  1. Can I join the hat cult of elves?
  2. Oooops I missed this starting I'm really sorry but I might have to back out, my finals schedule is more hectic than I thought it would be. I'm really sorry for any inconvenience that might have caused anyone
  3. oh no. Please say it's not true.
  4. Yeah, but I wasn't sure what chaos' ookla season name is. and yeah heart attack happened. "Chaos is commenting in the last post wins? what happened" type thing
  5. I got so confused didn't figure it out until I saw the ranks.
  6. I'm currently rereading the Beyonders trilogy (yes I knowwwww its for a much younger age group than my age) and am being reminded of exactly how much I love that trilogy.
  7. If I can still join (fully understand if not)
  8. Could I join, or is there no longer time? I didn't see this until like 10 seconds ago
  9. So one person dies without being moist, another person has a box that will likely kill everyone if it gets moist. This'll be fun! (note: this is not meant to be a criticism of anyone's characters, just an odd coincidence I noticed) Also I should prob at least read the FCRRP magic systems bc I am getting very confused atp.
  10. I pity any new members right now... "Why does everyone's name say 'Ookla The [X]'? Is this a cult?"
  11. Copycat. oops That's what I get for not reading the entire list before posting...
  12. That's why I grabbed a box of spores (a bit meta knowledge but whatever). Although yeah looking at other people's characters I may be "slightly" underpowered. Pretty much fine with that if you are though.
  13. Voting for Hoid Slayer (sry Hoid) Thanks for the nightmares... Renaris cursed his indecisiveness as he revised his plans. He thought about the night before. They had met, and had agreed on who they would kill. But he had hesitated, standing in the mist and falling ash outside, and had assumed his ally would be the one to actually kill that odd lord who seemed reminiscent of a kandra. Unfortunately, his ally had had much the same thoughts, standing on the opposite side of the mansion. So he had turned away, back to safety, away from the mists. What safety remained for him. Perhaps today would change that. He wished that the Final Empire did not have to return, but it would, so he would control its return in what ways he could.
  14. It's fine, had a pretty busy day too. Yeah, I figured. Didn't really think I'd be able to keep up the charade past D3 after Sart revealed my action (this is probably bad elim play but I'm not sharing my plans or my fellow elims or anything so going to do it anyway, I don't like being elim bc lying to everyone feels weird. Liked being elim my first game but don't like it now for some reason)
  15. Ooooooh this sounds fun. Will sign up bc I really need another way to procrastinate during finals Is it all right if I have absolutely no clue how the magic systems in FCRRP work? Considered doing the magic system from a book I'm working on, but currently that aforementioned magic system is kinda going back and forth between "OP" and "OP, but the person who does OP stuff dies, so it's just really dark while still being semi-OP", so not going to use that. Lemme check the Invested arts coppermind page... Okay after a sidetrack about "wait humans can turn into singers if they alter their self image enough? Really?" I have a character. Wanted to do smth with an Aviar but I haven't read Isles of the Emberdark so I suspect I'd run into spoilers for that.
  16. Ykw why don't I, my current title ("Sleep? Never heard of it") isn't particularly good and I just picked it bc I felt like I needed one FOUR DAYS WHOOOOOOOO What's that?
  17. Wait it said rollover was Saturday at 9 CST yesterday? Am I hallucinating? Pro tip for if you're an elim - on a critical night verify rollover time. Edit: I'm really sorry if this came across as cross or abrupt, it was non-intentional (going to leave post as was though bc don't-edit-posts rule in SE)
  18. Mangos are stone fruit? Oh wait yeah they are. For some reason I don't lump them in mentally with the rest bc my mental definition of stone fruit is "the things that we suddenly get far too many of in August bc they're in season then"
  19. There is. In that nectarines have less annoying pits and taste better. Stone fruit ranking: Nectarines > Peaches > Plums >> Apricots.
  20. YESSSSS I HAD NO IDEA HOW I COULD POSSIBLY SERVE A MISSION BC I'M PLANNING TO GO TO A MILITARY ACADEMY AND CAN'T REALLY VANISH FOR 18 MONTHS IN THE MIDDLE OF THAT BUT NOW I ACTUALLY MIGHT BE ABLE TO YESSSSSSSSSSSS (seriously why was it different in the first place?)
  21. Never did decide what happened to Reka did I. And the writeup didn't say. Then again if we're going by the rp that happened while we were waiting Reka got stuck in an exploding ISB headquarters, so Kreen might actually have been better off even though he got voted out
  22. Renaris flipped through papers, desperately trying to find something that did not rely on the roll of a dice or would not fail outright. There was nothing. All his plans, ruined by a single slip. He should have seen it – he had analyzed every option, thought through the possibilities, and yet had still went with the obvious choice. Many of these papers were old plans, destroyed by recent events, but some were newer plans, who had been in sequence destroyed. Tiny mistakes, growing into massive shockwaves. Still though, there was a pathway forward. He would not insult the rest of the Assembly’s intelligence – one way or another, within a few hours his true allegiance would be known. Either by his own discovery and exile, or by Lord Sart’s being revealed to be loyal to this strange new nation. Of course, if the latter, this strange nation might not last much longer. Even without any of his co-conspirators, it might not. But the armies surrounding Luthadel were far from the ideal. The Final Empire would return, true, or as close as was possible without the Lord Ruler. But neither him nor any of his co-conspirators would have any position comparable to that they had once held within it. No, the only option was success. Some held the potential to ruin even the whisper of a chance there was now of his and his co-conspirators success. Fortunately, that chance relied on desperate last-minute ploys as the sun sunk behind the Ashmounts and whispered actions not yet known. If he was lucky, those ploys would not have been discovered. If only he had claimed to have used his political power granted by Elend for something else, instead of the honest truth – he had been so deep in his studies he had forgotten of its existence. Honesty was a dangerous business. So much of this relied on chance. Renaris didn’t like that. Uncertainty, randomness, particularly when applied to humans, frequently failed. He had been so sure his earlier speech would convince at least one person, but then Markus had disagreed with it and any support had vanished like the mists in the sun. He stood, looking out at one of the Ashmounts - Tyrian from the window, as the sun sank lower, mists slowly creeping out. The ash was falling again, it hadn’t for a few days. Perhaps it marked a return to the Final Empire. Or perhaps his downfall. Oddly, even if the rest of the Assembly had accepted that he was loyal to the Final Empire, Elend would still listen to what he had to say if he had managed to earn an Accusation. Perhaps it was a sign of the man’s naivety. Some might find it odd that he continued to be loyal to the Final Empire – during its existence he had never been fond of it. Yet two things had retained his loyalty – the Lord Ruler had saved the world once, so surely what he did must have some reason behind it. Certainly, the man who had saved the world didn’t deserve death. And second, it had become rapidly clear in the days after the Final Empire’s fall that whatever had arisen in its remnants would not survive long. So, he had found a position of power within it. And waited to strike. If this new nation was to fall – and it would, any belief it would not was innocence – he had every intention of determining how and when it fell. Unfortunately, with the arrival of the armies, his hand had been forced as to the latter. So, he and the other conspirators had accelerated their timeline. But that might crumble. He turned from the window as the sun set fully, bracing for what was to come. So within an hour or so y’all will know that I’m elim. Not going to try to pretend I’m not atp – it’s 5 seconds before rollover (yes I had a timer), no one can do anything about me saying that (I swear if someone changes an accusation after rollover bc the thread hasn’t been closed I will be TICKED). And anyway, either I get voted out or Sart does. If Sart does, y’all’ll know I’m elim bc there is no possible way Sart is town and I’m town, if I do, well that’s obvious. Also wow Hoid beating you in word count is HARD (yes I’m counting every word I write). Seriously, kudos for sending so many messages – did not fully appreciate how many you send until I was trying to send more. So yeah. Dovie’andi se tovya sagain. It’s time to roll the dice. 50/50 chance. We’ll see how this plays out. Edit: noooooo a family member walked in so I sent it 5 seconds too late
