Uhmmmm, Hammers?

So….. Medieval plate armor kinda sucks. Like, a lot. Yeah, it could definitely block a stab or a cut, getting through metal with those is hard. Like, chain mail is literally deigned to deflect those. But like, y’all, what about the transferring of force. If I hit an unsecured object, it will move until it hits something else, where the energy will then be transferred into that object. So, if here I am, doing my job in a helmet, if someone comes along, and bangs a rock into my head, the force is transferred through the helmet, and straight into my head. The peak of armor defeated by a rock. Now, I hear you say, “what about padding” yall, if you haven’t every been hit by stuff, clothes don’t help at all, so unless those knights were wearing very thick hats, it wouldn’t matter. And if they were, now the helmet is loose, and could possibly fall off, they also basically turned themselves into an oven. Whats going on here? Whacking stuff is easy, it takes more skill to learn how to stab than it does to whack, and yet, armor defends against the stabbing and slashing, but not that one person slamming a metal pole into their head, giving them at least a concussion and making them unable to fight for the rest of the battle. Like, Rock > Armor. Padding takes up a lot of space to be effective, and is good at insulating, I don’t see why a rock on a stick isn’t the best weapon available(assuming it was balanced well) the stick gives leverage, and acts as a strength multiplier, making someone with little strength able to hurt. And like, If I bonked a US in full tactical gear with a metal hammer on a stick, they’d probably get a concussion as well.
  11. Yall know what kites are, right? So the idea is basically that. We have giant kites that catch the wind to pull people/things places. The wind is already going there, we might as well hitch a ride. Well, there are problems, in case you can’t tell. The first one is the lack of constant wind. Half the time when I want to fly a kite, there isn’t any wind, and so nothing happens. Good news though, if we just go to about cloud level, the wind conditions are completely different. If there’s enough wind to push the clouds across the sky, it can push us. Plus, by being so high, we get an amazing view and we’re above most rain and storms. We have another problem though, this would have to be very light, yet somehow like a kite, and big enough to carry people. My solution is basically to make a traditional small ship, if we cut off all the ship below the main deck, we make the entire thing lighter, then by making the deck and stern out of bamboo aluminum, the light materials and large surface are will lessen the upward force needed to keep it in the air. Turning/Steering/going in any direction other than the wind will be an issue, but not a big one. We can borrow, once again from seaworthy ships and make triangular masts to tack into the wind, allowing us to go an any direction. As for steering, literally just a giant rudder designed to catch wind, so that it can be positioned to keep the ship where it wants to go. The only difficult part of this would be getting the ships up to the clouds, and for that, a Giant slingshot might be enough.

  14. That takes out taking prisoners, as any singer could become a fused if they need to. In order to take out all the fused, the US would have to hunt down and kill every single singer on roshar. This same principle kinda applies to radiants as well. If you kill a radiant, their Spren can go and bind another, giving you another radiant. As long as Roshar is willing to suffer heavy casualties, they can technically fight till the last person. Every single rosharian has the possibility of accessing surges. idk about everyone else, but I’ll bet that almost the entirety of the US military would not be able to do systematic genocide over and over in order to quash and hope of rebellion. The US cannot just occupy Roshar, they literally have to destroy it. This basically means that the US is basically extremely outnumbered against the entirety of Roshar. While most everyone will be untrained, bonding a Spren and swearing oaths does give an innate understanding of how to use them. Assuming that each Radiant can take out one US soldier, and that’s probably higher. For Fused that’s even higher as they’ve been training for war for all their lifetimes. So they might count in the hundreds or thousands. Simply that is enough to annihilate the US army. There’s about 1.3(edit: 1.3 million, spread across both soldiers, support staff, ext..) active personnel in the US military. Let’s say that they triple that for wartime enlistment and my drawing up reserves and to account for battleships and nukes and planes, etc. Roshar(the continent) is about 40,250,000 km*2, and so with 7.5 people per square kilometer, that’s around 300m people. The US would need 100 to 1 odds. That’s simply not reasonable for any military to do. Even with my low expectations of the average Rosharian, the US still would be destroyed, and plenty of people would beat plenty of soldiers by themselves
  15. Granted, as you get older, you will gradually shapeshift into a different person.(I’m making some assumptions right now) I wish for a eyepatch

    *Mental panic mode*

I did the quiz for my Math test tomorrow, and it had stuff from the entire course, not just chapter 11. And it’s not the final!

So now I’m stressing that there’s no way I can re-memorize all the formulas from the entire course by tomorrow morning….

    I may be screwed…

I really, REALLY, hope that it was just a mistake, and I don’t need to know everything in the next 10 hours.

I emailed my professor and his TA about it though, hopefully they see it…
