QF77: (S)Andor(son) Elimination
Ookla the Newt replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Is there any way to stop B ) from autocorrecting? It's annoying for ppl who like doing A), B ), C)... type stuff. What do you mean by that? Also find it kind of odd that Worldhopper voted for TUH right after Kas. And yet I can find additional reasons to be suspect of him - he's being active but not trying to solve, which is... indicative. Also don't know who else to vote. So, bc I am a hypocrite (obligatory "Sometimes a hypocrite is nothing more than a man in the process of changing") who can semi-criticize Worldhopper for doing the same thing I'm about to do... QF77: (S)Andor(son) Elimination
Ookla the Newt replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, I'm... well can I say I'm a star wars nerd if the only new things I've watched since rise of skywalker are the Mandelorian and Andor? But I at least would be just as likely to make the same references. So yeah, was more of including for completeness That wasn't at all the main reason (see above message to Doc.) It was more of three or four factors all combining in a way that seemed to make sense. That was a contributor but in no way the prime indicator. I was more suspicious of that one vote, but A) elims don't know each other, B ) he's new, and C) he's already explained it satisfactorily anyway. My main reason was the message not being claimed, which has been mostly resolved. Pending answering of the question to follow, Experience. The question: Did the message you got contain a planet whose name started with C? Reading pretty positive on Fura, CD. Doc feels off, although I don't know why. Now that Doc pointed out Argenti's non-participation even when active, I do see it, although trusting the person who I feel like is off is... an interesting move so going to think about that. All other reads unchanged. I feel like I should vote bc didn't last round, so going to dig deeper for a few minutes then come back. Incidentally, doing this without elims knowing each other is hard Edit bc of ninja post: Any reasoning for that in particular? It's a bit out of the blue...- 533 replies

The Person Below Me

No way I was Vin last year!!! Good luck! I'm being Vin as well, so I see it is a popular costume (makes my bet with my sister even stupider) (I bet that if someone else showed up to a halloween dance wearing a mistcloak I'd ask them to dance. It was misguided.) (skip me) -

QF77: (S)Andor(son) Elimination
Ookla the Newt replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I got the certain word and two planets dead drops as well. It looks like those were sent to a LOT of people, at least assuming that everyone who got them actually got them. I'm wondering what the point of the durasteel one was, bc why send it to so many people? If you do that, it loses all meaning, bc everyone knows what the person who said that word means. Almost feels like bait tbh - if someone sends something saying durasteel early enough before anyone else says it's a keyword, then we would know that person's prob a rebel. But it can't be bait bc only rebels can send dead drops. So not sure what's going on with that. Going to cut Divergent some slack for now bc he's new, but I do want to hear what his reasoning was. (then again I have been guilty in the past of not voting sm bc feel bad about it, see Unknown yesterday) I disagree with that, bc due to the lack of rebel communication, he might not have known. Don't think him doing that was suspicious either, but it's certainly not indicative of anything. My current best guess is that it's someone who wasn't active when the pileup happened. By that logic, Experience, Worldhopper, Divergent, and TwinStorm are less likely to be a rebel, although Divergent's actions are still suspect. Current reads: 1. TwinStorm as Johnny Kuplack Leaning positive. He hasn't done anything too suspect, and shared information with ppl. Then again, he is experienced enough that can't be a proof-of-innocence in any way. 2. Doc12 as Cal Kyte Mixed feelings here. He had mass dming, which isn't suspect on its own, but is when combined with some other stuff. Almost certainly wasn't the one to kill STINK bc he voted for STINK, but that can't be ruled out either bc he's experienced enough to want to cover his tracks. Additionally, he's shown interaction with the source material, and the dead drop messages had significant numbers of references (again, though, that's not indicative). He isn't acting suspect, so currently I'm going to keep an eye on him but not going to vote for him unless more stuff happens. 3. TheUnknownHammer as Unknown Leaning positive, for similar reasons as for TwinStorm. 4. Divergent as Zeke Slane I want to hear why he voted for Ksauce in more detail, but I'm willing to cut him some slack bc he's new. 6. CoderDragon as Your Mistakes Not shown up, so no thoughts 7. Argenti as Jallo Delste Not shown up (much at least), so no thoughts 8. ThatOneWorldhopper as Dying Right Now Not many thoughts right now 9. Hoid Slayer as Coming Later I can't decide whether to be suspicious of him not showing up much, but it's not rly fair to vote someone based purely on them being busy. 10. Furamirionmind as Kimrick Hammyr Not shown up, so no thoughts. 11. Experience as Garthyl Karn More likely to have killed STINK, bc voted Ksauce. Was active when STINK and Ksauce were the two main contenders. Has claimed a message, but hasn't stated which, according to Kasmir. Assuming Kasmir isn't playing some deep game, that's pretty suspect - feels like he was waiting for more info on the content of the messages. Has interaction with the source material ("Karn"), and the dead drop messages had significant numbers of references (again, though, that's not indicative). All of that together, though... Yeah I'm going to vote Experience for now. 12. -ACE- as Jasher Shea Not many thoughts right now 13. IHadAThought as Lotus Leaning negative, I'm not sure why though. Something feels off, but might be just bc he's new. 14. Kasimir as Korun Sharing information / decreasing fog of war, so leaning positive for same reasons as Unknown and Twin I think that the rancor message and the specific word message are the same one, bc I got the specific word one too (sry if that wasn't more clear)- 533 replies

QF77: (S)Andor(son) Elimination
Ookla the Newt replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Huh. Did not know that could happen. So to be clear, the Rebels tried to kill one of their own, and it got rerolled, but landed on another Rebel? Or did they deliberately vote STINK? If the former, not sure how much we can tell, if the latter, my guess is the person was active before the STINK pileup started, bc if active afterwards they'd just have voted for STINK, unless they were a really experienced player trying to avoid suspicion. Divergent could theoretically fall into that category, bc he could've changed votes to not vote for STINK to avoid suspicion, but he's new so not so sure about that. I'll do more later, my parents are telling me I need to leave now.- 533 replies

QF77: (S)Andor(son) Elimination
Ookla the Newt replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
alr I give up doing voting counts. My deepest apologies to all people I messed up their votes, it was truly inadvertent. I'll do them tomorrow, but today I am operating on 4 hours of sleep and an entire trunk-or-treat's worth of sugar. If this gets me voted out, ig I learned a lesson about SE while sleep deprived and sugar high. Not really leaning any particular way for Ksauce and STINK, and don't rly want to jump on the bandwagon. Kind of find it interesting Twin only pmed some people, bc Experience said he didn't get one and I didn't either. So he feels more like a spymaster to me - only pming people he's getting a wolf read from. I found Doc dming everyone odd at first, but handselecting seems odder. Might change this if anyone seems more suspect / i actually summon the mental facilities to do a more accurate analysis of posts. So yeah, at least for now - Twinstorm- 533 replies

oops. That's what I get for tallying votes when I am tired and sugar high... Rly sorry about that. It truly was not deliberate And yep the notes I took said that you voted STINK so where did i get Lotus from... Fixed (not that you should trust this as definite but 99% sure it's accurate now) Experience - 1 vote (Kasmir) Ksauce - 2 votes (TwinStorm, Experience) STINK - 1 vote (Ksauce)- 533 replies

Ookla the Newt replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah that happened in the other se game I've played (the purelake one), like... day 1 as well, so that's another reason I don't rly want to vote you out. I will if there's more indicative stuff, but not sure yet Not sure what to make of dm behavior, since this is the first se game I've played with dms. the votes so far are... spread out, to put it lightly. Experience - 1 vote (Kasmir) Ksauce - 1 vote (TwinStorm) Lotus - 1 vote (Ksauce) Looks like I missed Unknown getting un-voted earlier, sry about that- 533 replies

QF77: (S)Andor(son) Elimination
Ookla the Newt replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
alr just got home. I may be wearing a mistcloak rn bc I just got back from a halloween party, incidentally. (also I ate too much sugar so you have been warned.) Getting a wolf read on Unknown, bc the best way to not get thought of as the rebel spymaster would be to say you're the rebel spymaster, but that might also be way overthinking "wine in front of me". Bc then again, if I were wolf, i wouldn't make a joke like that, but Unknown's experienced enough... Yeah I'm doing "wine in front of me" thinking. Not going to vote for him for now, bc unless my tally is wrong, he's dangerously close to being voted out rn, and I don't want that to happen just bc of a random weird line of thinking. Going to refrain from voting until I read through in more detail, but I'll prob make up a tally so far to help clear things out (will edit this post if no other ones are made) I'll do some rp later bc for someone who loves this show so much, I am struggling a disturbing amount to come up with stuff.- 533 replies

If Rosharans were to have the same problem, would Connection shenanigans fix it? I'm pretty sure if the problem were to be present, it would happen the other way around, but there are several Nalthian or Scadrian worldhoppers who don't seem to struggle with the lower oxygen / higher gravity. Might be bc of acclimization though, so not sure.

I just realized something, and I can pull out or be a pinch hitter if people think I should. So basically, this saturday, i.e. the first day, I will be busy literally from 5 am to 9pm (EST). So I can do stuff maybe for like 30 minutes when it first starts, and I can catch the last 4 hours, but I won't be active most of the day unless I get lucky and can get on in the car. This will not recur for the rest of it, it's just a weird combo of events. (which will, funnily enough, end with me in a mistcloak at a halloween party. so when I first get on the Shard that evening I will have a high probability of being in a mistcloak) Will that be all right? I fully understand if not.

All right, thank you! Additionally, if the Lord Ruler was a savant or near savant, how did the side effects of that manifest? Bc I don't remember anything that might indicate a side effect of that in the book, but I wasn't actually looking for it so I might have missed it. Or was it just a side effect of Sanderson not yet having changed being a savant? (I remember seeing a WoB about him changing that around the time AoL was written)
-
I was purposefully vague in the title bc spoilers, but how did the Lord Ruler cause such an intense Soothing in so many people? My first thought was duralumin like what (WoA spoilers) but that's only for a few moments (consistent with duralumin's effects. My second thought was Compounding, but I'm not certain if Compounding could account for it either, since I was pretty certain Compounding => amplified feruchemical abilities, not amplified allomantic abilities. Sry if this question is rly trivial.

Basically the star wars tv show andor, which is based around one of the characters in rogue one, which sounds like a really random unnecessary show but it's actually amazing. Would highly recommend people watch it. I watched it without even having watched rogue one
